Plymouth Downtown Historic District is a national historic district located in Plymouth, Marshall County, Indiana, United States. The district encompasses 47 contributing buildings and one contributing structure in the central business district of Plymouth. It developed between about 1870 and 1940, and includes examples of Italianate, Romanesque Revival, and Colonial Revival style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Plymouth Fire Station. Other notable buildings include the Montgomery Ward Building (1929), Metsker Block (c. 1910), Rentschler Building (1910), Early Plymouth Post Office (1884), First National Bank-Plymouth City Hall (1879, 1916), Packard Bank Block (1879), Simons Building (1895), Wheeler Block (c. 1865), Bank Block (c. 1880), Bank Block-Masonic Temple (1901), Plymouth Post Office (1935), and Plymouth Motor Sales (1929).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. The Historic District comprises approximately four blocks of the original plat of Plymouth, laid out in 1834. The town is situated on the high north and west banks of the Yellow River, and along the north-south alignment of the Michigan Road. The district consists of generally continuous facade lines of masonry constructed commercial structures built from about 1870 to 1960. With few exceptions, the buildings retain a high level of integrity to their original appearance.

Marshall County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located at Plymouth, Marshall County, Indiana. It was built between 1870 and 1872, and is a two-story, brick and limestone building in a combination of Italianate and Renaissance Revival styles. It is rectangular in form and has a hipped roof with central bell tower.: 2 It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is located in the Plymouth Northside Historic District.

Notable contributing resources include the John McFarlin, Jr., House (c. 1860), Trinity United Methodist Church (1926), Bible Baptist Church (1894), Felke Florist and Greenhouse (1922), John Soice Residence (c. 1875), Westervelt-Marble Residence (c. 1865, 1899), and Edwards-Gambel Residence (1856).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

The district encompasses 141 contributing buildings, 2 contributing sites, 6 contributing structures, and 3 contributing objects in a predominantly residential section of Plymouth. It developed between about 1870 and 1940, and includes examples of Italianate, Gothic Revival, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, Neoclassical, and Renaissance Revival style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Marshall County Courthouse. Other notable contributing resources include Magnetic Park (c. 1885, 1937), First United Methodist Church (1914-1915), J.C. Capron House (1900), Samuel Schlosser House (1910-1911), Clay Metsker House (1917-1918), Plymouth Church of the Brethren (1950-1951), Logan-Stanley Fountain (c. 1902), Stevens House (1895), and First Presbyterian Church (1896-1897).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

East LaPorte Street Footbridge is a historic footbridge located at Plymouth, Marshall County, Indiana. It was built in 1898 by the Rochester Bridge Company and spans the Yellow River. It is a two-span, Kingpost truss bridge measuring 100 feet long and 6 feet wide. The bridge connects a residential area of Plymouth to River Park Square and downtown.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

Heminger Travel Lodge is a historic hotel located on the Lincoln Highway at Plymouth, Marshall County, Indiana. It was built in 1937, and is a two-story, Colonial Revival style brown brick building with a red clay tile gable roof. Attached to the building is a one-story "sun porch" with a hipped roof.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Hoham-Klinghammer-Weckerle House and Brewery Site, located in Plymouth, Marshall County, Indiana is connected to three German families, all related through marriage, that settled in the area in 1844–1865. The Hoham, Klinghammer, and Weckerle families established and operated the Plymouth Brewery from 1857 to 1888. Among several buildings that existed at brewery site was a Stick/Queen Anne style house, now the only remaining building at the site.The exact date and builder of the house is not known, construction started prior to 1882, probably by the Klinghammers. The largely brick house has two full floors and a half story top floor. A partially exposed full basement adds to the overall height of the house. Two brick vaults are buried fifty feet west of the house and were a part of the original brewery building.

It is owned by the Plymouth Board of Aviation of Commissioners. This airport is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.

Marshall County Infirmary, also known as the Shady Rest Home, is a historic poor farm complex located in Center Township, Marshall County, Indiana. The complex includes three buildings constructed between 1893 and 1920. The Superintendent's Quarters was built in 1895, and is a two-story, Romanesque Revival style brick structure over a full basement. It has a two-story, rear wing that may have been constructed as early as 1893. The house features a corner tower with conical roof and round arched windows. Also on the property are the contributing well house (c. 1920) and large four portal basement barn (1893).: 5, 7, 9 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
