La República Argentina (Spanish for 'The Argentine Republic') is a monumental sculpture by Jean-Baptiste Hugues, that was a central part of the Argentine Pavilion at the Universal Exhibition of Paris in 1889.

The Higher School of Mechanics of the Navy (Spanish: Escuela Superior de Mecánica de la Armada, commonly referred to by its acronym ESMA) has gone through three major transformations throughout its history. Originally ESMA served as an educational facility of the Argentine Navy. The original ESMA was a complex located at 8151 Libertador Avenue, in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, in the barrio of Núñez. Additionally, It was the seat of U.T.3.3.2—Unidad de Tareas (Task Unit) 2 of G.T.3.3 [es].However, ESMA from 1976 to 1983 operated as a clandestine detention center for the "subversives" shortly after the coup of the military dictatorship. ESMA was used during the Dirty War as an illegal, secret detention center. The military took the babies born to mothers imprisoned there, suppressed their true identities, and allowed them to be illegally adopted by military families and associates of the regime. Additionally, Unidad de Tareas (Task Unit) was responsible for thousands of instances of forced disappearance, torture, and illegal execution during this time. ESMA was the largest detention center of its kind during the Dirty War. Ultimately, as of today, the original ESMA building has been converted into a memorial museum to show and honor those that were disappeared during Argentina's Dirty War. The National Congress passed a law on 5 August 2004 that converted the ESMA complex into a museum, the Space for Memory and for the Promotion and Defense of Human Rights (Espacio para la Memoria y para la Promoción y Defensa de los Derechos Humanos). Since 2014 plans are also made for the campus to house a second museum, this time, to honor the military personnel killed and wounded during the Falklands War, since several of its alumni and 230 students fought in the conflict. The School, once again legitimate, was renamed Escuela de Suboficiales de la Armada (ESSA; English: Navy Petty-Officers' School) in 2001, and moved in 2005 to the Puerto Belgrano Naval Base, 28 km from the city of Bahía Blanca, and about 600 km southwest of Buenos Aires.

The National Atomic Energy Commission (Spanish: Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica, CNEA) is the Argentine government agency in charge of nuclear energy research and development. The agency was created on May 31, 1950, with the mission of developing and controlling nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in the country. CNEA's facilities include the Bariloche Atomic Centre (in San Carlos de Bariloche), Constituyentes Atomic Centre (in Buenos Aires), and Ezeiza Atomic Centre (in Ezeiza, Buenos Aires Province). CNEA operates research reactors at each of these sites.

Estadio Juan Pasquale is a football stadium located in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is owned and operated by Club Defensores de Belgrano and one of the oldest stadiums in the city, having been opened in 1910. The stadium has a capacity of 9,000 spectators.The stadium was named after Juan Pasquale, founding member, player, and first president of the institution.

The Museo de la Fundación Romulo Raggio is a museum located in Vicente López Partido, Buenos Aires, Argentina.The museum is operated by the Rómulo Raggio Foundation. It is housed in a 5,600-square-metre (60,000 sq ft) 1930 neoclassic palace that has been declared of municipal interest.

Estadio Obras Sanitarias (also known as Arena Obras Sanitarias and Templo del Rock) is an indoor arena that is located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The arena, home venue of club Obras Sanitarias, is mainly used to host basketball games and concerts. It has a capacity of 3,100 people for basketball games, and 4,700 people for concerts.

The National Center of High Performance Athletics (known as Ce.N.A.R.D. for its initials in Spanish: Centro Nacional de Alto Rendimiento Deportivo) is the sports complex where most Argentine sportspeople (especially athletes) who compete internationally are trained. The CeNARD is located at 1050 Crisólogo Larralde Avenue, in the Núñez district of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The area where it is located, facing the Río de la Plata, was the site of the Carl Diem Gymnasium from 1954 until 1960, and the CeNARD was built between 1973 and 1980. The establishment occupies an approximated land area of 11.5 hectares (28 acres).The Center also houses the Argentine Sports Secretariat and a gymnasium with a seating capacity for 2,000 spectators. The smaller Humberto Selvetti Gymnasium hosts amateur boxing competitions, and the center also houses numerous tennis courts, track and field, javelin and field hockey venues, indoor arenas, an olympic-sized swimming pool and a fully equipped medical center. It was the main sports site of the 2006 South American Games and one venue of the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics.

Núñez is a barrio or neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is on the northern edge of the city on the banks of the Rio de la Plata. The barrio of Belgrano is to the southeast; Saavedra and Coghlan are to the west; and Vicente López, in Buenos Aires Province, is to the north. The barrio has an area of 3.9 km² and a population of over 50,000. It is bounded by Avenida Cabildo and Avenida Congreso, Crisólogo Larralde, Zapiola, Udaondo and Cantilo Streets, and Avenida General Paz.

The Josefina C. Bignone Rehabilitation Institute for visually impaired and blind people provides rehabilitation services for sight-impaired people in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The institute is funded by the Municipal Direction of Disability (an agency of the Buenos Aires City Legislature) and by the Ministry of Public Health. It was founded in 2001. The institute aims to promote eye health prevent, detect and treat eye diseases.

The Estadio Ciudad de Vicente López is a stadium located in the neighborhood of Florida in Vicente López Partido of Greater Buenos Aires. Owned and operated by Club Atlético Platense, the stadium was built in 1979, and has a capacity of 28,530 spectators. The stadium is mainly used for football matches.

Estadio Antonio Vespucio Liberti (Spanish pronunciation: [esˈtaðjo monumenˈtal anˈtonjo βesˈpusjo liˈβeɾti]), also referred to as Estadio Mâs Monumental for sponsorship reasons, and popularly known as River Plate Stadium, Monumental de Núñez, or simply El Monumental, is a stadium in the Belgrano, Buenos Aires, Argentina (although popular belief wrongly states that the stadium is in the Núñez district), home of the football club River Plate.It was opened on 26 May 1938 and named after former club president Antonio Vespucio Liberti. It is the largest stadium in Argentina with a capacity of 70,054 and is also home of the Argentina national football team. It was the main venue in the 1951 Pan American Games. It hosted the 1978 FIFA World Cup Final between Argentina and the Netherlands. Additionally, it hosted four finals of the Copa América, most recently in 2011.
