Oak Academy (formerly Oakmead College of Technology) is a co-educational secondary school located in the northern outskirts of Bournemouth in the English county of Dorset.

Bear Cross is a suburb on the north-western edge of Bournemouth, Dorset, taking its name from the crossroads made by the main road (A348) between Poole and Ringwood and the Wimborne Road/Magna Road (A341).

Hot Radio is a community radio station for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and the surrounding areas offering rhythmic music and local information. The station started life as "The Bay 102.8" and was awarded a community radio licence by Ofcom in 2007 and began broadcasting at 00:01 on 8 November 2008. Community Radio stations in the UK are required to provide a social gain to the community they serve. Hot Radio is one of a growing number of such stations in the UK. Based in Poole, Hot radio provides regular traffic & travel, job information, what's ons and other local information and interviews. The station plays a mix of music from the 90's to today including upbeat dance, funk, soul and RnB during normal daytime output. Hot radio also provides specialist programming evenings and weekends with local specialist DJs experienced within their music genre. The station also provides broadcasts from major local events. At 7:00am on 14 February 2012 "The Bay 102.8" re-branded to "Hot Radio 102.8". The last song played on The Bay 102.8 was "Never Can Say Goodbye" by The Communards. The first song on Hot Radio was "Some Like It Hot" by The Power Station when Paul Stevens announced the new brand to listeners. On 8 November 2013, Hot Radio was awarded a 5-year extension by ofcom to continue providing community radio to Poole & the surrounding area. On 8 November 2018, Hot Radio was awarded another 5-year extension by ofcom to continue providing community radio to Poole & the surrounding area. On 6 February 2018, Hot Radio relaunched with a brand new sound and line up. Hot Radio is also now available on DAB across Dorset. Since late 2020 it is also available on DAB across South Hampshire.

West Howe is a suburb of Bournemouth, Dorset, England, located in the north-west provinces of the borough. Largely consisting of affordable housing owned by the Local Authority, many of the homes have been purchased by long term residents of the area.

Bearwood is a suburb of Poole, Dorset, England. Bearwood is centred on a supermarket and medical and neighbourhood centre in King John Avenue. The area was mainly developed in the 1980s on what had been open heathland. The roads are named after titles of English nobility and people linked to the signing of Magna Carta. This is derived from the fact that the oldest road in the area, a part of the Wimborne to Bournemouth road, is called Magna Road as it passes through the village of Canford Magna en route. There is School and Nursery in the area, Bearwood Primary and Nursery School. There is also a Preschool, Bearwood Pre-School.

Turbary Park is an area of West Howe, Bournemouth in Dorset. Turbary Park is south of Kinson and north of Wallisdown.

Kinson Cemetery is a municipal cemetery in Kinson, a suburb of Bournemouth, England. The cemetery is owned by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council. The cemetery has a section maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission containing 4 burials from the Second World War.

St. Andrew's Church is a Grade II* listed historic parish church in Kinson, Bournemouth, Dorset. The church dates from the 13th century.

Kinson is a former village which has been absorbed by the town of Bournemouth in the county of Dorset in England. The area became part of Bournemouth on 1 April 1931. There were two electoral wards containing the name Kinson (North & South). Their joint population at the 2011 Census was 19,824.The village has a shopping centre and a pub, Gulliver’s Tavern, known for much of the 19th and 20th centuries as 'The Dolphin Inn', after the boat named Dolphin owned by Isaac Gulliver. Kinson nearly became part of Poole in 1931; however, a vigorous campaign by the residents saw the parish added to Bournemouth instead, necessitating an adjustment to the Hampshire/Dorset county boundary, which had separated the two areas. The area centres on Kinson village green which is on the Wimborne Road (at this point the A341) next to Kinson Library (now part of The Kinson Hub). The present green, which features a set of stocks, was once the site of the village school. The 1887 Ordnance Survey map for Kinson shows the school, which is now on a site to the south off Kinson Road. By the time of the 1949 survey maps, a library had taken the place of the old school. It was only when the library moved to a new location nearby that the old school/library site was combined with the village pound to form a new village green. A commemorative stone bench was officially unveiled by Mayor Benwell and his wife. The older village green, where cricket matches were played, has now become a development of bungalows, with the name Wicket Road surviving to mark its older use.

Gulliver’s Tavern, formerly known as the Dolphin Inn, is a historic pub in the Kinson area of Bournemouth, Dorset, England. It is believed to be the oldest pub in the town.

Alderney is a suburb of the town of Poole in Dorset, England with a population of 11,196, increasing to 11,423 at the 2011 Census. Alderney is south of Wallisdown and west of Alder Hills. Alderney is part of the Alderney and Bourne Valley ward for council elections.

Wallisdown is a residential and commercial area situated partly in Bournemouth and partly in Poole, in southern England. The appropriate ward is called Wallisdown and Winton West.
