KOBI (TV)

KSOR (90.1 FM) is a National Public Radio member station licensed to Ashland, Oregon. The station is owned by Southern Oregon University, and is an affiliate of Jefferson Public Radio. It is the flagship of JPR's "Classics & News" service, consisting of news and classical music programming. KSOR was the original station in what would become JPR, signing on in 1969.

It is located approximately 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Glendale on Interstate 5. It is at an elevation of 1,657 feet (505 m). Azalea was named for the abundance of azaleas in the area, including the Azalea occidentalis and the Azaleastrum albiflorum. The name Azalea was used for two different post offices in the upper Cow Creek Valley in Douglas County. A post office named "Starveout" was established in 1888. The name was changed to "Booth" in 1907 and to "Azalea" in 1914. There was a different Azalea post office in the area that ran from 1899 to 1909. Its USPS assigned ZIP Code is 97410. Azalea is the hometown of decathlete and Olympian Tom Pappas.

Sunny Valley is an unincorporated community in Josephine County, Oregon, United States. Sunny Valley lies just east of exit number 71, the Sunny Valley exit, on Interstate 5. Grave Creek, a tributary of the Rogue River, flows through Sunny Valley. Grave Creek Bridge, a covered bridge, carries Sunny Valley Loop Road over the creek.

The Grave Creek Bridge is a covered bridge in Josephine County in the U.S. state of Oregon. It carries Sunny Valley Loop Road over Grave Creek about 15 miles (24 km) north of Grants Pass and within sight of Interstate 5 (I-5). Built in 1920, it originally carried U.S. Route 99, the Pacific Highway. The only remaining covered bridge in Josephine County, it is "Oregon's most viewed covered bridge" because of its location near I-5. The structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It was closed for repairs in the late 1990s and reopened in 2001. The 105-foot (32 m) Howe truss bridge features six Gothic windows on each side as well as rounded portals and a shake roof. The original architects were A. A. Clausen and J. Elmer Nelson.

Wolf Creek is an unincorporated community in Josephine County, Oregon, United States, just off Interstate 5. There are a number of creeks in Oregon named Wolf Creek, after the wolves that were once abundant in the state. Wolf Creek post office was established 1882, while a railroad station called "Almaden" was located in the same place in 1883. The station was renamed to match the post office in 1888, and in 1895 the post office was renamed to "Wolfcreek" until 1951. The pioneer-era "Six Bit House" was an inn located on the Applegate Trail that passed through the Wolf Creek area long before it had a post office. The original Six Bit House was probably built in 1853, near a hairpin turn of the Southern Pacific Railroad. The inn went through several incarnations until the present Wolf Creek Tavern was built in about 1883. The site, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is now run by the Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department as the Wolf Creek Inn State Heritage Site and is the oldest continuously operating hotel in the state.
