Bauhaus Foundation Tel Aviv

Bialik House (Hebrew: בית ביאליק, Beit Bialik) was the home of the Hebrew national poet Hayyim Nahman Bialik in the center of Tel Aviv, Israel, and is now used as a museum.

Yiddishpiel (combination of "Yiddish" and "spiel" - play), is a Yiddish theatre in Tel Aviv, Israel. The theatre was established in 1987 at the initiative of former Tel Aviv mayor Shlomo Lahat and Chairman of Mercantile Discount Bank Moshe Noiderfer, as well as Shmuel Etsyon who partook in establishing the theater and served as its chairman and artistic director until November 2011, when he was replaced by Sasi Keshet. Yiddishpiel's main goals are to commemorate and keep Yiddishkeit alive, as it is an inseparable part of Jewish history. The Yiddish is still alive and used quite broadly across the Jewish population today, thus the theater has a regular audience, most of which consists of relatively old people. The theater's offices are located on Carlebach Road 7, Tel Aviv. In 1996, the Knesset approved the bill of establishing a national authority for Yiddish and Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) culture, whose role is to create a strong base for the two languages and their cultures in Israel. Since its establishment, the theater has performed 42 productions which were presented in front of large audiences in Israel and in other countries. Throughout the years the theater partook in Israeli festivals as well as important foreign festivals, and has taken the stage in Wiesbaden, London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Vienna, Los Angeles, and Vilnius. The theater has a wide selection of actors, including veterans such as Yaakov Bodo and Yaakov Alperon, and younger actors, who serve as the successors of Yiddish theater and culture, among them Dudu Fischer, Gadi Yagil, Anat Atzmon, Monica Vardimon, Jonathan Rozen, Yoni Eilat, and Amitai Kedar. Actor Carol Marcovicz, also acted at Yiddishpiel until his death in 2006. Various repertoire plays are brought to the stage at the theater, which were written by various playwrights. Throughout every play, there are Hebrew and Russian subtitles as well as audio, for the benefit of those who do not speak Yiddish. In each theatrical season, Yiddishpiel presents 4 new plays, with one each quarter. Some of the plays presented were translated into Yiddish and written by playwrights such as Shakespeare, Moliere, and others; other plays were adapted into Yiddish (by Shalom Aleichem and others), and others are local plays (by Yehoshua Sobol and others).

Max Liebling House is a Bauhaus-style modernist building in Tel Aviv, Israel. Located at 29 Idelson Street, it was designed by architect Dov Karmi and built by Tony and Max Liebling in 1936.

The Tel Aviv Municipal LGBT Center (Hebrew: המרכז העירוני לקהילה הגאה, HaMerkaz HaIroni LaKehila HaGe'a) is a municipal establishment, housing the various community services provided by the City of Tel Aviv to the local lesbian, gay, bi and trans community. The center is located in a restored Bauhaus building in Meir Park at the city center.

Meir Park (Hebrew: גן מאיר, Gan Meir) is a park dating back to the early 1940s in the center of Tel Aviv, Israel. It is named after the first mayor of Tel Aviv, Meir Dizengoff and is home to the Tel Aviv Municipal LGBT Community Center.

Magen David Square (Hebrew: כיכר מגן-דוד, romanized: Kikar Magen-David, lit. 'Star of David Square') is a public square in the heart of Tel Aviv, Israel. It got its name from the fact that streets are radiating from it in six directions: Allenby Street in two directions, plus King George, Menahem Sheinkin, HaCarmel with the Carmel Market, and Nahalat Binyamin. The square is one of the busiest in the city center.

Metzudat Ze'ev (Hebrew: מצודת זאב, lit. "Ze'ev's fortress / stronghold") is an office building on 38 King George Street in Tel-Aviv, Israel. It is also known as Beit Jabotinsky (Hebrew: בית ז'בוטינסקי, lit. "Jabotinsky's House") or HaMetzuda (Hebrew: המצודה, lit. "the fortress / stronghold").

King George Street (Hebrew: רְחוֹב הַמֶּלֶךְ ג׳וֹרְג׳; Rehov ha-Melekh Jorj) is a street in Tel Aviv named for King George V of the United Kingdom who reigned during the British Mandate of Palestine. The street extends from Masaryk Square in the north to Magen David Square in the south, where it meets with Allenby Street, the Carmel Market, and Nahalat Binyamin Street. At the beginning of the 1920s, the street was called "Carmel Street." In 1935, it was changed to its current name to mark the occasion of the king's Silver Jubilee. Following the death of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir in 2012, his family proposed the street be renamed after him. The western section of the street is still called "Carmel Street", which is where the Carmel Market is located. The street is a bustling commercial centre with many stores, restaurants and coffee shops. It is adjacent to the Carmel Market, as well as Dizengoff Center mall on Dizengoff Street. Carmel Market (Hebrew: שוק הכרמל, Shuk HaCarmel) is a marketplace in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The Carmel Market bombing was a suicide bombing which occurred on 1 November 2004 at the Carmel Market located at the heart of Tel Aviv's business district. Three civilians were killed in the attack and over 50 people were injured.The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine claimed responsibility for the attack.
