The National Gallery of Denmark (Danish: Statens Museum for Kunst, also known as "SMK", literally State Museum for Art) is the Danish national gallery, located in the centre of Copenhagen.The museum collects, registers, maintains, researches and handles Danish and foreign art dating from the 14th century to the present day.

The Hirschsprung Collection (Danish: Den Hirschsprungske Samling) is an art museum located on Stockholmsgade in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located in a parkland setting in Østre Anlæg, near the Danish National Gallery, and houses a large collection of Danish art from the 19th and early 20th century. The emphasis is on the Danish Golden Age, from 1800 to 1850, but also the Skagen Painters and other representatives of the Modern Breakthrough are well represented. The museum is built around the personal art collection of Heinrich Hirschsprung, a tobacco manufacturer and patron of the arts who founded his art collection in 1865. Almost four decades later, in 1902, he donated it to the Danish state. It is displayed in a purpose-built Neoclassical museum building designed by Hermann Baagøe Storck and completed in 1911.

DSB, an abbreviation of Danske Statsbaner (pronounced [ˈtænskə ˈstɛˀtsˌpɛːnɐ], Danish State Railways), is the largest Danish train operating company, and the largest in Scandinavia. While DSB is responsible for passenger train operation on most of the Danish railways, goods transport and railway maintenance are outside its scope. DSB runs a commuter rail system, called the S-train, in the area around the Danish capital, Copenhagen, that connects the different areas and suburbs in the greater metropolitan area. Between 2010 and 2017, DSB operated trains in Sweden. DSB was founded in 1885, when the state-owned companies De jysk-fynske Statsbaner and De sjællandske Statsbaner merged. DSB was established in 1885, after the state in 1867 under the name De Jutland-Fynske Statsbaner took over the private company Det Danske Jernbanedriftselskab and in 1880 they also took over the privately owned Zealand Railway Company.

Queen Louise's Children's Hospital (Danish: Dronning Louises Børnehospital) was a hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark from 1879 to 1971. It was named for and supported by Louise of Hesse-Kassel.

Stockholmsgade (literally "Stockholm Street") is a mainly residential street in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It follows the northwestern margin of Østre Anlæg, linking Sølvtorvet in the southwest with Oslo Plads at Østerport station in the northeast. The Hirschsprung Collection, an art museum, is located on the street. The Hirschsprung Collection's building (No. 20) is the only building situated on the park side of the street (even numbers). It was completed to a Neoclassical design by Hermann Baagøe Storck to house the personal art collection of Heinrich Hirschsprung.

Sølvgade (lit. "Silver Street") is a street in central Copenhagen, Denmark, extending north-west from Borgergade to The Lakes where Fredens Bro connects it to Fredensgade. The section from Kronprinsessegade to Øster Voldgade follows the walled north-eastern margin of Rosenborg Castle Garden and the next section, from Øster Voldgade to the intersection with Farimagsgade, named Sølvtorvet (English: "Silver Square") although it is little more than a busy street junction, separates Copenhagen Botanical Garden from Østre Anlæg.

The Geological Museum was a geology museum on Øster Voldgade, at the northeast corner of the University of Copenhagen Botanical Garden, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Like the botanical garden, the museum was part of the wider array of centers belonging to the Natural History Museum of Denmark. The museum was officially renamed Natural History Museum of Denmark in 2020. The building houses special exhibits but also facilitates research and study as part of the University of Copenhagen, with some of the museum staff actively partaking in research worldwide—for instance, in Greenland.

The Holmblad House (Danish: Jacob Holnblads Gård), now also known as Sølvgården, is a former 18th-century dyeing facility at Sølvgade 38 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Its founder, Jacob Holmblad, also had its home in the complex. The building was listed by the Danish Heritage Agency in the Danish national registry of protected buildings in 1918.

Øster Voldgade (lit. "East Rampart Street"), together with Vester Voldgade and Nørre Voldgade, forms a succession of large streets which arches around the central and oldest part of the Zealand side of Copenhagen, Denmark. It runs north-east from Gothersgade at Nørreport Station to Georg Brandes Plads, between the Copenhagen Botanical Gardens and Rosenborg Castle Gardens, and continues straight to a large junction at the southern end of Oslo Plads, near Østerport Station, where it turns into Folke Bernadotte Allé.

Krebs School (Danish: Krebs' Skole) is a private school located in Stockholmsgade in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was founded on 15 August 1872 by Conrad Peter Julius Krebs. Several members of the Danish Royal Family have attended the school, along with other members of the Danish upper class and nobility. As of 2023, the school's headmaster is Mikael Fink-Jensen.

Gefion Gymnasium is an upper secondary school (Danish: gymnasium) in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located on Øster Voldgade in the city centre.

The Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (Danish: Danmarks og Grønlands Geologiske Undersøgelse, GEUS) is the independent sector research institute under the Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy. GEUS is an advisory, research and survey institute in hydrogeology, geophysics, geochemistry, stratigraphy, glaciology, ore geology, marine geology, mineralogy, climatology, environmental history, air photo interpretation, geothermal energy fields concerning Denmark and Greenland. GEUS works in close corporation with Geologisk Institut and Geologisk Museum, both part of University of Copenhagen. It publishes a service paper called Greenland Hydrocarbon Exploration Information Service (GHEXIS) and a newsletter called Greenland Mineral Exploration Newsletter (MINEX) in co-operation with the Bureau of Minerals and Petroleum (Råstofdirektoratet), a secretariat for the Joint Committee on Mineral Resources under Greenland's home rule.
