Gorham Covered Bridge

The Cooley Covered Bridge is a covered bridge that carries Elm Street across Furnace Brook in Pittsford, Vermont. Built in 1849, it is one of a small number of bridges in the state that has a well-documented association with the 19th-century master bridgewright Nicholas M. Powers, who grew up nearby. It is one of four surviving 19th-century covered bridges in the town, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Proctor is a town in Rutland County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,763 at the 2020 census. Proctor is home to the Vermont Marble Museum and Wilson Castle.

The Vermont Marble Museum or Vermont Marble Exhibit is a museum commemorating the contributions of Vermont marble and the Vermont Marble Company, located in Proctor, Vermont, United States. The museum is located in a wing of one of the former Vermont Marble Company buildings.

The Marble Bridge, formally known as the Fletcher D. Proctor Memorial Bridge, carries Main Street across Otter Creek in the center of Proctor, Vermont. Built in 1915, and widened in 1935-36, it is a well-preserved example of early concrete bridge construction, and is decoratively faced in local marble. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Proctor is a census-designated place (CDP) that comprises the northern half of the town of Proctor, Rutland County, Vermont, United States, including the unincorporated village of Proctor. As of the 2020 census, the CDP had a population of 1,565, out of 1,763 in the entire town. The CDP is in north-central Rutland County, in the valley of Otter Creek and climbing the steep hillsides on each side. The village is sited where the creek drops over Sutherland Falls, with the Vermont Marble Museum occupying a building of the former Vermont Marble Company overlooking the falls. Vermont Route 3 passes through the community, leading north 4 miles (6 km) to Pittsford and south the same distance to the village of Center Rutland, 2 miles (3 km) west of downtown Rutland.

Pittsford is the central village and a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Pittsford, Rutland County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 805, out of 2,862 in the entire town. The CDP is in northern Rutland County, slightly east of the center of the town of Pittsford. It sits on high ground overlooking Otter Creek to the west and Furnace Brook, its tributary, to the southeast. U.S. Route 7 passes through the village, leading north 7 miles (11 km) to Brandon and south 8 miles (13 km) to Rutland. Vermont Route 3 leaves Route 7 at the southern edge of the community and leads south 3 miles (5 km) to Proctor.

The Pittsford Green Historic District encompasses the heart of the traditional village center of Pittsford, Vermont. Centered on a stretch of United States Route 7, the village's development began in the late 18th century, and now consists almost entirely of buildings from the 19th century. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Pittsford is a town in Rutland County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, the town population was 2,862. Named for William Pitt, it has two picket forts used in the American Revolutionary War.

The Depot Covered Bridge is a historic Town lattice truss bridge, carrying Depot Hill Road over Otter Creek in Pittsford, Vermont. The bridge was built about 1840, and is one of Vermont's older covered bridges. It underwent restoration in the 1980s, and was subsequently reinforced with steel stringers. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Rutland-6 Representative District is a one-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. Before the 2010 census the Rutland-6 District included all of the Rutland County towns of Pittsford, and Sudbury. After the 2010 census the Rutland-6 District was expanded to include the town of Brandon, the district was then expanded to a two-member district. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The one member Rutland-6 District had a population of 3,723 in that same census, 8.28% below the state average.

The Colburn Bridge is a historic bridge in Pittsford, Vermont. It is a masonry arch bridge, carrying U.S. Route 7 (US 7) across Sugar Hollow Brook a short way east of the town center. Built in 1899, it is one of a modest number of surviving masonry arch bridges in the state, and exhibits particularly high quality period workmanship. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Thomas H. Palmer House is a historic house at 2636 United States Route 7 in Pittsford, Vermont, United States. Built in 1832, it is a relatively upscale brick house, with Federal and Greek Revival styling. It is notable as the home of Thomas Palmer, an influential figure in the development of Pittsford and state-level educational standards in the mid-19th century. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
