St James Church, Quedgeley

Quedgeley is a town and former civil parish in the city of Gloucester in Gloucestershire, England. A thin strip of land between the Severn and the Gloucester Ship Canal occupies the west, and the south-eastern part of the town is Kingsway Village, directly to the north of which is Tuffley.The civil parish of Quedgeley was transferred to Gloucester district in 1991 and is the only town within the city. The 2011 census recorded a population of 17,519 for the parish, which has an area of 576 hectares (1,420 acres). Since the 1980s Quedgeley has become increasingly contiguous with Gloucester and Hardwicke which is in the Stroud District.

Severn Vale School is a secondary school with academy status in Quedgeley, Gloucester, England. Its students are aged from 11 to 16. The headmaster is Richard Johnson.In 2011, Ofsted rated the school as "good".

The Little Thatch (also known as The Thatch Inn) is a 14th-century timber-framed building at 141 Bristol Road, Quedgeley, Gloucester. It is now used as a public house and hotel.

Hardwicke is a large village on the A38 road 7 km south of the city of Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England. Despite its proximity to Gloucester, the village comes under Stroud Council. The population of the village taken at the United Kingdom Census 2011 was 3,901.With its name deriving from the Old English heorde wic, "herd [tending] settlement", farming is still the major industry of the parish. Hardwicke was once renowned for its cider and cheese, this may have led to its survival during the battle for Gloucester in the Civil War – neither side wanted to damage a source of much appreciated sustenance. Though there is a typical village green and pond on Green Lane, along with some of the village's oldest cottages, there was never a distinct centre to the village and other parts have a distinct "Victorian" feel. Added to this are the newer developments of the 1970s and 1980s, which have gradually become contiguous with the Quedgeley district of Gloucester to the north. The village had three public houses, 'The Pilot' (on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal), 'The Cross Keys' (now demolished) 'The Morning Star' (now a private house, Morning Star Cottage) next door to 'The Starting Gate' (formerly 'The Morning Star', on Bristol Road (B4008)). The latter has now closed and been refitted and opened as a One Stop in 2015. There is also a branch of The Royal British Legion, a village hall and a shop.In the centre of the village is the Hardwicke Parochial School, a Church of England school that teaches children from the ages of four to eleven.Planning proposals have been put forward to Stroud District Council to build 1200 new dwellings on the South side of the parish.

Kingsway Village is an area adjacent to the town of Quedgeley and suburb of Tuffley in Gloucester, in the ceremonial county of Gloucestershire, England. It is built upon the old RAF Quedgeley site. Kingsway is part of Quedgeley, and is in the City Council Ward of Quedgeley Fieldcourt. As of 2016, under Gloucestershire County Council it is part of the ward of Kingsway.The Kingsway Local Centre is a collection of shops in the middle of Kingsway.It has a very active Residents Association, started by local residents Barry Kirby and Clive Barton in June 2008 and it continues to host public meetings, community fun days and other local events. It also lobbies local agencies and organisations involved in the development of the area, on behalf of residents.Many NATO military families who are now based at HQ Allied Rapid Reaction Corps in Innsworth have moved to the area.

The South West Snooker Academy (or the Capital Venue) is located in Gloucester Business Park. It was purposely built for snooker in July 2010 but is now home to the owner Paul Mount's business MIUS.

Severn FM is an internet radio station in the United Kingdom, which started broadcasting online in June 2011, and officially launched from its studio in Hardwicke on 3 December 2011 with the Severn Bore Breakfast Show, the launch coincided with its first 28-day RSL broadcast on 87.9 FM. The brainchild of Andy Clarke (Managing Director of South Gloucester Media CIC and Ringtone.net Ltd) who used his skills gained as a mobile network consultant, it initially followed the standard community radio model but has evolved along the way under the leadership of Andy and his Board of Directors (Barry Kirby, Caro Kingsnorth and Fr Andrew James) along with the presenters and other volunteers who form part of this growing and evolving South Gloucester "Community Project". Severn FM is a 24/7 Internet Radio Station broadcasting on the internet.

Holmleigh Park High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form with academy status in Tuffley, Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England. The number of pupils currently attending is approximately 1,152. Headteacher Patrick Farmbrough took over on 1 September 2019.

Hunts Grove is a new build suburb, situated near the villages of Hardwicke and Haresfield, on the southern edge of the city of Gloucester. Building began in 2010 and the estate is as yet unfinished. The development was named Hunts Grove after the small woodland, Hunts Grove, on the site.

Gloucester Rowing Club and Gloucester Hartpury is a rowing club on the Gloucester-Purton canal based at Gloucester Boathouse, David Hook Way, Hempsted, Gloucester.

Saint Nicholas Church is a grade I listed building located in Hardwicke, Gloucestershire. It practices Christianity through the Church of England denomination. The church is a stone building of the early English and late perpendicular style. It consists of a chancel, a nave, a south facing porch and a wastern tower housing the six church bells and a clock on the western wall. Inside of the church are several monuments of the Trye family. It has a stained glass window on the east-side which is a memorial to Mr and Mrs Fenwick. There are three windows on the west-side one of which is a memorial to Thomas Barwick Lloyd Baker.

Tuffley Rovers F.C. are a football club based in Tuffley in Gloucester, England. The club is playing in the Hellenic League Premier Division, the 9th level of the English football league system. The club is affiliated to the Gloucestershire County FA. The club operates five Saturday adult sides and a Veterans team, playing Sundays. The Club's reserve team also competes in Hellenic League structure, in Division Two (West), whilst there are three sides playing in the Stroud and District League. In addition to the adult set-up, there is a full youth structure, with teams at all ages from U7s to U18s.
