Eaton Park

The Eaton Park Miniature Railway (EPMR) is situated in Eaton Park, in Norwich, Norfolk. Construction began in 1957 and the 365-foot (111 m) loop of elevated 3+1⁄2 in (89 mm) and 5 in (127 mm) gauge track opened in May 1960, with public being carried on Summer Sundays. In the 1970s the line was extended to 955 feet (291 m). In 2004 a second ground level line, of mixed 5 in (127 mm) and 7+1⁄4 in (184 mm) gauge, was constructed, and there is now over 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) of track on the site. In February 2013 work started on a tunnel, designed to also serve as a secure trolley shed.

City Academy Norwich is a secondary school in Norwich, England. It opened in September 2009, replacing Earlham High School. It is located near the University of East Anglia in Norwich. The Academy, an 11-16 school, is a Single Academy trust, and working in support with Bohunt education trust.

Eaton Chalk Pit is a 0.16-hectare (0.40-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest on the southern outskirts of Norwich in Norfolk.These former chalk mines are used by hibernating bats and the site has been monitored over a long period for research into bat ecology. Up to 40 bats use the mines and the main species are Daubenton's, Natterer's and brown long-eared bats.There is no public access to the site.

Eaton is a village and a suburb of the city of Norwich, the county town of Norfolk in the East of England. Anciently the superiority of manor of Eaton, and its lands, was held by the FitzAlan family who in the reign of King Henry 1st granted it to the Priory and convent of Norwich. Their tenant in the second half of the 12th century, John de Grey, was father of Walter de Grey, Archbishop of York. Eaton lies to the southwest of the city centre on the A11 road, the main route to London/Cambridge. It comprises: Eaton Village (around and immediately east of the junction of Bluebell Road, Church Lane and Newmarket Road) Eaton Rise - between the A140 Ipswich Road and Eaton golf club the area west of Eaton Park.The population of the Norwich ward of Eaton was 8,781 at the 2011 Census. The traditional-style painted wooden village sign, at the main road junction, was installed in 1956. It shows an elephant and a barrel, and is a play on words on the village's name, the elephant representing the syllable "E" and the barrel a "tun".The village has two pubs, The Red Lion and The Cellar House. In 2016 the Post Office closed and was incorporated within The Cellar House.St Andrew's Church in Eaton Village is the only thatched church within the City of Norwich, nearby is the more modern meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Much of the area is relatively affluent, containing a large proportion of detached houses and many professional and retired residents. It is popular with employees at the nearby University of East Anglia. Along with neighbouring Cringleford it is often stereotyped as rich or snobbish by Norwich comedy duo The Nimmo Twins.

The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a public research university in Norwich, England. Established in 1963 on a 320-acre (130-hectare) campus west of the city centre, the university has four faculties and 26 schools of study. The annual income of the institution for 2020–21 was £292.1 million, of which £35.2 million was from research grants and contracts, with an expenditure of £290.4 million, and had an undergraduate offer rate of 85.1% in 2021.UEA alumni and faculty include Oscar winning actor, Charlotte Howard. Alumni also include heads of state, government and intergovernmental organisations, as well as three Booker Prize winning authors.

The School of International Development (formerly The School of Development Studies) is a department at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, England. Situated within the Faculty of Social Sciences, the School of International Development has been ranked in the top three British development studies departments.

Norwich South is a constituency in Norfolk represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, since 2015 by Clive Lewis, of the Labour Party.

UEA Broad is an area of open water commonly known as a Broad. It gets its name from the University of East Anglia that it neighbours. The UEA Broad is one of the few Broads produced by gravel extraction rather than peat digging; there is still machinery under the water. It was developed by Atlas Aggregates in conjunction with the university between August 1973 and June 1978. It has an area of 7.8 hectares (19 acres), with sides that slope very steeply down to a maximum depth of 6 metres (20 ft), which constrains it as a wildlife habitat.The southern side borders a Site of Special Scientific Interest where it meets the Yare. The Broad is particularly well known for its bird life with great crested grebes being a common sight; other birds include kingfishers, herons, swans, sedge warblers and cuckoos. While in the past the lake was used for windsurfing by university students, health and safety concerns have put an end to this practice. The Broad is well stocked with carp and commonly used for fishing with platforms positioned at regular intervals round the edge. The length of the lake on the northern side also plays host to several barbeque stands available for use by students and staff of the university. The favoured one lies next to a sandy area of the shoreline often known as “The Beach”, where seagulls and ducks often congregate to be fed.

Norwich Community Hospital is a healthcare facility in Bowthorpe Road, Norwich, Norfolk, England. It is managed by Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust.

The Climatic Research Unit (CRU) is a component of the University of East Anglia and is one of the leading institutions concerned with the study of natural and anthropogenic climate change.With a staff of some thirty research scientists and students, the CRU has contributed to the development of a number of the data sets widely used in climate research, including one of the global temperature records used to monitor the state of the climate system, as well as statistical software packages and climate models.

Earlham Road Cemetery, Norwich also known as Earlham Cemetery or Norwich Cemetery is a cemetery located in Norwich which was officially opened on 6 March 1856 and covers 34 acres (14 ha). The cemetery is divided into two distinct sites by Farrow Road A140 which runs north–south across the site. To the east of the road is the original 19th century cemetery and to the west of the road lies the 20th century addition. Today, it caters for all faiths with separate burial grounds and chapels for Jews and Catholics and a growing one for Muslims together with two military cemeteries. The 19th century cemetery is designed with an informal garden cemetery layout with winding paths while the remainder is a more formal grid type which was favoured by cemetery designer John Claudius Loudon. Much of the original cemetery is a County Wildlife Site and contains grassland and a wide selection of mature trees.

The Gatehouse is a Grade II listed public house in Norwich, England. It was built in 1934 for the Norwich-based Morgans Brewery, and replaced a 19th-century building of the same name. The builders were a local company, R.G. Carter. The architect has not yet been identified.It was Grade II listed in 2015 by Historic England.
