Hinna Church

Hinna is a borough of the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. The borough includes the southernmost part of the city, bordering the city of Sandnes. The borough of Hillevåg lies to the north, the municipality of Sola lies to the west, and the Gandsfjorden lies to the east. Hillevåg was a part of the old municipality of Hetland until 1965. The borough has residential areas as well as some industrial areas, especially relating to the oil industry. The 15-square-kilometre (3,700-acre) borough has a population (2016) of 22,581. This gives the borough a population density of 1,505 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,900/sq mi).

Jåtten or Jåttå is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough Hinna, just north of Godeset and Gausel. The neighborhood has a population of 13,760, distributed over an area of 12.58 square kilometres (4.86 sq mi). The Jåttåknuten hill lies at the southern part of the neighborhood. Jåttå Upper Secondary School is located here too.

Viking Stadion (currently named SR-Bank Arena for sponsorship purposes), is a football stadium in Stavanger, Norway. It was inaugurated in May 2004 and cost 160 million NOK (€20 million) to build. 50 million NOK, plus the lot it was built on, was a gift from the municipality. It replaced Stavanger Stadion as the home stadium of Viking FK. In 2006, the stadium was expanded beyond the original capacity of 15,300 to 16,600. The capacity was later reduced to 16,300 in 2012 to make room for two giant screens. From 2018 the capacity is again reduced to 15,900. Originally an all-seater stadium, parts of the west stand have been converted to safe standing in recent years. The record attendance is 16,600 from 24 June 2007, when Viking met Brann.Jåttåvågen railway station, which serves the Jæren Commuter Rail, is located right outside the stadium. The venue has hosted the Norway national under-21 football team on four occasions, playing 1–0 against Spain on 31 May 2006, 1–1 against Bosnia and Herzegovina on 6 September 2006, 2–2 against Slovakia on 10 June 2009 and 2–2 against Belgium on 10 November 2011.In a 2012 survey carried out by the Norwegian Players' Association among away-team captains, Viking Stadion was found to be the league's fourth-best stadium, with a score of 4.27 on a scale from one to five.In 2015, it was decided to replace the natural grass surface of the stadium with artificial grass. The new surface was installed in March 2018.In April 2018, the stadium was renamed SR-Bank Arena following a sponsorship deal with SpareBank 1 SR-Bank.The stadium can also host large music concerts and events. Among the artists who have played at Viking Stadion are Bryan Adams, R.E.M., Roger Waters, Bob Dylan, Sissel Kyrkjebø & Plácido Domingo, The Eagles, Kiss, Robbie Williams, Ylvis and Bon Jovi.

Vaulen is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located along the Gandsfjorden in the boroughs of Hillevåg and Hinna. The neighborhood has a population of 6,039 which is distributed over an area of 3.4 square kilometres (840 acres).

Jåttå Upper Secondary School (Norwegian: Jåttå videregående skole) is an upper secondary school in Jåtten, Stavanger, Norway, with 1000 pupils. It was opened for the 2007-08 semester. It is the only school in Rogaland with a "built-in" train station; the train station Jåttåvågen is located just outside the schoolyard of the school.

Jåttå Station (Norwegian: Jåttå holdeplass) was a railway station located at Jåttå in Stavanger municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The station was served by the Jæren Commuter Rail between Stavanger and Egersund. The station was located 6.5 kilometres (4.0 mi) south of the centre of the city of Stavanger and was used as an extra stop for trains when there were football games at Viking Stadion.

Sørmarka Arena is an indoor multi-purpose ice rink located in Stavanger, Norway. It consists of a 400-meter speed skating rink, an ice hockey rink, six curling rinks, and a "penguin rink" for newbeginners. There is also a 17-meter (56 ft) tall climbing wall. It can seat 4,000 spectators.The venue was not designed to host concerts, but on 6 June 2010 a Whitney Houston concert was held with 13,000 spectators. It was not possible to place the stage on the short end, and instead it had to be placed on the long end, making seating difficult.

The Norwegian Joint Headquarters, NJHQ (Norwegian: Forsvarets operative hovedkvarter, FOH) is the Norwegian Armed Forces operational commando-center. It is located at Reitan outside Bodø, where during the Cold War NATO's Allied Command North Norway was based. The current organization was created on 1 August 2009, replacing a former joint commando center in Stavanger, which merged with the Northern Norway Command. It is led by chief-of-command, Lieutenant general, Yngve Odlo. His predecessor was Rune Jakobsen. The Norwegian Armed Forces states that a total number of 500 people are somehow connected to the Commando Central. The Commando Central cooperates with Forsvarets Logistikkorganisasjon (Flo) and Cyberforsvaret (CYFOR) so that the Operational Headquarters may work as planned.

The Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) is a NATO establishment headquartered in Stavanger, Norway. It was established at Jåttå on 23 October 2003 as a subordinate command of Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (HQ SACT). The purpose of this was to have a command with responsibility for training and exercise of the NATO headquarters. The old Joint Headquarters North (JHQ NORTH) was abolished and command transferred to the Allied Command Transformation (ACT) in Norfolk, Virginia, US.

Allied Forces South Norway (SONOR) was a NATO command tasked with the defense of Southern Norway. SONOR's area of responsibility included all of Norway with the adjacent sea territory excluding the three northernmost counties of Norway, which were under Allied Forces North Norway.

Hillevåg Church (Norwegian: Hillevåg kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the southern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Hillevåg in the central part of the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Hillevåg parish which is part of the Ytre Stavanger prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, concrete church was built in a rectangular design in 1961 using designs by the architects Valdemar Hansteen and Erik Thesen. The church seats about 370 people.

Gausel Church (Norwegian: Gausel kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the southern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the Gausel neighborhood in the borough of Hinna in the southern part of the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Gausel parish which is part of the Ytre Stavanger prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The red brick church was built in a fan-shaped design in 1996 using designs by city architect (Byarkitekten). The church seats about 450 people.
