Mwnt (Welsh: [ˈmʊnt]) is an ancient parish in Ceredigion, Wales, 4.5 miles (7.2 km) north of Cardigan. The Wales Coast Path passes through this very small settlement. It gets its name from the prominent steep conical hill (Foel y Mwnt), a landmark from much of Cardigan Bay, that rises above the beach to a height of 76 m (249 ft), and was formerly anglicised as Mount.

Y Ferwig (sometimes spelled Verwig) is a small village and community about 2 to 3 miles from Cardigan, Wales.

Banc y Mwldan is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Ceredigion, west Wales.

Penparc (also known as Penyparc) is a village in Ceredigion, Wales, on the A487 road 3 miles (4.8 km) northeast of Cardigan. The surrounding land is principally used for cattle grazing although the significant glacial sand deposits are also commercially used as a source of sand and gravel.To the east of the village, near a prominent conical hill, is the site of the Battle of Crug Mawr, fought in 1136.

The Battle of Crug Mawr (Welsh: Brwydr Crug Mawr), sometimes referred to as the Battle of Cardigan, took place in September or October 1136, as part of a struggle between the Welsh and Normans for control of Ceredigion, West Wales.The battle was fought near Penparc, northeast of Cardigan, probably on the hill now known as Banc-y-Warren; it resulted in a rout of the Norman forces, setting back their expansion in West Wales for some years.

Cardigan Island (Welsh: Ynys Aberteifi) is an uninhabited island north of Cardigan, Ceredigion, south-west Wales. It reaches a height of 52 metres (171 ft) a.s.l., and 38 acres (15 ha) in area. Lying in the estuary of the River Teifi, it is known for having a small colony of grey seals. It is within 200 metres (220 yd) of the Welsh coastline near Gwbert. It is owned and managed by the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales. The island was once the home of puffins and Manx shearwater. A guide book in the 1890s referred to the puffins as “Welsh parrots”. In 1924 Welsh writer and naturalist Ronald Lockley wrote that there were probably 25 to 30 pairs on the island. However, in 1934 the liner Herefordshire, being towed to the breakers' yard, ran aground on the island in a storm, and rats made it ashore. Over a period of years they ate the eggs and chicks of nesting seabirds, and wiped out the island’s population of puffin and Manx shearwater, which have never returned. The wreck has attracted a wide variety of marine life and is a diving attraction. It was 45 years before the rat population was exterminated.Today, birds such as guillemots, razorbills, cormorants, shags, fulmars and a variety of sea-gulls all nest on the island. Bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic grey seals are also often seen in the sea around the island.

Caemorgan is a road (Heol) in Ceredigion, Wales. It means Morgans Field and is the name of the road outside Cardigan off the A487. This road has a Mansion named Caemorgan Mansion to which Caemorgan Cottage is attached.

The Ceibwr Bay Fault is a WSW-ENE trending fault zone that cuts Ordovician rocks of the Ashgill Nantmel Mudstones Formation and the Caradoc Dinas Island Formation. The fault is exposed on the south side of Cardigan Bay in Wales and forms part of the Fishguard-Cardigan Fault Zone. It extends from the coast at Ceibwr Bay at its western end to the coast at Aberporth at its eastern end. The fault zone is thought to have been active as a normal fault throughout the deposition of the Ordovician sequence.

Our Lady of Cardigan (Welsh: Mair o Aberteifi), also known as Our Lady of the Taper, the Catholic national shrine of Wales, is a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary created by Sr Concordia Scott and located in a chapel in Cardigan, Ceredigion, Wales.

Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi, translated as Cardigan Secondary School is a bilingual secondary school in Cardigan, Ceredigion, Wales. It offers secondary education from ages 11 to 18, incorporating GCSEs and A-Levels in its sixth form. The motto is Egni a Lwydd (Energy Succeeds). The school is categorized as a 'Bilingual (Type C)' school by the Welsh Government, meaning that 50 - 79% of subjects, excluding Welsh and English, are taught through the medium of Welsh but are also taught through the medium of English. According to the latest Estyn report in 2022, 21.3% of pupils spoke Welsh at home.There have been several allegations of bullying against the headteacher, Mrs Nicola James with staff going on strike both in 2018 and 2019. Following an investigation, no evidence of bullying against staff was found.The school appeared on S4C's Hip neu Sgip?: Yn erbyn y cloc in 2011, as part of a garden makeover item which took place at the school in September 2010.The school is referenced in the 2020 fiction book 'A Deadly Education' by Naomi Novik, (p.114) as attended by the protagonist Galadriel Higgins.

Gwbert (Welsh pronunciation: [ˈɡubɛrt]), also known as Gwbert-on-Sea, is a cliff-top coastal village in Y Ferwig community, Ceredigion, Wales. It lies at the most southerly coastal point of Ceredigion, on the eastern shore of the Teifi estuary, from where there are views westwards over Cardigan Bay, and south-westwards to Poppit Sands and the headland of Cemaes Head, in neighbouring Pembrokeshire. It is reached by the B4548 road from the town of Cardigan (Welsh: Aberteifi), 2.8 miles (4.5 km) away.
