Sedco Hills is the informal/local name for a southern section of the Temescal Mountains, located in southwestern Riverside County, California. They were named after the town of Sedco Hills, located on their west side and now part of the city of Wildomar. The placename Sedco was introduced by the South Elsinore Development Company, that subdivided and sold the land on the southeast side of the lake.

Canyon Lake is a city and gated community in Riverside County, California, United States, located on Canyon Lake reservoir. Canyon Lake began as a master-planned community developed by the Corona Land Company in 1968. The City of Canyon Lake was incorporated on December 1, 1990. Railroad Canyon Dam was built in 1927, and impounds the San Jacinto River to fill the reservoir, which covers 383 acres (1.55 km2) and has 14.9 miles (24.0 km) of shoreline.

Canyon Lake, sometimes referenced as Railroad Canyon Reservoir, is a reservoir created in 1928 by the construction of the Railroad Canyon Dam in Railroad Canyon or (San Jacinto Canyon) in the Temescal Mountains of southwestern Riverside County, California. The reservoir covers approximately 525 acres (212 ha), has 14.9 miles (24.0 km) of shoreline, and has a storage capacity of 11,586 acre⋅ft (14,291,000 m3). It is owned and operated by the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District. The reservoir is supplied by storm water runoff from the San Jacinto River and Salt Creek. Water from the reservoir feeds the Canyon Lake Water Treatment Plant, which provides approximately 10% of the domestic water supply in the Lake Elsinore and city of Canyon Lake area. Canyon Lake has an average depth of 20 feet (6.1 m). Catch and release fishing is strictly enforced.

Sedco Hills is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 3,078 at the 2000 census. Sedco Hills became part of the City of Wildomar upon its incorporation on July 1, 2008.

Lake Elsinore Diamond, also referred to as Storm Stadium, is a baseball park in Lake Elsinore, California. It is primarily used for baseball and is the home field of the Lake Elsinore Storm minor league baseball team in the California League. The field at Diamond Stadium is named Pete Lehr Field.

Quail Valley is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California, United States. On October 1, 2008, the community along with the neighboring communities of Sun City and Menifee incorporated as the City of Menifee. The population when it was a CDP was 1,639 at the 2000 census.

California Lutheran High School (CLHS) California Lutheran is a private, college-preparatory, Christian high school in Wildomar, California, United States. Students come from the Temecula metro area, Lake Elsinore, and Riverside County. International students enroll from China, South Korea, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Japan, Brazil, and Hong Kong, among others. California Lutheran is an Area Lutheran High School operated by the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). The school is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

The San Jacinto River is a 42-mile-long (68 km) river in Riverside County, California. The river's headwaters are in Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument. The lower portion of the 765-square-mile (1,980 km2) watershed is urban and agricultural land. As a partially endorheic watershed that is contiguous with other Great Basin watersheds, the western side of the San Jacinto Basin is a portion of the Great Basin Divide.

Elsinore Valley is a graben rift valley in western Riverside County, California, a part of the Elsinore Trough. The Elsinore Valley is a graben between the Santa Ana Block to the southwest and the Perris Block on the northeast. It is a complex graben, divided lengthwise into several smaller sections by transverse faults. The Elsinore Valley graben is bounded northeast side by the Glen Ivy longitudinal fault on the north shore of Lake Elsinore at the foot of the Clevelin Hills and similarly on the southeast by the Willard Fault that runs along the foot of the Santa Ana Mountains and parallel to the Elsinore Fault along the southwest shore of Lake Elsinore to Rome Hill and the Willard Fault continues on as the west side of the Temecula Valley graben and Wolf Valley graben. At the south end of Lake Elsinore the Wildomar Fault enters the lake just east of Rome Hill, running southeast on the northwest side of the Temecula Valley. The Elsinore Valley is marked in the south by the rise between the Elsinore and Temecula Valley. In the north the valley bounds are marked by the Santa Ana Mountain ridges moved eastward along the Los Pinos and Lucerne transverse faults, dividing the Elsinore Valley from the Temescal Valley graben.

Wildomar is a city in southwest Riverside County, California, United States. The city was incorporated on July 1, 2008. As of the 2020 census, the population was 36,875. The community has grown very quickly during the early twenty-first century; the population has more than doubled since the 2000 census, when the community was still an unincorporated census-designated place.

Adelaide Peak is an unofficially named mountain peak in the southern part of the Temescal Mountains. It lies at an elevation of 2,279 feet (695 m). It is composed of Cretaceous granitic rocks of the Peninsular Ranges Batholith.Adelaide Peak is drained on its southern slopes by an officially unnamed tributary arroyo of Murrieta Creek, tributary of the Santa Margarita River. It is drained on its northern slopes by an officially unnamed tributary arroyo of Salt Creek, itself a tributary of the San Jacinto River.

Paloma Valley High School is a public four-year high school located in Menifee, California. The school is part of the Perris Union High School District. It opened for its first school year on September 7, 1995. The mascot is the Wildcat. Paloma Valley High School was ranked by Newsweek magazine as the 374th best high school in California. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement coursework and exams. The AP participation rate at Paloma Valley High School is 35 percent. The student body makeup is 51 percent male and 49 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 65 percent.
