San Justo is a city and the seat of government of La Matanza Partido, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. San Justo is a relatively prosperous city enjoying a variety of commercial and cultural resources. Its strategic location on National Highway 3 and Provincial Highway 4 (the Greater Buenos Aires beltway), make it among the most active, for its size, in the partido. Pedro Bonifacio Palacios, an Argentine poet, was born in San Justo, and one of the main streets of the city is named in his honor under his nickname Almafuerte. The Plaza San Martín is the center of La Matanza and its civic center, where the main institutions of the partido are located within a four-block radius.

Isidro Casanova is a city in La Matanza Partido, Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. It borders the towns of Villa Luzuriaga, San Justo, Ciudad Evita, Rafael Castillo, Laferrere, and Ezeiza.

La Tablada is a city in Argentina. It is located in La Matanza Partido and is part of the Greater Buenos Aires metro area.

In 1989, 40 members of Movimiento Todos por la Patria (MTP) attacked the military barracks in La Tablada, in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. 39 people were killed and 60 injured by the time the Argentine army retook the barracks. The MTP was commanded by former ERP leader Enrique Gorriarán Merlo. It carried out the assault under the alleged pretense of preventing a military coup supposedly planned for the end of January 1989 by the Carapintadas, a group of far-right military officers who opposed the investigations and trials concerning Argentina's last civil-military dictatorship (1976-1983). The Argentine president of the time, Raúl Alfonsín declared that the attack, which carried the ultimate goal of sparking a massive popular uprising, could have led to a civil war. Given a life sentence and imprisoned, as his comrades, in high security quarters, Gorriarán Merlo was eventually freed in 2003. He died on 22 September 2006 while awaiting surgery for an abdominal aortic aneurysm.

The Fragata Presidente Sarmiento is a multi-use stadium in Isidro Casanova, Argentina. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Almirante Brown. The stadium has a capacity of 25,000 spectators and it opened in 1969.

Ramos Mejía is a city in La Matanza Partido, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The town has an area of 11.9 km2 (4.6 sq mi) and a population of 98,547. The city is one of the largest commercial districts in the Western Zone of Greater Buenos Aires.

Lomas del Mirador is a city of the La Matanza Partido in Greater Buenos Aires. Located outside Buenos Aires along the southwest edge of the General Paz Freeway, the city has a population of 51,488 (INDEC, 2001). The land where Lomas del Mirador is located was sold by Ezequiel Ramos Mexía to Pablo Pelluse in 1868. The ranch at the site was known as Terrenos del Mirador ("the lookout property") in reference to the estancia therein, Mirador Santa Lucía. A neighboring property was owned by the descendants of Governor Manuel Dorrego, a key figure in the Argentine Civil Wars of the 19th century, and the city shield would include a red lookout tower in reference to both the town's name and that family's allegiance to the Federalists during the civil wars. These properties were later sold, and in 1909, the first lots were parceled to investors and homesteaders. It would later be home to a diversified base of light industry, notably the former Jabón Federal ("Federal Soap") facility. The Provincial Legislature declared Lomas del Mirador a city in 1984.

Ciudad Evita is a city in the partido of La Matanza in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, located 20 kilometers (13 mi) from Downtown Buenos Aires within the Greater Buenos Aires metro area. Ciudad Evita has a population of 68,650 (2001).

Aldo Bonzi is a town in La Matanza Partido, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is located within the Greater Buenos Aires metro area. The town owes its name to Turin-born businessman Dr. Aldo Bonzi (1852–1935), who arrived in Argentina in 1896. Bonzi and his partner, Maurizio Andreossi of Switzerland, purchased an estancia in Córdoba Province, where they raised Aberdeen Angus cattle as well as grains. They then purchased land west of Buenos Aires from the Carminotti family, reselling a portion to the Buenos Aires Midland Railway in 1908. The arrival of this rail line prompted the establishment of the settlement as Villa del Prado in 1911.The town's master plan was approved by La Matanza County in 1917, and in 1918, Bonzi donated further land for the construction of a parish church and a school. The Church of Our Lady of Grace (Nuestra Señora de las Gracias) was consecrated in 1927.

Haedo is a town located in Morón Partido, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It forms part of the urban conurbation of Greater Buenos Aires.With a surface of 6.11 km², it had 38,068 inhabitants as of 2001, down 13% from the 1991 census. Nonetheless, it is the fourth most populated unit (localidad) in Morón Partido, with a 12% of the total. This city was the place of residence of the Buenos Aires governor Manuel Fresco located between Caseros 200 and Llavallol 1220.

Estación Liniers is a railway station located in the Liniers barrio of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is on the FFCC Sarmiento line, between the stations of Ciudadela and Villa Luro.It was first authorised and named in 1872, taking its name in honour of Santiago Liniers. However, services did not commence until 1887.
