Buck Creek (Morgan County, Missouri)

Laurie is a city in southern Morgan and northern Camden counties, Missouri, United States. The population was 945 at the 2010 census.

Old St. Patrick's Church, also known as The Stone St. Patrick's Church, is a historic Roman Catholic church located near Gravois Mills, Morgan County, Missouri. It was built between 1868 and 1870, and is a one-story, rectangular masonry structure with a one-story, L-shaped stone addition. The church measures 24 feet, 3 inches, wide and 44 feet long.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Buck Creek is an unincorporated community in Morgan County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community is on Missouri Route O about four miles northeast of Laurie. The location is just west of the Gravois Creek Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks.The community once had the Buck Creek School, now defunct. The schoolhouse took its name from nearby Buck Creek.

Mill Creek is a stream in Morgan County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary to the Gravois Creek arm of the Lake of the Ozarks.The stream headwaters arise at 38°14′23″N 92°53′10″W just northeast of Missouri Route 135 at an elevation of approximately 920 ft (280 m). The stream meanders northeast and east passing under Missouri Route 5 and enters the Lake of the Ozarks at 38°14′37″N 92°48′02″W at an elevation of 663 ft (202 m). Previous to the impoundment of the lake the confluence of Mill Creek with Gravois Creek was located 2.3 miles to the northeast at 38°15′32″N 92°45′15″W and an elevation of 620 ft (190 m) and about one mile north of the community of Gladstone.Mill Creek was so named on account of watermills near its course.

Sunrise Beach is a village in Camden and Morgan counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. The population was 431 at the 2010 census.

The Purvis cemetery is located to the southwest across the Brush Creek arm of the lake. The community of Laurie is located on Missouri Route 5 and is approximately two miles to the north, in Morgan County.

Jasper Township is one of eleven townships in Camden County, Missouri, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 5,027. Jasper Township was established in 2020, and most likely named after William Jasper.

Village of Four Seasons is a village in Camden County, Missouri, United States. The population was 2,217 at the 2010 census. The village is situated on the shores of Lake of the Ozarks and is a popular tourist destination along with the other communities in the area.

Hurricane Deck is an unincorporated community in Camden County, Missouri, United States, on the Lake of the Ozarks. It is part of the lake's resort area, and according to one source is named for a tornado which struck the area, tornadoes once being called "hurricanes" locally.According to lakehistory.info, Hurricane Deck derives its name from the nautical name for the top deck of a river steamship, which is called a "Hurricane Deck" because the wind always blew up there. There is a high ridge at the location on the lake.One of the most distinctive bridges in the Lake of the Ozarks was the Hurricane Deck Bridge, which carried Route 5 across the Osage Arm of the lake. The bridge, which was completed in 1936, was one of three "upside-down" bridges where its truss support is below the road deck, enabling passengers in cars to see the lake. The bridge's design is similar to the I-35W Mississippi River bridge that collapsed in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2007 (although the Hurricane Deck Bridge's main span was actually longer—462 feet vs. 458 feet—and the Hurricane Deck had piers in the water while the Minnesota bridge spanned both sides of the Mississippi). The other two bridges—the Grand Glaize Bridge over the Grand Glaize Arm and the Niangua Bridge over the Niangua Arm have since been torn down and replaced by girder bridges.

Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake of the Ozarks, previously known as Tan-Tar-A Resort, is a resort located in Osage Township, Camden County, Missouri, just outside Osage Beach, Missouri, at the Lake of the Ozarks. The hotel was sold in 2017 for redevelopment as part of the Margaritaville resort chain. Adjoining the hotel property is a large development of private homes known as the Tan-Tar-A Estates.
