Amblie (French pronunciation: [ɑ̃bli] ) is a former commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region of northwestern France. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune Ponts sur Seulles.

Graye-sur-Mer is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region, in northwestern France. It lies 1 km west of Courseulles-sur-Mer, and 18 km east of Bayeux. The commune probably acquired its name from an old landed estate in its vicinity owned by a knight subordinate to William the Conqueror, Anchetil de Greye.

Reviers (French pronunciation: [ʁəvje] ) is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region, in northwestern France. It lies 4 km south of Courseulles-sur-Mer and 15 kn northwest of Caen. It lies at the confluence of the rivers Seulles and Mue. There is bridge west of Reviers, crossing the Seulles, on the principal road (D176) connecting to Colombiers-sur-Seulles, and a bridge in Reviers, crossing the Mue, on the principal road (D35), connecting east to Tailleville.

Colombiers-sur-Seulles (French pronunciation: [kɔlɔ̃bje syʁ sœl] , literally Colombiers on Seulles) is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region in northwestern France.

The canton of Courseulles-sur-Mer is an administrative division of the Calvados department, northwestern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Courseulles-sur-Mer. It consists of the following communes:

Courseulles was a railway station in Courseulles-sur-Mer at the end of the CF Caen-Mer, terminus of trains from Caen and Luc-sur-Mer. The station and extension of the line opened in July 1876 and doubling of the track with the addition of a third rail for 600 mm (1 ft 11+5⁄8 in) gauge trains (Chemins de fer du Calvados) in 1900. The station closed in 1952. The station was situated Place du 6 Juin (current name) next to the Hôtel de Paris and the fishing harbour on the Seulles. the standard gauge railway ended whilst the 600 mm gauge line continued to Bayeux.

Courseulles-sur-Mer (French pronunciation: [kuʁsœl syʁ mɛʁ] , lit. 'Courseulles on Sea'), commonly known as Courseulles, is a commune in the Calvados department, Normandy, northwestern France. Until 1957, the town's name was simply Courseulles. It lies 3 km west of Bernières-sur-Mer and 18 km north of Caen. It is a popular tourist destination not only with locals but also with international visitors who come to tour the Normandy landing beaches. The population of the town can reach 15,000 people in the summer months owing to the numerous summer homes, owned for the most part by Parisians. The town is split in two by the river Seulles.

The Bény-sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery (French: Cimetière militaire canadien de Bény-sur-Mer) is a burial ground containing predominantly Canadian soldiers killed during the early stages of the Battle of Normandy in the Second World War. It is located in, and named after, Bény-sur-Mer, in the Calvados department, near Caen, in lower Normandy. As is typical of war cemeteries in France, the grounds are landscaped and kept. Contained within the cemetery is a cross of sacrifice, a monument typical of memorials designed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Canadian soldiers killed later, in the Battle of Normandy, are buried south-east of Caen, in the Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery, located in Cintheaux.

The Seulles (French pronunciation: [sœl]) is a river in Normandy, France. Its tributaries include the Thue, Mue, and Seulline. It is 71.7 km (44.6 mi) long.

Ver-sur-Mer (French pronunciation: [vɛʁ syʁ mɛʁ] , literally Ver on Sea) is a commune in the Calvados department and Normandy region of north-western France. It is situated at the eastern end of Gold Beach between Arromanches and Courseulles. The town lies 20 km north-west of Caen and 14 km north-east of Bayeux. As well as its beach, the village has a bakery, pony club, sailing club, shrimp fishery, small supermarket, tennis court, and youth hostel. It is also home to the America Gold Beach Museum. Ver-sur-Mer lighthouse, still active today, was built in 1908 on the heights above the beach. During World War II, Canadian troops swiftly seized the lighthouse; however, it was badly damaged and had to be restored after the end of the war. Ver-sur-Mer's church, which was constructed between the 10th and 12th centuries, is dedicated to Saint Martin.
