Red River College Polytechnic (RRC Polytech) is a college located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It is the province's largest institute of applied learning and applied research, with over 200 degree, diploma, and certificate programs, and more than 21,000 students annually.The college boasts a 94% graduate employment rate and a 96% graduate satisfaction rate. Between 6,000 and 8,000 students attend daily, as well as students registered in continuing and distance education programs. RRC Polytech hosts approximately 1500 international students each year, from over 60 countries.It has over 200 full-time programs in such areas as biotechnology, construction trades, digital multimedia, business, aerospace, nursing, engineering technology, as well as others.RRC Polytech offers one year certificate, two- and three-year diploma, joint-degree and post-graduate advanced diploma programs. English as an Additional Language programs for international students begin each month. The college also offers three Kids Technology Camps throughout the year to introduce kids to technology. "Girls Exploring Trades & Technologies Camp" is a program for girls 12 to 14, "Technology Exploration Camp" is a summer camp program for girls and boys aged 11 to 13, and "Saturday Kids Kamps" introduces Grade 7 students to Electrical Engineering Technology.

Brookside Cemetery in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is the largest cemetery in western Canada, containing the graves of more than 200,000 people. With the first interment taking place in 1878, it is one of the oldest cemeteries in Winnipeg.Brookside has been used in some films, such as Bride of Chucky (1998).

Wellington was a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was first created by redistribution in 1957, and formally came into being in the provincial election of 1958. The riding was eliminated in 1979, but was re-established in 1989. It was eliminated again for the 2011 election. It is located in the northwestern section of the city of Winnipeg, and is named after Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington. Wellington was bordered on the east by Point Douglas, to the south by Minto and St. James, to the north by Inkster and Burrows, and to the west by the rural riding of Lakeside. The riding's population in 1996 was 20,283. In 1999, the average family income was $32,907, with 43% of the riding's residents listed as low-income (the third highest in the province). The unemployment rate is 16%. Over 45% of the riding's dwellings are rental units, and one family in four is single-parent. Wellington's ethnic base was diverse. Seventeen per cent of its residents were aboriginal, 15% Filipino, 7% Portuguese, 3% Chinese and 2% East Indian. Manufacturing accounted for 27% of Wellington's industry, with a further 16% in services. The riding was held by the Progressive Conservatives from 1958 to 1966. The NDP won the seat in 1966, and held it until the riding's dissolution in 1981. They also won every election since the riding's re-emergence in 1990. It was considered a safe seat for the party. In 2003, veteran MLA Conrad Santos was re-elected for the riding with almost 75% of the vote. Following the 2008 electoral redistribution, the riding was dissolved into St. James, Minto, and the new ridings of Tyndall Park (electoral district) and Logan. This change took effect for the 2011 election.

Tyndall Park is a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was created by redistribution in 2008 from parts of Inkster, Wellington, and St. James electoral districts. The riding's population, according to the 2006 census, was 20,950. Following the 2018 Manitoba electoral redistribution, Tyndall Park is bordered to the east by Burrows, to the south by Notre Dame, to the north by The Maples, and to the west by the rural riding of Lakeside.The riding contains the northwest Winnipeg neighbourhoods of Brooklands, Weston, and namesake Tyndall Park.

Weston is a neighbourhood in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, located south of the Canadian Pacific Railway Weston Yards, west of McPhillips Street, north of Notre Dame Avenue, and east of Keewatin Street. It is a working-class residential and industrial district with some retail establishments along Logan Avenue and on Keewatin Street. Historically, the neighbourhood was nicknamed "CPR Town" due to the large number of railway workers who resided there. As the number of jobs at the Weston Shops declined, correspondingly, so did the neighbourhood. About 80% of the housing stock was constructed before 1960.

Westview Park is a park in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Colloquially known as Garbage Hill, the recreational park's prominent hill was built upon a garbage dump. The park is one of a select number of off-leash dog parks in Winnipeg, as well as a toboggan hill in winter, and commonly used for skilling, snowshoeing, cycling, running, and walking. The 28-acre (0.11 km2) park has been planted with native grass and wildflowers.The area has gone by many different names, including the Saskatchewan Avenue Dump, the Dump, the Big Green Hill, Lil's Hill, and Westview Hill Landfill.The track up the south side of the hill is the steepest in the city, at approximately 22 degrees.

Co-located at the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport, CFB Winnipeg is home to many flight operations support divisions, as well as several training schools. Its primary RCAF lodger unit is 17 Wing, commonly referred to as 17 Wing Winnipeg. One of the facilities at CFB Winnipeg is the Billy Bishop Building which houses the headquarters of 1 Canadian Air Division (1 CAD) as well as the headquarters of Canadian North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Region.
