Nierstein-Oppenheim

Oppenheim (German: [ˈɔpn̩haɪm] or [ˈɔpm̩haɪm]) is a town in the Mainz-Bingen district of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The town is a well-known wine center, being the home of the German Winegrowing Museum, and is particularly known for the wines from the Oppenheimer Krötenbrunnen vineyards.

The Katharinenkirche (St. Catherine's church) in Oppenheim, Germany, is regarded as an important Gothic church building on the Rhine, along with the cathedrals of Cologne and Strasbourg. Construction began probably in 1225, when Oppenheim was granted Town privileges. Since the merger of the Lutheran and Reformed congregation in 1822, it is a United Protestant church and its congregation forms part of the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau. The church is a venue of church music too. Church musicians are the organists Ralf and Katrin Bibiella.

According to a legend it is the oldest named vineyard site in Germany.Glöck is one of handful single vineyard sites in Germany which for reasons of historical significance have dispensation from having to include a village name together with the vineyard's name, so the wines from the Glöck vineyard site are simply labelled Glöck. Since 1925, the vineyard belongs exclusively to the Staatliche Weinbaudomäne Oppenheim (State Domain Oppenheim Winery), which is owned by the government of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, and is part of the Dienstleistungszentrum Ländlicher Raum Rheinhessen-Nahe-Hunsrück (Service Centre Rural Zone Rheinhessen-Nahe-Hunsrück). The vineyard is currently planted with Riesling and Pinot noir vines.

Guntersblum is a former Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the district Mainz-Bingen in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The seat of the Verbandsgemeinde was in Guntersblum. On 1 July 2014 it merged into the new Verbandsgemeinde Rhein-Selz.
