Tibitó

USS Ruchamkin (APD-89), ex-DE-228, later LPR-89, was a United States Navy high-speed transport in commission from 1945 to 1946, from 1951 to 1957, and from 1961 to 1969. She subsequently served as ARC Córdoba (DT 15) in the Colombian Navy, until 1980; although scrapped, her hull and superstructure were re-erected in a leisure park near Bogotá.

Jaime Duque Park is a family-oriented amusement park located in the Tocancipá municipality of the Metropolitan Area of Bogotá, Colombia. The park contains the Jaime Duque Zoo, the Museum of Mankind, as well as replicas of several major locations and buildings from around the world. A monorail runs through the park to help get guests from one area to another. The monorail has been recently upgraded as a panoramic train. The park also has an outdoor stage for live performances. Here, the park has hosted performances by musicians such as Kylie Minogue, Guns N' Roses, Jamiroquai, The Killers, David Guetta, Paulina Rubio and Evanescence.

Autódromo de Tocancipá is a motor racing circuit located in Tocancipá, Cundinamarca, Colombia. It is the official headquarters of the 6 Hours of Bogotá, Campeonato Nacional de Automovilismo (CNA), and TC2000 Colombia.

The Zipaquirá Province (Spanish: Provincia de Zipaquirá) was an administrative division of the Republic of New Granada. It was created on 6 May 1852 when the Bogotá Province was subdivided. The province existed until 24 May 1855, when its territory was reintegrated into the Bogotá Province.

Central Savanna Province (Spanish: Sabana Centro) is one of the fifteen provinces of Cundinamarca, in the country of Colombia. It is located in the central area of the department, and has 11 municipalities. The province capital is the city of Zipaquirá.

Sopó is a municipality and town of Colombia in the department of Cundinamarca. The town is located 39 km north of the Colombian capital Bogotá.

Cajicá is a municipality and town of Colombia in the department of Cundinamarca, 39 km (24 mi) north of the capital Bogotá. It is located in the Central Savanna Province, being the third most populous municipality in the province after Zipaquirá and Chía. It is bordered by the municipalities of Zipaquirá to the north, Sopó to the east, Chía to the south, and Tabio to the west. The town is located at an altitude of 2,558 metres (8,392 ft) and has an average temperature of 14 °C (57 °F).

The Universidad de La Sabana is a private university in Colombia, supervised by the Colombian Ministry of Education. It was founded on September 21, 1979 by the Asociación para la Enseñanza Aspaen, its predecessor was the INSE "Instituto Superior de Educación", considered one of the first in distance education in the country and Latin America. La Sabana is one of the best universities in the country according to several rankings. In the 2023 edition of the QS ranking, the university ranked 701-750 and continues to be among the 100 in Latin America, while in 2020 it was ranked the second best private university in the country in teaching, the third best private university in research at national level and the third best private university in Bogotá, according to The Latin America University Ranking. In 2022 it achieved third place at national level according to icfes. Its headquarters are located in the municipality of Chía, Cundinamarca and has a large and modern campus. Its student population is 12,158 and usually ranges between 11,500 and 12,500 students, of which approximately 9,000 are undergraduate students, 50 are doctoral students, 1,500 are master's students, 1,400 are specialization students and 230 are medical-surgical specialties. It is made up of 14 academic units divided into 8 faculties, one school, three institutes and two special units that offer 24 undergraduate programs. In postgraduate programs, it offers 10 doctoral programs, 49 specializations, 18 medical-surgical specialties and 37 master's degrees, for a total of 129 active programs. The university's teaching staff totals 2,140 professors (2019). The teaching staff consists of 463 professors, of whom 35% have doctorates, 53% master's degrees, 4% specialization and 8% undergraduate-professional degrees. There are 1,502 professors. Octavio Arizmendi Posada (1979-1989), Rafael González Cagigas (1989-1995), Álvaro Mendoza Ramírez (1995-2005) and Obdulio Velásquez Posada (2005-2020) have been its rectors. In 2020, Dr. Rolando Roncancio Rachid was appointed rector, the first graduate of the university to hold this position.

Tabio is a municipality and town of Colombia in the department of Cundinamarca. It's located at 45 km (28 mi) from Bogotá. The town was officially founded April 8, 1603, by Diego Gómez de Mena, on grounds that were the property of the native Muisca who inhabited the area. Tabio borders Zipaquirá in the north, Cajicá in the east, Subachoque in the west and Tenjo in the south.

The Río Frío ("Cold river") is a river on the Bogotá savanna and a right tributary of the Bogotá River. The river, in a basin of 6,008.69 hectares (23.1997 sq mi), originates on the Páramo de Guerrero in Zipaquirá at an altitude of 3,700 metres (12,100 ft). It flows through the municipalities Tabio and Cajicá and into the Bogotá River in the south of Chía, at 2,650 metres (8,690 ft) above sea level.

The Chorrera Formation (Spanish: Formación Chorrera, N2ch) is a geological formation of the Bogotá savanna, Altiplano Cundiboyacense, Eastern Ranges of the Colombian Andes. The formation consists of coarse to very coarse conglomerates. The Chorrera Formation dates to the Neogene period; Pliocene epoch (Montehermosan to Chapadmalalan in the SALMA classification), and has a maximum thickness of 40 metres (130 ft).
