Randalls of Uxbridge was a family-owned British department store in Vine Street, Uxbridge, which operated for 123 years until it closed in January 2015. The store mainly sold homeware and furniture, but also sold designer menswear.

The Regal Cinema is a former cinema building in an Egyptian Revival architectural style in High Street, Uxbridge, in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It became the ABC Regal, then Discothèque Royale, and is now a branch of the Liquid nightclub chain. It is a Grade II* listed building, built in 1930–31 for Uxbridge Entertainments Ltd (a company controlled by the cinema speculator A. E. Abrahams), and the architect was E. Norman Bailey.The author David Atwell calls it, "one of the most highly developed exercises in Art Deco attempted in any cinema", and Historic England call it, "the finest surviving work of the cinema architect E Norman Bailey".The cinema was listed in 1977 following a hard-fought campaign by local environmentalists who objected to proposals by Hillingdon Council to demolish it and surrounding buildings to build offices, flats and warehousing.

The Chimes is a shopping centre in Uxbridge, within the London Borough of Hillingdon, owned by the Malaysian pension fund Kumpulan Persaan. . Opened in February 2001, the centre includes 71 stores, cafes and restaurants, including Boots, H&M and Next as anchor stores. A multi-screen Odeon cinema with an IMAX screen is also part of the centre. A number of existing old buildings in Uxbridge High Street were restored and incorporated into the new shopping centre, which was designed with the intention of it blending into its surroundings.

The station is the terminus of the Uxbridge branches of both the Metropolitan line and the Piccadilly line. The next station towards London is Hillingdon. The station is 15.5 miles (25 km) west of Charing Cross and is in Travelcard Zone 6. The closest station on the Chiltern Line and Central line is West Ruislip, accessible by the U1 and U10 buses. The closest station on the Elizabeth line is West Drayton, accessible by the U1, U3, U5 and 222 buses. Uxbridge was formerly the terminus of a branch of the District line which ran from Ealing Common; the Piccadilly line took over in 1933.

Uxbridge () is a suburban town in west London and the administrative headquarters of the London Borough of Hillingdon. Situated 15.4 miles (24.8 km) west-northwest of Charing Cross, it is one of the major metropolitan centres identified in the London Plan. Uxbridge formed part of the parish of Hillingdon in the county of Middlesex, and was a significant local commercial centre from an early time. As part of the suburban growth of London in the 20th century it expanded and increased in population, becoming a municipal borough in 1955, and has formed part of Greater London since 1965. A few major events have taken place in and around the town, including attempted negotiations between King Charles I and the Parliamentary Army during the English Civil War. Today the town serves as a significant retail and commercial centre; it is also considered as a university town as it houses Brunel University London as well as the Uxbridge campus of Buckinghamshire New University. A part of the town which has large converted flour mills adjoins Buckinghamshire, the boundary being the River Colne. Government data analysts have confirmed within its Borough are suburbs Harefield, Ickenham, Hillingdon, Newyears Green and Cowley; with Uxbridge these are represented by six electoral wards (units for the election of councillors to Hillingdon Council and commonly for statistical purposes). The 2011 Census recorded a population figure of 70,560 for these wards combined.

It was established in 2010 and purchased by Aldar Properties, a real estate and investment company owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi in 2023. Among London Square's developments is part of Nine Elms, a rejuvenation project nearby to Battersea Power Station which was also part of a wider redevelopment. It was opened in 1973 and refurbished in 1985 and has previously been known as the Pavilions Shopping Centre and before that, The Cedars Shopping Centre. Between 2005 and 2013, the centre was known as The Mall Pavilions while under the ownership of The Mall Fund.
