Shirpala shelter

Abshar Dogholu or Dogholu Waterfalls (Persian: آبشار دوقلو, lit. Twin Falls), is the waterfall in the northern part of Tehran, Iran, and is located near Shirpala shelter positioned in the south face of mount Tochal in the Alborz mountains.Abshar Dogholu is situated at the elevation of nearly 2750 meters above sea level and is accessible via a route passing through Sarband, Pas-Ghaleh to Shirpala shelter. It literally means Twin Falls and that is because of its natural shape of flowing over the cliff which divides to two separate branches where falling down. The headwaters of the stream is the melting ice and snow on mount Tochal This waterfall is known as one of the most attractive and exciting waterfalls in Tehran.

Pas Qaleh (Persian: پس‌قلعه, also Romanized as Pas Qal‘eh and Pas Qalleh; also known as Past Qal‘eh) is a village in Rudbar-e Qasran Rural District, Rudbar-e Qasran District, Shemiranat County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 153, in 47 families.

Darband (Persian: دربند, [dæɾˈbænd]), formerly a village close to Tajrish, Shemiran, is a neighborhood inside Tehran's metropolitan limits. It is the beginning of a popular hiking trail into Mount Tochal, which towers over Tehran. A chairlift is also available for those not interested in hiking. The Persian term darband translates to "door of the mountain" (band, a variation of vand and fand, meaning "mountain"). The initial start of the trail at Darband is about 250 metres long and is dotted with a number of small cafes and restaurants. These are quite popular and are busy in the evenings, as locals and tourists alike visit the many hooka lounges along the trail.The Zahir-od-dowleh cemetery, where many Iranian giants of art and culture such as Iraj Mirza, Forough Farrokhzad, Mohammad-Taqi Bahar, Abolhasan Saba, Ruhollah Khaleqi, Rahi Mo'ayyeri and Darvish Khan are buried, is also located in Darband.

The Sa'dabad Complex (Persian: مجموعه سعدآباد, romanized: Majmuʻe-ye Saʻd-âbâd) is a 110 hectare complex built by the Qajar and Pahlavi monarchs, located in Shemiran, Greater Tehran, Iran. Today, the official residence of the President of Iran is located adjacent to the complex. The complex includes more than 180 hectares of natural forest, streets, qanats, galleries, mansions/palaces and museums.

Zahir-od-dowleh Cemetery (Persian: ظهيرالدوله) is located in Darband, close to Tajrish, Shemiran (now a neighbourhood inside Tehran's city limits) and many Iranian artists, poets and musicians are buried there.

Jamaran(Persian: جماران) is a neighbourhood located north of the city of Tehran in Iran. Jamaran was once an independent village; it is now a part of the North Tehran region. It is best known for being the home of Ayatollah Khomeini. Khomeini's family and the Khomeini Foundation, with the approval of Iran's Supreme Leader, provided offices to Mohammed Khatami and the International Institute for Dialogue Among Cultures and Civilizations in one of Khomeini's Jamaran compounds.

Jamaran Hussainiya was the house of Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Jamaran village. On 23 January 1980, Ayatollah Khomeini went to Tehran from Qom to cure a heart ailment. According to doctors recommendation, the weather of Qom did not agree with him. The house of Khomeini was next to the Hussainiya in Jamaran village. The house was linked to a large mosque by a metal platform. Khomeini often walked up a flight of stairs leading from his house to the balcony of the mosque, from which he often spoke.

Imamzadeh Saleh (Persian: امامزاده صالح, romanized: Imāmzādeh Ṣāleh) is a imamzadeh mosque in Iran. The mosque is located at Tajrish Square in Tehran's northern Shemiran district. The mosque entombs the remains of Saleh, a son of the Twelver Shia Imam, Musa al-Kadhim, and is one of the most popular Shia shrines in northern Tehran.

The Time Museum (Persian: تماشاگه زمان) or the Hossein Khodadad House (Persian: خانه حسین خداداد) is a museum in Tehran, Iran. The museum specializes in clocks and other time-measuring devices.

Zafaraniyeh (main street: Shahid Sarlashkar Fallahi) is an affluent neighbourhood in the north of Tehran, Iran. The name's origin lies in the fact that it was the residence of many saffron traders long ago, thus the name Zafaraniyeh (the Persian version of Saffronia). The Islamic Azad University of Tehran, Languages branch is located at the beginning of Zafaraniyeh that teaches English, German, French, Spanish, and other foreign languages. The museum of Sa'dabad Palace is situated at the end of this street, which also contains a culture house. There are plans to build a shopping center in Asef crossroad. The Moghaddas Ardebili Street connects Zafaraniyeh to Velenjak from east and to Valiasr Street and Elahieh from west. Zafaraniyeh is one of Tehran's safest and most heavily guarded neighborhood has due to the many Embassies, residences, head of state, nobles and notables who reside here. There is also a synagogue here. Zaferanieh area has one of, if not the highest household income rates in Tehran. With many wealthy Iranians and non-Iranians residing here, it is regarded as the best and most pricey area of TehranAfter Lavasan and Sahibqraniyeh, Zafaranieh is actually the most expensive property in the capital, but the presence of streets like Sepand in Aqdasiyeh or Farishte in Elahiyeh has caused Zafaranieh to occupy a lower rank. The area has many Billionaires and Millionaires and many of the residents also live abroad. The area consists of nearly all apartment blocks with only a few houses. It is near the longest city road in Asia, Valiasr Street. The Tehran Time museum is located in this neighborhood.
