Grave Creek, a tributary of the Rogue River, flows through Sunny Valley. Grave Creek Bridge, a covered bridge, carries Sunny Valley Loop Road over the creek.

The Grave Creek Bridge is a covered bridge in Josephine County in the U.S. state of Oregon. It carries Sunny Valley Loop Road over Grave Creek about 15 miles (24 km) north of Grants Pass and within sight of Interstate 5 (I-5). Built in 1920, it originally carried U.S. Route 99, the Pacific Highway. The only remaining covered bridge in Josephine County, it is "Oregon's most viewed covered bridge" because of its location near I-5. The structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It was closed for repairs in the late 1990s and reopened in 2001. The 105-foot (32 m) Howe truss bridge features six Gothic windows on each side as well as rounded portals and a shake roof. The original architects were A. A. Clausen and J. Elmer Nelson.

Wolf Creek is an unincorporated community in Josephine County, Oregon, United States, just off Interstate 5. There are a number of creeks in Oregon named Wolf Creek, after the wolves that were once abundant in the state. Wolf Creek post office was established 1882, while a railroad station called "Almaden" was located in the same place in 1883. The station was renamed to match the post office in 1888, and in 1895 the post office was renamed to "Wolfcreek" until 1951. The pioneer-era "Six Bit House" was an inn located on the Applegate Trail that passed through the Wolf Creek area long before it had a post office. The original Six Bit House was probably built in 1853, near a hairpin turn of the Southern Pacific Railroad. The inn went through several incarnations until the present Wolf Creek Tavern was built in about 1883. The site, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is now run by the Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department as the Wolf Creek Inn State Heritage Site and is the oldest continuously operating hotel in the state.

The community, which is located along the route of the Applegate Trail, is the site of a pioneer cemetery, and at one time it had a school.

KSOR (90.1 FM) is a National Public Radio member station licensed to Ashland, Oregon. The station is owned by Southern Oregon University, and is an affiliate of Jefferson Public Radio. It is the flagship of JPR's "Classics & News" service, consisting of news and classical music programming. KSOR was the original station in what would become JPR, signing on in 1969.

KOBI's transmitter is located atop Kings Mountain, 28 miles (45 km) northwest of Medford, while KOTI's tower sits atop Stukel Mountain southeast of Klamath Falls. KOTI operates as a full-time satellite of KOBI; its existence is only acknowledged in station identifications. Together, the two stations serve 12 mostly rural counties in southern Oregon and northern California.

Leland is an unincorporated community in Josephine County, Oregon, United States. It lies in the Klamath Mountains along Grave Creek, a tributary of the Rogue River.A post office was established in 1855 and McDonough Harkness was its first postmaster. A railroad was also built in the area and the station of Altamont, with a post office founded by Ben Parker that operated from 1884 to 1886. Altamont then became Leland in 1888, and Leland's post office was moved to the station, where it closed in 1943.
