Grange School Rowing Club is a rowing club on the River Weaver, based at the Boathouse, off Willow Green Lane, Little Leigh, Northwich, Cheshire.

Acton Bridge (formerly Acton) is a village and civil parish in Cheshire, England. Located within the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester on the River Weaver, it is near the Trent and Mersey Canal at approximately 53˚ 16′ N, 2˚ 36′ W. It has a population of 602, increasing to 631 at the 2011 Census. Acton Bridge is served by its own railway station, operated by London Northwestern. Acton Bridge Parish Council meets in the Parish Rooms. There is an active Community Association, and a number of other organisations exist within the village.

It is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Chester and the deanery of Great Budworth. It is one of three parish churches in the parish of Aston-by-Sutton, Little Leigh and Lower Whitley. The others being St Peter, Aston-by-Sutton and St Luke, Lower Whitley. Until 31 May 2013, the three were separate parishes united in a benefice along with St Mark, Antrobus

Dutton Locks is a historic lock on the River Weaver in Cheshire, England. The locks are Grade II listed with Historic England. The locks are still in use and form a destination for walkers and cyclists. Dutton Locks is also the name of a hamlet of approximately six residences adjacent to the locks.

Hefferston Grange is a former country house to the southwest of the village of Weaverham, Cheshire, England. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Dutton Horse Bridge is a timber twin-span footbridge across part of the Weaver navigation, near the villages of Acton Bridge and Dutton in Cheshire, England. The bridge is located at SJ 583 767, between the Dutton Locks and Dutton Viaduct. It carries the towpath across a subsidiary channel used to regulate the water level, at the point where it rejoins the main river.The bridge dates from 1915–1919 and is by John Arthur Saner. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building; the listing describes it as "an elegant structure in the functional waterways tradition". The bridge is one of the earliest remaining examples of a laminated timber structure, and is also believed to be the sole laminated greenheart timber bridge in the country.

Little Leigh (formerly Leigh-juxta-Bartington) is a civil parish and village within the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is situated on high ground on the north bank of the River Weaver; it is approximately 2 miles north of Weaverham on the A533 road and about three miles north-west of Northwich. The population of the civil parish taken at the 2011 census was 567.

Weaverham High School is a coeducational secondary school located in Weaverham, Cheshire, England.Weaverham High School is one of the partner high schools of Sir John Deane's College. Many pupils from the school that go on to attend sixth form will apply to Sir John Deane's, and similarly, a large proportion of the sixth form college's intake is from Weaverham High School. In 1997, Weaverham High School was designated an official DfES Technology College, and in 1998 a new computer network was installed, with 380 new workstations and 18 interactive whiteboards. The school now has an interactive whiteboard and a computer in all major classrooms. Over the last 10 years the school has undergone a large scale refurbishment, starting with a new sports hall and all-weather astroturf pitch, a purpose-built science block, a creative arts centre including a fully equipped drama studio, a library and learning resource centre and new toilet facilities. A fire in the mathematics department in 2007 triggered further major refurbishments to both the affected department, and the adjacent Design and Technology Department. Previously separate buildings, the two are now joined completely by an extension built across the path that was previously used as an entrance to both departments. Weaverham High School pupils are noted for academic achievement, with both a higher than average intake from primary school, and GCSE results consistently above the country's average. In 2008 the percentage of pupils achieving five or more GCSEs at grades A*-C was 66%, with the average being 65.3%. The figure for 2009 was 75%. The school has recently had further construction to adding 2 more science laboratories and new language and geography rooms. Previously a foundation school administered by Cheshire West and Chester Council, in April 2023 Weaverham High School converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by the Sandstone Trust.

Dutton Viaduct is on the West Coast Main Line where it crosses the River Weaver and the Weaver Navigation between the villages of Dutton and Acton Bridge in Cheshire, England (grid reference SJ581764), not far from Dutton Horse Bridge. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a Grade II* listed building. The viaduct was constructed during 1836, and was complete on 9 December of that year. It was the longest viaduct on the Grand Junction Railway (GJR). The viaduct was built at a cost of £54,440 (equivalent to £5,450,000 in 2021). The engineers were Joseph Locke and George Stephenson, and William Mackenzie was its contractor.Since entering use in July 1837, Dutton Viaduct has remained in regular use. During its operating life, it has been subject to change; during the 1960s, the line was electrified overhead lines and supporting metalwork were installed across its length and its line speed was increased to 125 miles per hour (200 km/h) in the West Coast Main Line route modernisation programme. It became a listed structure in the early 1990s.
