Rinn is a municipality in the district of Innsbruck-Land in the Austrian state of Tyrol located 6 km southeast of Innsbruck. The village was mentioned in documents as “Runne” in 1250 for the first time.

Absam is a municipality in the Innsbruck-Land District, Tyrol (Austria) situated at an altitude of 632 m, which had an area of 51.92 km2 and 6,776 inhabitants as January 2015.

The village was mentioned as “Tellevo” for the first time in 1240. Main source of income is tourism. Tulfes became a popular area of settlement due to the cities of Innsbruck and Hall.

The Tyrolean Private University UMIT TIROL sees itself as a health university and is located in Hall in Tirol. It was founded in 2001 in Innsbruck under the name Private University of Medical Computer Science and Technology Tirol. In connection with the expansion of the health sciences in 2004, the university was re-named UMIT – Private University for Health Sciences, Medical Informatics and Technology. Today, it's a private university under the University Accreditation Act UniAkkG BGBl. The university is run by Tyrol (90 percent) and the University of Innsbruck (10 percent).

The Weißenbach is a river of Tyrol, Austria, a tributary of the Inn. The Weißenbach rises in the valley Halltal and flows near Absam from Gnadenwald to the south to the village of Mils, which is located 12 km (7.5 mi) east of Innsbruck. In Mils just after the Lower Inn Valley Railway bridge it discharges into the Inn. The river has a gradient of 8 - 9%. It divides into three parts: The main part passes through Mils in a large gravel layer with a water quality between A and B grade. The river has already been channelised several times but is still a danger for the village.Side arm 1: As the Amtsbach this arm flows through Absam as far as the Münzturm of Hall in Tirol where it changes its direction eastward to Mils. This is the larger one of the two arms and provides Absam with its drinking water supply as well as water for a saw mill. The grade fluctuates between A and B grade.Side arm 2: As the Baubach the second arm flows through Eichat to Hall in Tirol where it merges with the Amtsbach and then flows further east to rejoin the main part. In Eichat the river is often misused as a rubbish dump which reduces the water quality to B grade.From Hall in Tirol to Mils the water quality is B grade due to the wastewater of the city and the facilities which use the water. In the larger undercurrents there are few fish anyway.

Mils is a municipality in the district Innsbruck-Land of Tyrol, Austria. It is located 12 km east of Innsbruck. The area is restricted by the Weißenbach in the west and the Inn in the south. The location was mentioned in documents in 930 for the first time. In the last 40 years Mils grew enormously thanks to its sunny location.

The Innsbruck bypass (German: Umfahrung Innsbruck or sometimes Güterzugumfahrung Innsbruck, that is the Innsbruck freight railway bypass) is a 14.853-kilometre (9.229 mi)-long double-track electrified main line of the Austrian railways. It connects the Lower Inn Valley railway with the Brenner railway, bypassing Innsbruck. It was opened on 29 May 1994. The line is at a major part of the rail freight network of Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). The bypass is part of the Line 1 of Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T). It was intended to increase the capacity of the line and to reduce the noise created by freight trains on the city of Innsbruck. It cost an estimated €211 million to build.The Deutsche Reichsbahn (German Imperial Railways) built a local bypass of Innsbruck station during World War II in 1944, which was demolished in 1945.Major components of the Bypass Innsbruck are: the grade-separated Fritzens-Wattens 2 junction, the 488 metre-long bridge over the Inn, the 12,696 metre-long Inntal (Inn valley) tunnel the Innsbruck 1 junction

Thaur is a municipality in the district of Innsbruck-Land in the Austrian state of Tyrol located 5 km east of Innsbruck between Rum, Austria and Hall in Tirol. Settlement of the area probably began around 1000 BC but the location was mentioned as “Taurane” for the first time in 827. Thaur is very religious even nowadays.

Rum is a market town (since 1987) located in the Austrian state of Tyrol on the eastern border of Innsbruck in the administrative district of Innsbruck-Land. Since World War II, because of proximity to Innsbruck and development of an industrial area in Neu-Rum (New Rum), which abuts the Olympic Village district of the city, its population has greatly increased and it has become one of the richest municipalities in the state. The Hoch-Rum (Upper Rum) neighbourhood above the old centre of the town was an earlier development and includes a private clinic. Today Rum is functionally part of Innsbruck, sharing its municipal services and transportation network, but efforts to incorporate it into the city have so far been unsuccessful.

Baumkirchen is a community in the district of Innsbruck Land. It lies in the Inn Valley north of the Inn River on a batter of the Gnadenwald terrace. The village can be reached via the Inn Valley Motorway.
