Mancunian Films was a British film production company first organised in 1934. From 1947 it was based in Rusholme, a suburb of Manchester, and produced a number of comedy films, mostly aimed at audiences in the North of England.

Dickenson Road Studios was a film and television studio in Rusholme, Manchester, in North-West England. It was originally set up in 1947 in a former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel by the film production company Mancunian Films and was acquired by BBC Television in 1954. The studio was used for early editions of the music chart show Top of the Pops from 1964. The studio closed in 1975, when the BBC moved to New Broadcasting House on Oxford Road and the building was demolished.

Xaverian College is a Roman Catholic college in Manchester, England, two miles south of the city centre in Rusholme. Established in 1862, Xaverian College has become one of the most oversubscribed Sixth form college in Greater Manchester, along with Loreto College and Ashton Sixth Form College. It consistently ranks in the top 10 facilities for 16-18 education. Xaverian College is a member of the Association of Colleges. As of 2019, the acceptance rate is 30%. It is near world-renowned educational institutions such as the University of Manchester and the Royal Northern College of Music. As it is in partnership with the University of Manchester, Xaverian houses the foundational courses of Sciences on behalf of UoM and Xaverian College students are also able to access the University of Manchester Library with over 4 million resources able to be used.

Rusholme () is an area of Manchester, England, two miles south of the city centre. The population of the ward at the 2011 census was 13,643. Rusholme is bounded by Chorlton-on-Medlock to the north, Victoria Park and Longsight to the east, Fallowfield to the south and Moss Side to the west. It has a large student population, with several student halls and many students renting terraced houses, and suburban houses towards Victoria Park.

Holy Trinity Platt Church (also known as Holy Trinity Church, Rusholme), is in Platt Fields Park in Rusholme, Manchester, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Hulme, the archdeaconry of Manchester, and the diocese of Manchester. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. It is the second "pot church" designed by Edmund Sharpe, so-called because the main building material used in the construction of the church is terracotta.

Platt Fields Park is a large public park in Fallowfield, Manchester, England which is home to Platt Hall. Fallowfield lies to the south and Wilmslow Road runs along its eastern edge.

Unitarian College Manchester is one of two Unitarian seminaries in England. It is based at Luther King House in the Brighton Grove area of Manchester, and its degrees are validated by the University of Manchester.It has been preparing students for ministry and lay leadership positions in the Unitarian and Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Churches since 1854, when it was established by the Unitarian Home Mission Board. The College has a tradition of providing occasional overseas scholarships for students from kindred churches, particularly from Hungary and Romania (see Unitarian Church of Transylvania). It is now part of the Partnership for Theological Education.It is to be distinguished from the only other Unitarian college in the country, which confusingly shares a similar name. What is now Harris Manchester College, Oxford started off as a dissenting academy based on the famous one in Warrington. "The Manchester Academy" or "Manchester College", named after its birthplace in 1786, kept the name when it moved to York (1804-1840), and back to Manchester (1840-1853). It then moved to the capital as "Manchester New College, London", in University Hall, Gordon Square (i.e. Dr Williams's Library) 1853–1889. Its final move was to Oxford, where it has remained, becoming in 1996 a full constituent college of Oxford University, and adding "Harris" after a donor. It was the move of the original academy to London in 1854 which occasioned the need for a separate establishment in Manchester.

Appleby Lodge is a set of three-storey 1930s blocks of flats with eight entrance doors, opposite Platt Fields Park on Wilmslow Road in Rusholme, Manchester, England. The blocks are in a U-shape around a central garden.

Manchester Central Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre (also known as “Victoria Park Mosque”) is a mosque in Manchester, England. Sometimes referred to as Jamia Mosque, it is situated in the middle of Victoria Park, Manchester close to the Curry Mile. It plays a key role in Manchester's Muslim community. Imam and Khateeb Muhammad Arshad Misbahi and Qari Hafiz Javed Akhtar are leaders of the mosque. Qari Javed also leads taraweeh prayers in Ramadan.The Victoria Park Mosque began as two adjacent houses, one owned by the Syrian Textile Merchants operating in Manchester since the early 1900s, and the other owned by the mainly Indian community living in the nearby areas of Rusholme and Longsight.In 1971, the Jamiat-ul-Muslimeen, Manchester, commenced work on a purpose-built mosque in Victoria Park and the two houses were demolished and the "new look" Mosque took its current form. Several expansions and modifications have taken place over the years.This mosque acts according to the teachings of the Barelwi sect of the Indian Subcontinent.Mohammed Amin, a Retired Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, currently sits on the Mosque committee.

Manchester High School for Girls is an English independent day school for girls and a member of the Girls School Association. It is situated in Fallowfield, Manchester. The head mistress is Helen Jeys who took up the position in September 2020 and is the 11th head mistress in the school's history.

Greygarth Hall is a catered inter-university hall of residence for men, situated in Victoria Park, south Manchester, England. It is one of the halls on the "Rusholme campus" within 3 minutes walk of the famous Curry Mile. Greygarth Hall was founded in 1961, and in 2010-11 was extensively refurbished. The hall is a grade II listed building and was a University of Manchester Licensed Hall from 1965 until the university abolished the 'licensed' state in the early 2000s. Greygarth is a voluntary organization run by residents of Greygarth Hall University Residence, which is promoted by the Greygarth Association, a registered charity working for the advancement of education in the light of Christian principles. Among the various activities that take place at Greygarth, those of a spiritual nature are entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal Prelature of the Catholic Church.
