Forest Park High School (Woodbridge, Virginia)

Montclair is a census-designated place (CDP) in Prince William County, Virginia, United States. The population was 22,279 in the 2020 census. An affluent residential community surrounding a man-made lake and golf course, development began in the late 1960s and new home construction ended during the 1990s.

Minnieville is an extinct unincorporated community that was once located in Prince William County, Virginia. The Minnieville post office stood at the corner of what is now known as Minnieville Road and Cardinal Drive from 1884 to 1924. The town was surrounded by large dairy farms, but subsequent suburban encroachment from the communities of Dale City and Montclair have since subsumed these farms into subdivision developments. Bel Air Plantation was the prominent feature here prior to the early 19th century, when large dairy farms began to flourish nearby. The plantation was located on the North side of Minnieville Road between Cardinal Drive and Spriggs Road. The main house was built about 1740. Parson Mason Locke Weems, the first biographer of George Washington is buried on the property. Bel Air Plantation was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.Though there are many residents of the subdivisions now located on land that once was recognized as being part of the town of Minnieville, the name itself is no longer used to identify this area, hence the designation of "extinct". A roadside marker is the only remnant.

Bel Air Manor is a colonial-era plantation manor located in Minnieville, Prince William County, Virginia. Built in 1740 as the Ewell family seat, the home was regularly visited by Thomas Jefferson and George Washington, who was a cousin. It later served as the home of Mason Locke Weems (1759–1825), the first biographer of George Washington and the creator of the cherry tree story ("I cannot tell a lie, I did it with my little hatchet"). Extraordinarily well preserved for its age, Bel Air was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. Today, Bel Air remains a private residence and a working farm. Bel Air is not to be confused with "Bel Aire", a similarly named house five miles to the east.

St. Margaret's Episcopal Church is an Episcopal church in Woodbridge, Virginia. The only Episcopal Church in eastern Prince William County, it belongs to the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia as part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, that fellowship of churches having a common heritage in the Church of England and in communion with the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Prince William Forest Park is a national park in the U.S. state of Virginia within Prince William County (and very partially Stafford County), located adjacent to the Marine Corps Base Quantico near the town of Dumfries. Established as Chopawamsic Recreational Demonstration Area in 1936, the park is the largest protected natural area in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region at over 13,000 acres (5,300 ha).The park serves as the largest example of Eastern Piedmont forest in the National Park System. The park also protects the Quantico Creek watershed. It is a sanctuary for numerous native plant and animal species. The park was developed by Works Progress Administration workers after the Great Depression. Landscaping and structures were designed by National Park Service architects. Four camp areas are listed individually on the National Register of Historic Places: Goodwill Historic District, Chopawamsic RDA Camp 1 Mawavi Historic District, Chopawamsic RDA Camp 2 Orenda/SP-26 Historic District, Chopawamsic RDA Camp 3 Pleasant Historic District, Chopawamsic RDA Camp 4The park also includes the Cabin Branch Pyrite Mine Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. The park itself was designed as the Prince William Forest Park Historic District in 2012.

Hickory Ridge is an extinct unincorporated town in Prince William County, Virginia. The town was located on land that is now part of Prince William Forest Park, a National Park Service property located adjacent to Marine Corps Base Quantico. The town was established shortly after the opening of the now defunct Cabin Branch Pyrite Mine in 1889 and was home to many of the mine employees.

Cabin Branch Pyrite Mine Historic District is a national historic district located at Prince William Forest Park, Triangle, Prince William County, Virginia. It encompasses 4 contributing sites and 42 contributing structures associated with the Cabin Branch pyrite mine. The pyrite mine opened in 1889, and remained in operation until 1919 or 1920. The property includes a number of capped mine shafts, and the remains of a commissary building and an old mill; and mine structures, including crusher house, mill, mechanical and support buildings, numerous rail lines.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

C.D. Hylton Senior High School, commonly known as C.D. Hylton or Hylton High School, is a public high school located in Dale City in Prince William County, Virginia, United States, and part of the Prince William County Public Schools division. The school is named after real estate developer Cecil D. Hylton, who built thousands of homes in Dale City, Virginia and surrounding areas. Cecil D. Hylton donated the land that the school grounds are currently using. In 2011, Mrs. Carolyn Custard (former Hylton High School principal) became the Director of Student Services for Prince William County Public Schools. In May 2007, Newsweek magazine ranked Hylton High School the 298th-best school in the nation on its annual list of "Best High Schools in America." Hylton High School is also home of the Irene V. Hylton Planetarium (named after Cecil's D. Hylton's wife). The planetarium offers shows to all 100 Prince William County Schools during the day as well as public offerings in the evenings and private shows by appointment. The Planetarium Director is Mr. Tony Kilgore.

Dale City is a census-designated place (CDP) in Prince William County, Virginia, United States, located 25 miles (40 km) south west of Washington, D.C. It is an annex of Woodbridge, Virginia. As of 2020, the total population was 72,088.The community is roughly bounded by Hoadly Road to the northwest, Prince William Parkway to the north, Smoketown Road to the northeast, Gideon Drive to the east, and Cardinal Drive to the south.

Weems–Botts House Museum is a small historic museum in Dumfries, Virginia, United States. The museum includes the landmark Weems–Botts House on the corner of Duke Street and Cameron Street and the Weems–Botts Museum Annex, which houses the Lee Lansing Research Library and Archive, located at 3944 Cameron Street. Both buildings are located in Merchant Park. The park's bandstand commemorates William Grayson, one of Prince William County's most respected citizens and one of Virginia's first senators. The museum tour showcases the history of Dumfries, Virginia's oldest chartered town, and people associated with the house, including Mason Locke "Parson" Weems, and attorney Benjamin Botts.The museum was restored in 1975 as part of a bicentennial U.S. restoration project. The museum is owned by the Town of Dumfries and operated by Historic Dumfries Virginia, Inc., a non-profit organization.

The Henderson House is a historic U.S. home located in Dumfries, Virginia. Alexander Henderson built this home in the late 18th century near the Old Post Road (King's Highway). Alexander Henderson was the father of Archibald Henderson, fifth Commandant of the Marine Corps. During the American Revolutionary War, the Hendersons entertained many important officers and men in this house. During the American Civil War, both the Confederate and the Union armies used the house as a hospital depending on which occupied the area. A cannonball struck the house during the American Civil War and remained lodged in the west wall for about 100 years until a souvenir hunter stole it in the 1960s.
