Allington is a small settlement in the Borough of Eastleigh, Hampshire, England, located at the northern extremity of the civil parish of West End.

Horton Heath is a semi-rural village which forms part of the civil parish of Fair Oak and Horton Heath in the borough of Eastleigh in Hampshire, England. The village is about three miles southeast of Eastleigh town centre, and adjoins the village of Fair Oak.The village greatly expanded during the late 1980s and 1990s, with developments such as The Drove and Meadowsweet way. A new village hall was also built at this time. In 2014 a further development was proposed and permission was eventually granted for 2500 homes to be constructed on a 310 area situated to the south west of the original village. The development is meant to include a mix of housing, green spaces, commercial premises and sports and leisure facilities. It forms part of the Southampton Urban Area.The current councillor is Michelle Marsh, who represents the Liberal Democrat party in the Fair Oak & Horton Heath ward. Marsh gained local notoriety for standing up against local felling.The village has two pubs, 'The Brigadier Gerard' and 'The Lapstone'.

The King's School, on Allington Lane in Fair Oak, Hampshire, is an independent Christian faith school with 229 pupils As of 2023. The school was founded in 1987. Before moving to its current location, the school was at Fishers Court, Fair Oak.

Wyvern College is a [private education|coeducational]] secondary school with academy status for students in the villages of Fair Oak, Bishopstoke, Horton Heath, Upham and Durley in southern Hampshire. The college is for students aged 11–16 and post-16 students go on to local sixth form colleges such as Barton Peveril and Eastleigh College, which are located in the neighbouring town of Eastleigh. It currently has over 1300 students, 95 teaching staff and 80 support staff.

Fair Oak Lodge is a former country house in the village of Fair Oak, Hampshire. Much of the original estate has been built upon with modern housing, but the house itself survives and is owned by the Hampshire Christian Education Trust, who operate the King's School from the building. The two entrance lodges to the property also still survive as do some of the woodland, ponds and specimen trees that formed part of the estate.

Fair Oak and Horton Heath is a civil parish within the Borough of Eastleigh in Hampshire, England. The parish contains the villages of Fair Oak and Horton Heath. In 2011 it had a population of 10,212.

Moorgreen Meadows is a 14.3-hectare (35-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Southampton in Hampshire.These meadows are important for their populations of the genus marsh orchid, especially the northern marsh orchid, which is not found at any other location in southern England. They grow close to four other marsh orchid species, early marsh-orchid, common spotted orchid, heath spotted-orchid and southern marsh orchid. Hybrids occur in every combination, making the site a centre of micro-evolution.

Fair Oak is a large village to the east of the town of Eastleigh in Hampshire, England. Together with the village of Horton Heath, which lies to the south, it is part of the civil parish of Fair Oak and Horton Heath.

Hedge End railway station is situated on the northern edge of the town of Hedge End in the English county of Hampshire. The station was opened by British Rail in 1990, and is on the railway line between Eastleigh and Fareham. It is 76 miles 76 chains (123.8 km) from London Waterloo.

Shamblehurst Farmhouse is a Grade II listed building in Hedge End, Hampshire. Situated on Shamblehurst Lane, it was first listed on 14 February 1983. The structure has two storeys and parts of it date from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The building is timber-framed and, in common with many medieval structures, is jettied, meaning the first floor projects beyond the walls of the ground floor. The brickwork on the ground floor is painted, with Jacobean style hoods on the windows dating from the 19th century. The roof is tiled with red tiles in a banded pattern with hips. There are two large chimney stacks with square bases; one with two flues and the other with four, all diagonal to the front face of the house. The windows are leaded in a diamond-lozenge pattern.Shamblehurst Farm is one of three that were listed within the tithing of Shamblehurst in the 19th century, the others being Flanders and Botley Grange.The farmhouse currently carries the name "Strawberry Cottage".

Moorgreen Hospital was a community hospital in West End, near Southampton. It was managed by Southampton City Primary Care Trust.

Bishopstoke is a village and civil parish in the Eastleigh district of Hampshire, England. It is recorded as "Stoke" as early as 948 AD when King Eadred granted land there to a thegn called Aelfric. Stoke later came into the possession of the Bishops of Winchester, giving rise to the modern name. The village is about a mile east of Eastleigh town centre, and is on the eastern bank of the River Itchen. It adjoins Fair Oak on the east. The parish of Bishopstoke was annexed to Eastleigh in 1899. It was later re-established as a parish in 1995. The village forms part of the South Hampshire urban area.
