Randolph Center Historic District

WCVR (1320 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a hybrid country music format to Randolph, Vermont, United States. Established in 1968, the station is owned by Robert and John Landry, through licensee Sugar River Media.

Randolph is a town in Orange County, Vermont, United States. The population was 4,774 at the 2020 census, making Randolph the largest town in Orange County. The town is a commercial center for many of the smaller, rural farming communities that surround it. When the area was originally settled there were three villages—Randolph Center, East Randolph and West Randolph—the current locations of the three fire departments. What is now Randolph, the primary village of the town, had previously been the village of West Randolph.

Randolph is the primary village and a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Randolph, Orange County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 2,083, out of 4,774 in the entire town of Randolph. The CDP is in southwestern Orange County, in the southwestern corner of the town of Randolph. It is bordered to the east by the Third Branch of the White River and its tributary Ayers Brook, all part of the Connecticut River watershed. Vermont Route 12 passes through the center of the village as its Main Street, leading north through Brookfield Gulf 17 miles (27 km) to Northfield and south 7 miles (11 km) to Bethel. Vermont Route 12A departs Route 12 in Randolph and leads northwest, then north and northeast 22 miles (35 km) to Northfield. Vermont Route 66 has its western terminus in Randolph and leads east 3 miles (5 km) to Randolph Center and 7 miles (11 km) to East Randolph. Interstate 89 passes 2 miles (3 km) east of Randolph, accessible from Route 66. The New England Central Railroad passes through the village, with Amtrak passenger service available from Randolph station in the village center.

Chandler Music Hall (AKA Chandler Center for the Arts) is a historic performance venue in Randolph, Vermont. Built in 1907 as a combination music hall and parish house (the latter for the nearby Bethany Church), it has one of the best-preserved period theatrical interiors in northern New England. The building is owned by the town, and is used for entertainment events. The portion of the building that housed the parish house is now an art gallery. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Chandler Music Hall and Bethany Parish House in 1973.

The Kimball Public Library is the public library serving Randolph, Vermont. It is located at 67 Main Street, just north of the town center, in an architecturally distinguished building donated by Col. Robert Kimball, a Randolph native. Built in 1902, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Randolph station is an Amtrak train station in Randolph, Vermont, United States. The only train that serves the station is the Vermonter, which operates between St. Albans, Vermont and Washington, D.C. The former depot building contains a market and restaurant. On the other side of the tracks is the depot for a non-profit bus company, Tri-Valley Transit, essentially creating an unofficial intermodal transportation center. However, the schedules of the two systems are not aligned in any way.

The Depot Square Historic District encompasses the historic commercial business district of Randolph, Vermont. Developed in the mid-19th century around the facilities of the Central Vermont Railway, the area features a high concentration of well-preserved Second Empire and late Victorian commercial architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Braley Covered Bridge, also called the Johnson Covered Bridge and Upper Blaisdell Covered Bridge, is a wooden covered bridge that crosses the Second Branch of the White River in Randolph, Vermont on Braley Covered Bridge Road. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The bridge was built in 1904 as an uncovered kingspost truss bridge, and was covered in 1909.

Gifford Medical Center is a hospital in Randolph, Vermont. It is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital and part of the federally qualified health center Gifford Health Care which operates clinics in the nearby towns of Berlin, Bethel, Chelsea, Rochester, Sharon and White River Junction. It also operates a physical therapy practice, a home care agency, and an assisted-living facility. The Chief Medical Officer is Dr. Josh White and the CEO is Dan Bennett. In 2016, Gifford had 700 employees and net assets of about $50 million.

Mari-Castle is a historic summer estate at 41-43 South Main Street in Randolph, Vermont. Built in 1886 for Albert Brown Chandler, it was the town's finest summer house of the period, and was named for Chandler's wife Marilla. Chandler, president of the nationwide Postal Telegraph Company, was a Randolph native, who funded construction of the Chandler Music Hall. His estate, now used primarily for professional offices, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Gifford Covered Bridge, also called the C.K. Smith Covered Bridge, is a wooden covered bridge that crosses the Second Branch of the White River in Randolph, Vermont on Hyde Road. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It is one of two bridges in the state that was uncovered when first built, its trusses boxed for shelter.

The Kingsbury Covered Bridge, also called the Hyde Covered Bridge, is a wooden covered bridge that carries Kingsbury Road across the Second Branch of the White River in Randolph, Vermont. Built in 1904, it is last documented covered bridge to be built in Vermont during the historic 19th and early 20th century period. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
