Heritage High School is a high school in Palm Bay, Florida run by Brevard Public Schools. It is the 16th school in the district. The school is located on 65 acres (26 ha) of land with a student capacity of 2,384.

The Malabar Transmitter Annex is currently used as an auxiliary communications annex in support of space activities for NASA and the U.S. Space Force. The facility is under the control of the 45th Space Wing; security is administered by Patrick Space Force Base. Originally established as the Malabar Naval Outer Landing Field as a naval airfield in 1943 within Brevard County, Florida to augment what was then Naval Air Station Melbourne. The airfield, which had four runways, was decommissioned as an active airfield in the mid-1950s.

Lake Hell 'n Blazes, Hellen Blazes or Helen Blazes, is the source of the St. Johns River, located in Brevard County, Florida, United States, about 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Melbourne. The lake is 260 acres (110 ha) in area, and is at the head of the St. Johns River.The name "Hell 'n Blazes" has been attributed to the words used by early 20th century fishermen while trying to navigate through floating islands, and to the formerly remote location of the lake. The variants "Hellen Blazes" and "Helen Blazes" have been used as euphemisms.The lake originally was in a marshy floodplain that was 10 to 20 miles (16 to 32 km) wide. As agriculture expanded into the floodplain, canals were dug draining into the lake, and the marshes were reduced to just 3 miles (4.8 km) wide near the lake. Heavy rainfall sends large quantities of polluted water into the lake. The lake had been reputed to be one of the best bass-fishing lakes in Florida, but was in decline by the 1970s. Bass stopped spawning in the lake, and rarely entered it. In 1992 the lake was clogged with hydrilla and water hyacinth. By 1994 drainage had left the lake with only a foot or two of water, grounding the floating islands it was known for.A 1992 report to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission concluded that dredging accumulated sediment from the lake bottom would restore the bass fishery in the lake. As of 2006 no funding had been approved for a dredging project.The nearby Helen Blazes archaeological site is named for the lake.

Palm Bay is a city in Brevard County, Florida, United States. The city's population was 119,760 at the 2020 United States census, making it the most populous city in the county and the largest by land mass. The historic section of the city lies on the mouth of the Turkey Creek and the Palm Bay. Palm Bay has historically expanded south and to the west. The newer section is mostly situated west of Interstate 95 and south of the Tillman Canal.Palm Bay is a principal city of the Palm Bay−Melbourne−Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area, which had a population of 606,612 at the 2020 census.

Covenant Christian School was a private Christian school located in Palm Bay, Florida. The school educated students in Kindergarten to 12th grade. The school was founded as a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Palm Bay in 1993. It is no longer associated with the church. The school announced that it would merge with Calvary Chapel Academy on their campus beginning in the fall of 2021, making the 2020–2021 school year the final one for the school. The final school day and chapel was on May 21 with the final graduation on May 28.The school building is now apart of the Pineapple Cove Academy campuses located throughout Palm Bay as of 2023.

The Compound, also known as "Street Patterns" or "The Grid", is an area in southwestern Palm Bay, Florida, similar to Flagler Estates. It is a largely undeveloped area of some 200 miles (320 km) of paved roadway in various states of disrepair. General Development Corporation began development of the area in the late 1980s, but went bankrupt in 1991 leading to the developments cancellation.

Sawgrass Lake is a lake in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is one of the lakes that form the St. Johns River. The lake is usually accessed by boat from a ramp located on U.S. Route 192 on the west shore of the St. Johns River. The lake is located near the river's headwaters, and the size of the lake is limited by the low velocity of the river at this point. It is only 4 miles (6.4 km) in diameter with a surface area of less than 1,000 acres (4 km2). The lake is only 3 miles (4.8 km) upstream from Lake Washington, the county's largest lake. Governed by the St. Johns Water Management District.
