Secondteatret, or Sekondteatret, was a theatre and theatre academy established in Kristiana in 1899 by Ludovica Levy and her husband Dore Lavik. Its opening performance was an adaptation of Schiller's play Mary Stuart on 25 August 1899. The theatre closed in 1901. The building was located on the site of the old Tivoli theatre in central Oslo.

Theatre Moderne was a music-hall theatre in Kristiania, Norway. It was established by Benno Singer in 1914, and closed in 1925. The stage was located in Tivolihaven. Among the actors were August Schønemann, who had his breakthrough at this theatre, and Signe Heide Steen.

Balkongen was an avant-garde theatre in Oslo established in 1927 and disestablished in 1928. Its founder and artistic director was Agnes Mowinckel.

The National Theatre in Oslo (Norwegian: Nationaltheatret) is one of Norway's largest and most prominent venues for performance of dramatic arts.

Nationaltheatret is an underground metro station and tram stop serving Vika and the city center of Oslo, Norway. It is located on the Common Tunnel of the Oslo Metro and on the Briskeby Line of the Oslo Tramway. Also located at the same place is Nationaltheatret Station of the Drammen Line. The station is served by all five lines of the metro, and lines 11 and 13 of the tramway. In addition, several bus services call at the station. It is named for the National Theatre located nearby. The tram stop in the area opened in 1894. Nationaltheatret was the first underground station in the Nordic countries; construction of a 1.6-kilometre (1.0 mi) tunnel from Majorstuen to the city center started in 1912, but was not finished until 1928. Until the 1987 opening of Stortinget, Nationaltheatret was the city terminus for the four western light rail lines: the Holmenkollen Line, the Røa Line, the Sognsvann Line (from 1934) and the Kjelsås Line (from 1942). The mainline railway station opened in 1980, and in 1993, the light rail station was upgraded to allow metro trains to run through it.

Chat Noir (French for 'black cat') is a cabaret and revue theatre in Oslo, Norway. It was established in 1912 by Bokken Lasson. The current director is Tom Sterri.

Oslo City Hall (Norwegian: Oslo rådhus) is a municipal building in Oslo, the capital of Norway. It houses the city council, the city's administration and various other municipal organisations. The building as it stands today was constructed between 1931 and 1950, with an interruption during the Second World War. It was designed by architects Arnstein Arneberg and Magnus Poulsson. The building is located in the city center, in the northern part of the Pipervika neighbourhood, and it faces Oslofjord. Oslo City Hall is built of red brick and has two towers, one 63 meters tall and other 66 meters tall. The bricks used are larger than what was typical at the time of construction, but are roughly the same size as bricks used in the Middle Ages. The bricks, measuring approximately 27.5 × 13 × 8.5 cm, were produced by Hovin Teglverk in Oslo. The eastern tower has a carillon set of 49 bells. Various events and ceremonies take place in the building, notably the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, which takes place every December.

Studenterlunden is a park in the city center of Oslo, Norway.Studenterlunden (English:student's grove) is surrounded by four streets; Karl Johans gate, Stortingsgata, Frederiks gate and Roald Amundsens gate. It is situated west of Eidsvolls plass. Within the park lies the National Theatre. The park also contains one of the entrances to Nationaltheatret Station of the Oslo Metro and Nationaltheatret Station on the Drammen Line. The park dates to 1837 when the area opened adjacent to the new buildings of the University of Oslo. The municipality took over responsibility in 1888. The park includes a music pavilion, beer garden and a variety of statues of famous Norwegians including Henrik Ibsen, Ludvig Holberg and Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson.

Paléet was a monumental single storey townhouse located in the Norwegian capital Oslo that for a long time functioned as a residence for the Norwegian royalty.

Universitetsplassen (University Square) is a square in the city center of Oslo, Norway. The square borders the street Karl Johans gate, and is surrounded by three buildings of the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo.

Deutsches Theater was a German-language theater in Oslo, Norway which existed between 1941 and 1944, during the German occupation of Norway. It was established on 1 January 1941 following an order from Josef Terboven, and the first performance was held on 22 April 1941 in Nationaltheatret. It later moved to new localities, in Stortingsgata 16. Its premiere performance, the operetta The Land of Smiles by Franz Lehár, was held on 7 June the same year. The theatre closed in September 1944 because the resources needed to be channeled elsewhere in the German war machine.
