It is also home to the Raymore Skate Park and Recreation Park Pond.

Watkins Family Farm Historic District, also known as Lakeland Farm, is a historic home and farm and national historic district located near Raymore, Cass County, Missouri. The farm includes 18 contributing buildings, three contributing sites, and 21 contributing structures dated between about 1868 and 1957. They include three residential buildings, eight barns, three machine and implement sheds, four wells, ten dams and ponds, and a number of ancillary structures such as a milk house, a pump house, an outhouse, a silo, two corn bins, two chicken coops, three cattle feeder structures, and a cattle loading ramp. The Allen-Watkins Residence was built in 1913, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, Prairie School style frame dwelling built from the Sears and Roebuck Company prefabricated kit for Sears House Plan #227, "The Castleton."It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Raymore–Peculiar High School (Ray-Pec) is a public high school in Peculiar, Missouri. It is a part of the Raymore-Peculiar School District. The school's mascot is the Panther, and the official colors are black, white, and gold. It is also a participant in Missouri's A+ Program. The boundary of its school district, and therefore its attendance boundary, includes sections of Cass County, Missouri. This includes all of Peculiar and Raymore as well as an eastern portion of Belton, sections of Lee's Summit, and much of Lake Winnebago, as well as unincorporated areas.It is commonly referred to as "Ray-Pec."

The park was closed as a part of the continuing efforts to slow the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19. It is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area.

The Belton, Grandview and Kansas City Railroad (SHRX) is short line passenger railroad and museum located in Belton, Missouri. It operates as a heritage railroad, on what was once the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway, on the Kansas City to Springfield branch. With the merger of the Frisco with the Burlington Northern, the line was partially sold to Kansas City Southern North of 155th Street, The north of the line is used once a year when tree trimming/weed spraying takes place, The tracks are bad but still can be used, The bridge is still there past Markey Road but with missing ties, With the southernmost portion from Peculiar, MO. to Clinton, MO. being scrapped and abandoned. This left the remaining trackage of a few miles connecting Grandview and Belton, Missouri. It currently operates a 1952 GM GP 9 locomotive, which is used to pull an excursion train. Also included in the collection are various locomotives, cars and equipment.
