The Diocese of Jefferson City (Latin: Dioecesis Civitatis Jeffersoniensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory, or diocese, of the Catholic Church in the state of Missouri in the United States. It is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of St. Louis. The mother church of the Diocese of Jefferson City is the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Jefferson City.

The Cathedral of Saint Joseph is the mother church for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Jefferson City in Missouri. The cathedral serves as the parish church for the bishop, who is currently the Most Reverend Shawn McKnight, the fourth bishop of Jefferson City. The cathedral sits on a 25-acre (100,000 m2) site that also includes a former Carmelite monastery, the Alphonse J. Schwartze Memorial Catholic Center, St. Joseph Cathedral School, and the Cathedral of Saint Joseph parish offices, which were formerly a convent that housed the Sisters of Mercy. The current pastor is the Reverend Fr. Louis Nelen.

Cedar City is a former incorporated city in southern Callaway County, Missouri, United States. It is located on the Missouri River floodplain across the river channel from Jefferson City and is near the interchange of U.S. Routes 54 and 63. It is part of the Jefferson City, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. Cedar City was platted in 1866 and is named after the eastern redcedar tree. David Kenney, owner of the Cedar City Land Company petitioned to have the community incorporated in 1870. It existed as a city until 1989, when the city merged into Jefferson City. The population of the city before the merger was reported as 427 in the 1980 Decennial Census. Flooding of the Missouri River in 1993 inundated the entire community and virtually all the homeowners were bought out by the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA). Most of the area of the former city now consists of parks and businesses. A post office called Cedar City has been in operation since 1870.

The Senator Roy Blunt Bridge is a twin continuous through arch truss bridge over the Missouri River at Jefferson City, Missouri, which carry U.S. Routes 54 (US 54) and 63 between Cole County and Callaway County. Before being officially named for former Missouri Senator Roy Blunt in 2022, the bridge was known as the Jefferson City Bridge.As of 2018, the combined bridges see approximately 29,000 vehicle traversals per day.

West End Saloon, also known as Paddy Malone's, is a historic commercial building located at Jefferson City, Cole County, Missouri. It was built in 1863, and expanded and enlarged between 1892 and 1898. It is a three-story, rectangular, Second Empire style brick building. Herman Haar House, also known as the Haar-Bergman House and Byrd House, is a historic home located at Jefferson City, Cole County, Missouri. It was built about 1859, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, four-bay, Missouri-German Vernacular brick dwelling. It has a gable roof and two front doors. Dr. Joseph P. and Effie Porth House, also known as the William Porth House and Colonial Tea Room, is a historic home located at Jefferson City, Cole County, Missouri. The original building was built between 1827 and 1842, and the mansard roof was added between 1885 and 1888. It is a square two-story limestone house with partial walkout basement on the front facade. It features a bracketed cornice and an iron balcony between the basement and first floor.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

They also oversee Missouri Digital Heritage with the Missouri State Archives.They publish the Missouri Public Library Standards, maintain a directory of all the libraries in the state, the Wolfner News, and an e-newsletter called the Show Me Express. They also create reference guides for other state agencies in Missouri. The Wolfner Talking Book and Braille Library is housed within the State Library and offers free library services to anyone who is unable to read print materials.

Villa Panorama is a historic home located in Jefferson City, Cole County, Missouri. It was built in 1907, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, Colonial Revival style brick dwelling. It sits on a rough ashlar limestone basement and has a slate gambrel roof with dormers. It features an entrance portico and porte cochere. Also on the property are the contributing brick carriage house, pump house, and landscaped property with stone grotto.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
