40th Ave & Airport Blvd–Gateway Park station (sometimes stylized as 40th Ave & Airport Blvd•Gateway Park) is a Regional Transportation District (RTD) commuter rail station on the A Line in Aurora, Colorado. The station is the fifth eastbound station from Union Station in Downtown Denver and second westbound from Denver International Airport. It is about 23 minutes from Union Station and 14 minutes from Denver Airport. 40th Ave & Airport Blvd–Gateway Park station is also served by several bus routes and was integrated into a preexisting 1,079-space park-and-ride lot at the station site.The station opened on April 22, 2016, along with the rest of the A Line.

Montbello High School was a high school located in Denver, Colorado, United States in the Denver Public Schools system. It was located in the Montbello neighborhood on the northeast side of Denver. The school opened in fall 1980, the first graduating class being the class of 1981. The school's final class graduated in 2014. In 2020 the Denver Public Schools Board of Education committed to re-opening Montbello High School at its current campus, as well as creating a new feeder middle school. Both schools will open in the 2022–2023 school year. The Board formalized the next steps for unifying the existing school communities to reimagine them as a large comprehensive Montbello High School.

Montbello is a neighborhood of Denver, Colorado, located in the far northeast of the city. It is bounded on its north side by E 56th Avenue and the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, on its south side by the I-70/I-225 junction, by Peoria Street on its western confine and Chambers Road on its east. It is the most populous neighborhood in all of Denver with over 30,000 inhabitants and around 9,000 housing units but holds a lower density than most, at approximately 6,000 people per square mile.

Colorado's 6th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Colorado. Located in central Colorado, the district encompasses much of the eastern part of the Denver metropolitan area, including all of Aurora, as well as portions of the southern (Centennial and Littleton) and northern metro area (Brighton and Henderson). The district is currently represented by Democrat Jason Crow. The district was created in 1983 as a result of the redistricting cycle after the 1980 census, and was originally a classic suburban Republican bastion; this was once the safest seat for Colorado Republicans outside of Colorado Springs. However, changing demographics in the Front Range, especially in Arapahoe County which went from a traditional conservative suburban/exurban stronghold to a densely populated, ethnically and culturally diverse Democratic-leaning inner suburban county, has made suburban Denver much friendlier to Democrats. The 2010 redistricting shifted the more rural, GOP-dominated sections of the district to the nearby 4th and added heavily populated and Democratic parts of Aurora, turning the 6th district into a Democratic-leaning swing district. However, Republicans are still competitive downballot, and the Democratic strength was limited to western Arapahoe County for much of its history, as the components of Douglas County and Adams County in the 6th were still Republican leaning: this changed in 2020, as Joe Biden and Representative Jason Crow won all county areas in the district. After 2020 redistricting, the 6th became a purely inner suburban district anchored in western Arapahoe County, although small parts of Jefferson, Douglas, and Adams Counties were included as well to completely take in the cities of Littleton and Aurora.

The Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge is a 15,988-acre (24.981 sq mi) National Wildlife Refuge located adjacent to Denver and Commerce City, Colorado, in the United States. It is approximately 8 miles (13 km) northeast of downtown Denver. The refuge is on the grounds of the former Rocky Mountain Arsenal, a United States Army chemical weapons manufacturing facility. The site was designated a national wildlife refuge in 1992 by the United States Congress, and underwent a costly environmental cleanup in order to remove pollutants. The refuge is managed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. More than 330 species of wildlife inhabit the refuge, including raptors, deer, raccoons, coyotes, white pelicans, black-footed ferrets, black-tailed prairie dogs, and bison.

Arrivo Corporation was a startup company in Los Angeles, California, that developed maglev rail. Arrivo initially attempted to commercialize a hyperloop, but abandoned the effort in November 2017 in favor of established transit technologies. In November 2017, Arrivo proposed a plan for a 200 mph (322 km/h) maglev system in Colorado that would transport automobiles to and from Denver International Airport.On December 14, 2018, Arrivo reportedly shut down due to being unable to secure Series A funding.

Dick's Sporting Goods Park, a soccer stadium in Commerce City, hosts the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer.

Fitzsimons station is a Regional Transportation District (RTD) light rail station on the R Line in Aurora, Colorado. The station is located along the north side of Fitzsimons Parkway along Sand Creek Park and serves the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus via a free shuttle bus.The station opened on February 24, 2017, along with the rest of the R Line. It was originally planned to be located further south on Montview Boulevard, closer to the campus, but was moved in 2013 to prevent vibrations from affecting research equipment.

Peoria station, also known as Peoria/Smith station, is a Regional Transportation District (RTD) station in Aurora, Colorado. The station is served by the A Line, a commuter rail line from Union Station in Downtown Denver to Denver International Airport, and the R Line, a light rail line crossing through Aurora and South to Lone Tree. A Line travel times from the station to Downtown Denver and Denver International Airport are about 17 and 20 minutes, respectively. Peoria station is the northern terminus of the R Line with a travel time of 58 minutes to the southern terminus at Lincoln station. Peoria and Union Station are the two locations where RTD commuter rail and light rail meet, and Peoria is the only station facilitating a cross-platform transfer between the two systems. Peoria station is also served by several TheRide bus routes and has a 550-space park-and-ride lot.The A Line began service at Peoria station on April 22, 2016. The R Line began service on February 24, 2017.
