President Lincoln and Soldiers' Home National Monument

President Lincoln and Soldiers’ Home National Monument, sometimes shortened to President Lincoln's Cottage, is a national monument on the grounds of the Soldiers' Home, known today as the Armed Forces Retirement Home. It is located near Brookland in Washington, D.C. President Lincoln's Cottage was formerly known as Anderson Cottage. President Abraham Lincoln and family resided seasonally on the grounds of the Soldiers' Home to escape the heat and political pressure of downtown Washington, as did President James Buchanan (1857–1861) before him. President Lincoln's Cottage also served as the Summer White House for Presidents Rutherford B. Hayes (1877–1881) and Chester A. Arthur (1881–1885).

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Rock Creek Parish, is a historic Episcopal church located on Rock Creek Church Road, NW, in Washington, D.C., United States.

Petworth Gardens, also known as the Webster Garden Apartments, are historic structures located in the Petworth neighborhood in the Northwest Quadrant of Washington, D.C. They were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

United States Soldiers' and Airmen's Home National Cemetery, in Washington, D.C., is located next to the Armed Forces Retirement Home. It is one of only two national cemeteries administered by the Department of the Army, the other being Arlington National Cemetery. The national cemetery is adjacent to the historic Rock Creek Cemetery and to the Soldiers' Home.

Curley Court was a dormitory for 98 upper-class students at The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, United States. Constructed in 1998 and named for the university's former chancellor, Cardinal Michael Curley, it was renovated in 2007. Curley Court consisted of 24 occupied mobile homes with one additional trailer serving as a laundry facility. Curley Court was last occupied by students in the Fall 2014 semester and removed beginning in the Spring 2015. New construction and reconfigured parking will replace Curley Court. It was deconstructed in 2015.

The Armed Forces Retirement Home – Washington is a retirement home for retirees of the United States Armed Forces located in the Park View neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The complex forms an historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

The Adams Memorial is a grave marker for Marian Hooper Adams and Henry Adams located in Section E of Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, D.C., featuring a cast bronze allegorical sculpture by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The shrouded figure is seated against a granite block which forms one side of a hexagonal plaza, designed by architect Stanford White. Across from the statue is a stone bench for visitors. The whole is sheltered by a close screen of dense conifers.

Rock Creek Cemetery is an 86-acre (350,000 m2) cemetery with a natural and rolling landscape located at Rock Creek Church Road, NW, and Webster Street, NW, off Hawaii Avenue, NE, in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington, D.C., United States. It is across the street from the historic Soldiers' Home and the Soldiers' Home Cemetery. It also is home to the InterFaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington. On August 12, 1977, Rock Creek Cemetery and the adjacent church grounds were listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Rock Creek Church Yard and Cemetery.

Kauffmann Memorial is a public artwork by American artist William Ordway Partridge, located at Rock Creek Cemetery in Washington, D.C., United States. Kauffmann Memorial was originally surveyed as part of the Smithsonian's Save Outdoor Sculpture! survey in 1993. The memorial is a tribute and grave for the former owner of the Washington Star and president of the Corcoran Gallery, Samuel Kauffmann.

St. John Paul II Seminary is a Catholic diocesan minor seminary located at 145 Taylor Street in northeast Washington, D.C. The seminary is owned and administered by the Archdiocese of Washington and was founded in 2011 by Cardinal Donald Wuerl. The seminary is named after Pope St. John Paul II. St. John Paul II Seminary is located near the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and the campus of The Catholic University of America, where the seminarians receive their academic formation. After completing their philosophy requirements, the seminarians transfer to a major seminary for the completion of their priestly formation.
