Harrison station (Metro-North)

US Post Office-Harrison is a historic post office building located at Harrison in Westchester County, New York, United States. It was built in 1938 by the Office of the Supervising Architect under the direction of Louis A. Simon. It is a one-story, symmetrically massed building clad with random stone ashlar in the Colonial Revival style. The entrance is flanked by fluted, engaged Doric order columns and pilasters which support a simple entablature. The slate roof is topped by a square, flat topped cupola. The lobby features a 1941 mural by Harold Goodwin titled "Early Days of the Automobile."It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Rye African-American Cemetery, also known as the African Cemetery in Rye, is a historic 1.4 acre cemetery on North Street in Rye, New York. It was established as a burying ground for local African-Americans in 1860 through a donation of land by the Underhill family with the intent that it “shall forever hereafter kept, held and used for the purpose of a cemetery or burial place for the colored inhabitants of the said Town of Rye, and its vicinity free and clear of any charge". At least 35 of the individuals buried there are American veterans including men who served with the 20th United States Colored Infantry Regiment. The last documented burial in the cemetery was in 1964. The cemetery was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. In 2004, it was added to the African American Heritage Trail of Westchester County, a group of 14 sites which include Stony Hill Cemetery, Villa Lewaro and the Jay Estate.

Rye Neck High School is a public secondary school located in the Village of Mamaroneck, New York and the Town of Rye, New York. It is part of the Rye Neck Union Free School District and is connected to Rye Neck Middle School.

The Rye Neck Union Free School District is the school district created to serve the public education needs of parts of Mamaroneck and Rye, New York. It serves the part of the Village of Mamaroneck that is within the Town of Rye and part of the City of Rye. Rye Neck's district has four schools located on three different campuses, the middle and high schools being attached. Rye Neck is known for its up-to-date technology in the classrooms, such as interactive whiteboards in every room, and its fully fiber optic network, provided by Optimum Lightpath, connecting every computer in the four schools. All are Schools of Excellence. The elementary school, F.E. Bellows, which teaches grades three through five, was named a Blue Ribbon School in 2009, one of 314 schools so honored across the country. Rye Neck High School was ranked #97 on Newsweek's 2005 list of the Best High Schools in America. The Rye Neck Theatre Program is known for its award-winning musicals for over 30 years and has won multiple awards and nominations. The Jay Estate is a 23-acre park and historic site in Rye, New York, with the 1838 Peter Augustus Jay House at its center. It is the keystone of the Boston Post Road Historic District, a National Historic Landmark District (NHL) created in 1993. The site is the surviving remnant of the 400-acre (1.6 km2) farm where US Founding Father, John Jay (December 12, 1745 – May 17, 1829), grew up. It is also the place where he returned to celebrate the end of the Revolutionary War after he negotiated the 1783 Treaty of Paris with fellow peacemakers, John Adams and Benjamin Franklin. The preserved property is located on the south side of the Boston Post Road (US 1) and has a 3⁄4-mile (1.2 km) view of Milton Harbor. The Jay Estate is a recognized historical resource. It is part of a 10,000+ year old Indigenous peoples archaeological site and overlooks the oldest man-managed meadow on record in New York State. It is a significant African American Heritage Trail site. The Jay Estate is also one of a select few national landmarks devoted to education about the seven Founding Fathers including Washington's Mount Vernon, Jefferson's Monticello, Hamilton's The Grange, Madison's Montpelier and Jay's retirement home the John Jay Homestead.

The Boston Post Road Historic District is a 286-acre (116 ha) National Historic Landmark District in Rye, New York, and is composed of five distinct and adjacent properties. Within this landmarked area are three architecturally significant, pre-Civil War mansions and their grounds; a 10,000-year-old Indigenous peoples site and viewshed; a private cemetery, and a nature preserve. It is one of only 11 National Historic Landmark Districts in New York State and the only National Historic Landmark District in Westchester County. It touches on the south side of the nation's oldest road, the Boston Post Road (US 1), which extends through Rye. A sandstone Westchester Turnpike marker "24", inspired by Benjamin Franklin's original mile marker system, is set into a wall that denotes the perimeter of three of the contributing properties. The district reaches to Milton Harbor of Long Island Sound. Two of the properties included in the National Park designation are anchored by Greek Revival buildings; the third property is dominated by a Gothic Revival structure that was designed by Alexander Jackson Davis. This district, which also has immense archaeological significance and importance to Native American, European-American and African-American heritage, was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1993. The three-quarters-mile (1.2 km) meadow and viewshed is one of fewer than a dozen such identified Indigenous peoples sites in all of New York State. In 2005, J. Winthrop Aldrich, former assistant to six successive Commissioners of New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (1974–1994) and Deputy Commissioner New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (1994-2003; 2007–2010), attested that the District was acknowledged to be "one of New York State's finest assets", "amply deserving the rare honor of National Historic Landmark designation by the Secretary of the Interior."

The Rye Golf Club is a semi-private, municipally-owned country club in Rye, New York, and one of five constituent properties of the National Historic Landmark Boston Post Road Historic District. The centerpiece of the parcel is an 1854 Gothic Revival stone home known as Whitby Castle which was designed by American architect Alexander Jackson Davis. The club has an 18-hole golf course designed by Devereux Emmet and 2 swimming pools.

Marshlands Conservancy is a 147-acre nature preserve in the city of Rye, New York, that is fully owned and operated by Westchester County Parks. It has numerous wildlife habitats from ponds to creeks to a large meadow area, succession forest, freshwater wetlands and the only extensive salt marsh in Westchester. It borders Long Island Sound and can be entered via an easement on the historic Boston Post Road. It is one of 5 properties that together constitute the Boston Post Road Historic District. It has high archaeological sensitivity. The conservancy has also been designated an Important Bird Area.

Albert E. and Emily Wilson House is a historic home located at Mamaroneck, Westchester County, New York. It was built between 1949 and 1951 and is a "U" shaped, one story Colonial Revival style red brick residence with a low-pitched, gray slate gable roof. The office wing was added in 1953. The entry features a Dutch door flanked by small, steel casement windows. It was designed by and the home of local architect Albert E. Wilson (1878-1955), who was a partner in the prominent firm of Peabody, Wilson, and Brown.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Bird Homestead, also known as the Bouton-Bird-Erikson Homestead, is a historic home and farm complex located in Rye, Westchester County, New York. It is owned by the city of Rye and was purchased in 2009. The property is situated on Blind Brook estuary, off the Long Island Sound. The property is adjacent to the Rye Meeting House. The main part of the house was built in 1835, and is a two-story, three-bay wide frame building in the Greek Revival style. It sits on a brick foundation and has a low-pitched, side gable roof. It features a one-story, full-width, front porch. Also on the property are a contributing two-story barn built in the 1880s and a long, one-story outbuilding.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. It is operated along with the adjacent Rye Meeting House, by the not-for-profit Committee to Save the Bird Homestead.The home was owned by five generations of the Bouton-Bird-Erikson family for over 150 years. Henry Bird was renowned entomologist; his sons Roland and Junius were pioneers in the fields of paleontology and archaeology, respectively. Many of their discoveries can be seen at the American Museum of Natural History. Henry's daughter Alice Bird Erikson was an accomplished nature illustrator while Doris Bird spent more than forty years as the children's librarian at the Rye Free Reading Room.
