Summers–Longley Building

The Berteling Building, (also known as the Forbes Building) is a historic commercial building located at 228 West Colfax, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana.

The Cathedral of St. James is an Episcopal cathedral in South Bend, Indiana, United States. It is the seat of the Diocese of Northern Indiana. The cathedral church and the adjoining parish hall were placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Commercial Building is a historic commercial building located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. It was built in 1921–1922, and is a small two-story, red brick building with terra cotta trim. The building has housed a number of small commercial enterprises. It is located between the Berteling Building and I&M Building.: 20 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

South Bend Central High School (originally called South Bend High School) is a historic high school complex located at 303 West Colfax Avenue in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, USA. It was built between 1911 and 1913, and is a two- to three-story, eclectic red brick building with limestone trim. It sits on a raised foundation. Located behind the main building is a two-story former Vocational Building, built about 1918, that was incorporated into the main building in 1928. The school closed as a high school in 1970.: 58–59  The building was later used for middle school classes and adult education programs. The school was known for strong academics, top athletic teams and school spirit. The Central Bears basketball team won two Indiana state championships, four semi-state championships, 12 regional championships, and 28 sectional championships. Famed UCLA basketball coach John Wooden coached basketball and baseball teams for nine years at Central, before entering the United States Navy. The school's basketball team was featured in the 1986 film Hoosiers as the fictional team that lost the 1952 Indiana state championship basketball game to the fictional Hickory High School, which in the film had an enrollment of 64 students. The film was based on the 1954 Milan High School basketball team, which did win the Indiana High School Boys Basketball Tournament championship in 1954. With an enrollment of only 161, Milan was the smallest school ever to win a single-class state basketball title in Indiana, beating a team from the much larger Muncie Central High School in a classic game known as the Milan Miracle. The South Central school building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.In 1995, the building was converted into 106 apartments, each with a unique floor plan containing features preserved from the original building, including a part of the old school gym that still bears the original painted floor lines in one apartment; another has a sunken living room which was a part of the school's indoor pool with depth markings intact. Several other apartments have original classroom chalkboards on the walls. The complex, which is privately owned, is known as Central High Apartments.

The I & M Building, also known as Colfax Place, is a historic building located at 220 W. Colfax in South Bend, Indiana. It is located next to the Commercial Building. The building, which was built in 1929, originally housed the offices of the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company. The Art Deco building was designed by Austin & Shambleau. The seven-story building is faced in marble on its front first story, limestone on the remainder of its front, and brick on its sides. Terra cotta separates the building's front center windows through the fifth story, while stone with terra cotta features separate the side windows. The building is one of the few Art Deco structures in South Bend and the only "pure" example of the style within its downtown business district.: 18 The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. After a brief tenure as a condominium development, the building is now used as office space.

W.R. Hinkle and Co. is a historic automobile showroom located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. It was built in 1922, and is a two-story, rectangular, yellow brick building with terra cotta trim. It is seven bays wide and has a one-story addition. It features narrow terra cotta piers that extend into pointed finials. The building and its owner were featured in the September 23, 1946 edition of Life Magazine.: 31 : 29–35 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Kelley–Fredrickson House and Office Building, also known as the Arthur Fredrickson House and Candy Store, is a historic home and commercial building located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. The house was built in 1892, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, irregular plan, Queen Anne style frame dwelling. Two additions were constructed between 1898 and 1917. It features a polygonal corner tower with a conical roof multiple porches with Stick Style ornamentation, bay and oriel windows, and a variety of decorative siding elements. The office / store was built in 1892, and is a 1+1⁄2-story wood-frame building on a brick foundation.: 2–3  The house was moved to 702 W. Colfax in 1986 and is operated as a bed and breakfast.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The First Presbyterian Church at 101 S. Lafayette in South Bend, Indiana is a former Presbyterian church building of First Presbyterian Church. It was built in 1888 and is a Richardsonian Romanesque style building constructed of fieldstonewith limestone trim. It has a cross-gable roof and features arched entrances, a massive Palladian window of stained glass, and a corner bell tower.: 33 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 as Former First Presbyterian Church.The congregation of First Presbyterian Church is currently located at 333 W. Colfax Ave in downtown South Bend. The current church was completed in 1952.

Morey-Lampert House or Rose-Morey-Lamport House is a historic home located at South Bend, Indiana, United States. It is located in the West Washington Historic District. The home is designated a national historic landmark on the National Register of Historic Places (since 1985), and a local landmark as designated by the Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend and St. Joseph County.It was built in 1895, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, Queen Anne style dwelling. The first story is of sandstone ashlar and the second story is sheathed in wood shingles. It features a wraparound porch and round corner tower topped by a conical roof.: 64 The home was built as the residence of Dr. George P. Morey and his wife, Frances Helen Rose Morey, between 1894 and 1896.

The Liberty Tower is a 25-story skyscraper in downtown South Bend, Indiana. Completed in 1970, its anchor tenant is now an Aloft Hotel.

Morey House is a historic apartment house located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. It was built in 1909, and is a large 2+1⁄2-story, building with a brick first story and stuccoed upper stories in an American Craftsman vernacular style. It has an irregular plan and features two small square porches with balconies on the corners of the front facade.: 22 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Tower Building is a historic skyscraper in South Bend, Indiana, United States. The Tower Building is located at 216 West Washington Street, diagonally from the current St. Joseph County Courthouse, and beside the Old Courthouse (Second St. Joseph County Courthouse). Designed by architects Austin & Shambleau, it was built in 1929. The Tower Building was originally to be built in two halves; but the western half was never built. The eastern half was completed during the Wall Street Crash of 1929.: 60 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and is located in the West Washington Historic District.The building today houses local businesses, such as Hebard & Hebard Architects, Inc., and Cullar & Associates, PC, CPAs.
