Hougang Single Member Constituency

Hougang, or Aukang, is a planning area and mature residential town located in the North-East Region of Singapore. The town is the most populous in the region, being home to 247,528 residents as of 2018. Hougang planning area is bordered by Sengkang to the north, Geylang and Serangoon to the south, Bedok to the southeast, Toa Payoh to the southwest, Paya Lebar to the east, Ang Mo Kio to the west and Bishan to the southwest.

Hougang Central Bus Interchange is a bus interchange serving the town of Hougang. It is located directly above Hougang MRT station. This bus interchange was planned to be an integrated transport hub. By 2030, Hougang Central Bus Interchange would be majorly renovated to accommodate the Cross Island line section, and would become an Integrated Transport Hub in 2030.

Hougang Mall (Chinese: 后港购物坊), previously known as NTUC Hougang Mall, is a suburban shopping mall in Hougang, Singapore. It is near Hougang Central Bus Interchange, as well as Hougang MRT station.In 2006, the mall underwent renovation; it transformed part of the second level, formerly occupied by NTUC FairPrice, into a food cluster. The mall previously had renovations done on the fifth level.Before renovations, a food court stood on the fifth floor. Now, a playground (on the roof which offers a good view of the surrounding HDB flats), and some other shops are on the fifth floor while the food court was shifted to level 4 to the area which previously housed the NTUC Club. In October 2020, Frasers Property acquired Hougang Mall, which was previously under AsiaMalls Management Limited, under its property.

Cheng San Public Library is a public library in Hougang, located inside Hougang Mall. It is the third library of the National Library Board to be located in a mall and the first to acquire and display works by local artists. It is near Hougang MRT station and Hougang Central Bus Interchange.

Hougang MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North East line (NEL) in the Hougang planning area in Singapore. Located within the Hougang Town Centre, the station is directly connected to Hougang Central Bus Interchange and sits underneath that bus interchange. Opened on 20 June 2003 as part of the NEL, this station will become an interchange station along the Cross Island line (CRL) when stage 1 opens in 2030.

Holy Innocents' High School (HIHS) (Simplified Chinese:圣婴中学, Traditional Chinese: 聖嬰中學, pinyin: Shèngyīng Zhōngxué) is a Catholic school in Singapore. Founded in 1892, the school offers secondary school education leading up to a Singapore-Cambridge GCE Ordinary Level examination, in both the Express and Normal (Academic) streams, as well as Singapore-Cambridge GCE Normal Level in the Normal (Academic) and Normal (Technical) streams.

The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Chinese: 圣母圣诞堂) is a Roman Catholic church in Singapore. It is located in Hougang, the North-East Region of Singapore, and is within the Serangoon District. It is well known as the oldest Catholic church for the Teochew community in Serangoon.

The En-Naeem Mosque (Malay: Masjid En-Naeem) is a mosque located at the junction of Hougang Avenue 3 and Tampines Road, in Hougang, Singapore. It is built under the Mosque Building Fund (MBF) by MUIS Mosque Management.

Buangkok MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North East line (NEL) in Sengkang, Singapore. Located underneath Sengkang Central near the junction with Compassvale Bow, Buangkok station is one of the two MRT stations located within the Sengkang planning area and serves the town of Buangkok. There are plans to build an "integrated development" next to Buangkok station, which will include residential units, commercial spaces and a future bus interchange. The residential units are now known as Sengkang Grand Residences, the commercial spaces are now known as Sengkang Grand Mall while the future bus interchange is now known as Buangkok Bus Interchange respectively. Buangkok station is near housing estates and Palm View Primary School.
