New Haven Junction station

New Haven is a town in Addison County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,683 at the 2020 census. In addition to the town center, New Haven contains the communities of Belden (sometimes called Belden Falls), Brooksville, New Haven Junction and New Haven Mills.

New Haven is the central settlement and a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of New Haven, Addison County, Vermont, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.It is in north-central Addison County, in the north-central part of the town of New Haven. Vermont Route 17 passes through the community, leading east 4 miles (6 km) to Bristol and west 1.4 miles (2.3 km) to U.S. Route 7 at New Haven Junction. Middlebury, the Addison county seat, is 8 miles (13 km) south of New Haven.

The Bottum Farm is a historic farm property at 1423 North Street in New Haven, Vermont. With a history dating back to the early 1770s, it is one of the community's oldest farm properties, and is also significant for its association with Justus Sherwood, a major in Vermont's Revolutionary War-era history. The property, which now includes buildings dating from the mid-19th to early-20th centuries, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

The New Haven-Weybridge Rattling Bridge is a historic bridge spanning Otter Creek between the Vermont towns of Weybridge and New Haven. It connects Town Highway 7 (Pearson Road) in New Haven with Town Highway 11 (Morgan Horse Farm Road) in Weybridge. Built in 1908 by the American Bridge Company, it is a well-preserved example of a rivet-connected lattice truss bridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Bridge 26 in 2006.

Brooksville Advent Church is a historic church at 1338 Dog Team Road in New Haven, Vermont. It was built in 1837 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. It was delisted in 2016.

The Dog Team Tavern was a restaurant located on Dog Team Road, off U.S. Route 7, roughly 4 mi (6.4 km) north of the town of Middlebury, Vermont in Addison County. It was located geographically in the Champlain Valley of the Green Mountains, the Vermont part of the Appalachian Mountain range. The restaurant burned down in early September 2006, destroying artifacts of the Grenfell Mission and Labrador handicrafts. The rustic restaurant was a local landmark known for its sizable portions (most notably the prime rib) and the "relish wheel," which typically contained corn relish, apple butter, horseradish cottage cheese, beets, and sauerkraut. Also, the restaurant's famous sticky buns were always served at the beginning of each meal. The restaurant was very popular among students from the nearby Middlebury College, who often flocked there with family during the college's fall family weekends. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002, and delisted in 2016.

The Cotton Free Library is the public library serving the town of Weybridge, Vermont. It is located on Quaker Village Road, in a small architecturally distinguished Colonial Revival building constructed in 1913 donated by Joshua Franklin Cotton. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Weybridge Town Hall is located on Quaker Village Road in northern Weybridge, Vermont. It was built in 1847, originally serving as the Wesleyan Methodist Church before becoming the town's first and only town hall in 1893. A fine example of Greek Revival architecture, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The Addison-5 Representative District is a one-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Addison-5 District includes all of the Addison County towns of Bridport, New Haven, and Weybridge. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The one member Addison-5 District had a population of 3,725 in that same census, 8.23% below the state average.

Union Church, also known as the Union Church of New Haven Mills is a historic church at the junction of River Rd. and East Street in New Haven, Vermont. Built in 1851, it is a fine local example of Greek Revival architecture with added Queen Anne Victorian features, and one of the oldest surviving buildings in a once-thriving mill village. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Lampson School is a historic school building at 44 Summer Road in New Haven, Vermont. Built in 1868, it is a prominent example of Italianate architecture, donated to the town by one of its native sons, Curtis Lampson. It served as a public school until 1940, and was afterward converted to residential use. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
