Sokol District (Russian: райо́н Со́кол) is an administrative district (raion), one of the sixteen in Northern Administrative Okrug of the federal city of Moscow, Russia. The area of the district is 3.05 square kilometres (1.18 sq mi) As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 57,133.

Sokol (Russian: Сокол) also known as "artists' settlement" (Russian: посёлок художников)) is the first cooperative residential settlement in Moscow, founded in 1923. It is located in the Northern Administrative Okrug, not far from the later built Sokol metro station. The settlement "Sokol" became one of the embodiments of the garden city concept. Since 1979, the settlement has been under state protection as a monument to urban development of the first years of Soviet power. Since 1989, the settlement "Sokol" has been self-governing. The architects of the settlement "Sokol" implemented the concept of the "garden city", which was popular in the early 20th century. The idea of ​​a settlement that would combine the best features of the city and the village was put forward by the British Ebenezer Howard in 1898. As early as 1903, a project appeared to build a similar garden city on Khodynka Field in Moscow. This project was being developed for some time, but the events of 1914-1917 prevented its implementation. The urban development plans of the 1920s - "New Moscow" by Alexey Shchusev and "Greater Moscow" by Sergei Shestako - also widely used the idea of ​​a "garden city". The outskirts and suburbs of Moscow were supposed to be built up with settlements consisting of low-rise buildings, which were to have their own libraries, clubs, sports and children's playgrounds and kindergartens.

Oktyabrskoye Pole (Russian: Октябрьское Поле) is a station on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. The station was opened on 30 December 1972 as part of the Krasnopresnenskiy radius, and for exactly three years it was the original terminus of the Krasnopresnenskaya Line. The station received its name from a nearby locality which was initially known as Voyennoye Pole (Military Field) and as Oktyabrskoye Pole (October Field, named after October Revolution) since 1922, during the Soviet era. Designed by Nina Alyoshina and L. Zaitseva, the station features a typical pillar-trispan "Novaya Sorokonozhka" design, with polygonal aluminium coated pillars and walls with bright-grey coloured marble decorated with anodized aluminium artworks (artists Bodnieks and Rysin). The floor is coated white marble except for the area around the pillars where it gives way to black granite. The two vestibules are interlinked with subways that allow access to Narodnogo Opolcheniya Street (Russian: улица Народного Ополчения) and Marshala Biryuzova Street (Russian: улица Маршала Бирюзова). The station has a daily passenger flow of 75,910 people.

Russian State Stroganov University of Industry and Applied Arts (Russian: Российский государственный художественно-промышленный университет имени С. Г. Строганова) informally named Stroganovka (Строгановка) is one of the oldest Russian schools for the industrial, monumental and decorative art and design. The University is named after its founder, baron Sergei Grigoriyevich Stroganov.

Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) (MAI; Russian: Московский авиационный институт, МАИ) is one of the major engineering institutes in Moscow, Russia. Since its inception MAI has been spearheading advances in aerospace technology both within Russia and worldwide. The university laid emphasis on laboratory instruction in applied science and engineering, specific to the demands of aerospace industry. During World War II part of the university was evacuated to Almaty, Kazakhstan. Staffs and students continued to work on research and wartime production throughout the war. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia, Lavochkin, Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau, Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, NPO Energomash, Almaz-Antey and others.

Marshala Koneva Street (Russian: у́лица Ма́ршала Ко́нева) is a street in Shchukino District of North-Western Administrative Okrug of the federal city of Moscow, Russia. Raspletina Street is located to the east of it and 1-y Volokolamsky Driveway is to the west.

Zorge (Russian: Зорге) is a station on the Moscow Central Circle of the Moscow Metro. It became the 30th station on the line when it opened in November 2016.Zorge is near the Khodynskoye Pole area in northwestern Moscow. The station's name comes from the name of the street, Ulitsa Zorge, on which the station is situated. Ulitsa Zorge is named for Richard Sorge, a decorated Soviet intelligence officer who served in Nazi Germany and Japan.Zorg, as well as Panfilovskaya station to the north, provides an out-of-station transfer to Oktyabrskoye Pole station of Moscow Metro's Line 7.

Giprosvyaz (Russian: Гипросвязь) is a Russian (formerly Soviet) institute for design of structures for communications. Its current legal status is open joint stock company, OJSC Giprosvyaz (Russian: ОАО Гипросвязь). The name is an abbreviation of the full name of the former Soviet institute: State Institute on Surveying and Design of Communications Structures (Государственный институт по изысканиям и проектированию сооружений связи) The majority of the shares are held by Rostelecom, Russia's largest telecommunications company.

Sokol (Russian: Со́кол, English: Falcon) is a Moscow Metro station on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line. The station opened on 11 September 1938. Designed by K. Yakovlev, V. Polikarpova, and V. Andreev, it features a single row of pillars which flare upward into the arched ceiling, separated by circular coffers. Sokol is finished in a variety of materials, including white and gray Koyelga marble, onyx, granite, and white ceramic tile. The two entrances to the station are located on both sides of Leningradsky Prospekt. An additional exit to the underpass is available from the south end of the platform. Another entrance was cut in 2003 from the nearby Metro Market shopping center. It was the northwestern terminus of the line until 1964 when 3 northern stations were opened. A Zamoskvoretskaya Line depot is located near the station.
