Great Bourton

Cropredy railway station was formerly a railway station on the Great Western Railway at Great Bourton, Oxfordshire, serving the village of Cropredy. The station building was of brick and wood, and there was a goods siding.

Bourtons is a civil parish in the Cherwell district of Oxfordshire, England, including Great Bourton and Little Bourton. According to the 2011 census it had a population of 614 across its total area of 6.98 km2. The villages are about three miles north of Banbury.

Cropredy Bridge is a bridge in north Oxfordshire, England, that carries the minor road between Cropredy and the hamlet of Williamscot. It spans the River Cherwell, which is also the boundary between the civil parishes of Wardington (which includes Williamscot) and Cropredy. The bridge has three spans, a reinforced concrete deck and is faced with Hornton stone. Each of the three spans is 12 feet (3.7 m). The present bridge was completed in 1937, but there has been a bridge on this site since at least 1312.

The Battle of Cropredy Bridge was fought on Saturday 29 June 1644 (9 July 1644 Gregorian) near Banbury, Oxfordshire during the First English Civil War. In the engagement, Sir William Waller and the Parliamentarian army failed to capture King Charles. The site was placed on the Register of Historic Battlefields maintained by Historic England in 1995.

Fairport's Cropredy Convention (formerly Cropredy Festival) is an annual festival of folk and rock music, headed by British folk-rock band Fairport Convention and held on the edge of the village of Cropredy in Oxfordshire, England. The festival has taken place in August annually since 1976. Fairport's Cropredy Convention attracts up to 20,000 people each year. The festival features a single stage at the lower end of the sloping arena field. There are also ancillary events, such as Morris dancing in the streets and live music at the village's two pubs.

Grimsbury Reservoir is a relatively small reservoir owned by Thames Water just off Hennef Way, near the Grimsbury estate of Banbury, Oxfordshire. A waterworks was built prior to 1947 and was expanded in the early 1960s, when Grimsbury Reservoir was built.The reservoir is surrounded by a nature reserve and is fed by the River Cherwell, the water itself includes many species of wildlife and the site includes parking facilities and other amenities. It is often used for water sports such as sailing and kayaking clubs as well as angling. The average depth is 8 ft (2.4 m).

Hanwell is a village and civil parish in Oxfordshire, about 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Banbury. Its area is 1,240 acres (500 ha) and its highest point is about 500 feet (150 m) above sea level. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 263.

Clattercote or Clattercot is a hamlet in Claydon with Clattercot civil parish, just over 5.5 miles (8.9 km) north of Banbury in Oxfordshire, England.

Clattercote Priory was a Gilbertine priory in Oxfordshire, England. It was founded for Gilbertine canons to run a hospital in the mid-twelfth century, possibly by Robert de Chesney. The hospital ceased before 1262. The priory was refounded 1251–62. It was dissolved in 1538 and granted to Thomas Lee around 1559. The site is now occupied by a private house.
