Whitton Park

The Catholic Church of St Edmund of Canterbury is a Roman Catholic church in Nelson Road, Whitton, Richmond-upon-Thames, London. It is part of the Upper Thames Deanery of the Diocese of Westminster. It is dedicated to Edmund Rich (also known as Saint Edmund or Eadmund of Canterbury, and as Saint Edmund of Abingdon) (1175–1240), who was a 13th-century Archbishop of Canterbury.The congregation was established by the Edmundite Fathers, who acquired land in 1934 and converted existing structures on the property into a chapel for worship. A permanent church was built in 1937 but destroyed by German bombing on 29 October 1940, during the Blitz. The current church was completed in 1963 and consecrated in 1972.In 1988, the Edmundites withdrew to the United States, and the parish has since been staffed by diocesan clergy.

Hounslow Community Land Project was a community garden and sports area on a derelict piece of land on Hanworth Road, Hounslow, west London. The site, owned by Transport for London, had been occupied by a group of land rights activists who have set up a camp and created a football pitch, badminton court, wildlife pond and vegetable growing areas.Transport for London, who owned the derelict land which was formerly a dye-works and a pub, had intended to build a new bus depot there. With strong public opposition, their plans were dropped in 2009, leaving the land derelict. TfL announced plans to sell the land for other development.Squatters moved in to form the Hounslow Community Land Project in May 2010. In December that year the project was abandoned and the group moved off of the site, citing "continuing antisocial behaviour".

Turing House School is a co-educational comprehensive secondary school which was opened in 2015 in the London Borough of Richmond, south-west London, under the Government's free schools initiative. The proposal for the school was initiated by local parents in partnership with the Russell Education Trust (RET), who operate four other free schools in the south and south-west of England.Turing House School is named in honour of Alan Turing the famous mathematician who lived for a while in nearby Hampton when he worked at the National Physical Laboratory. The school is governed by RET, with a range of governance responsibilities delegated to the school's local governing body.

Whitton railway station is in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames in southwest London, within Travelcard Zone 5. It is 12 miles 43 chains (20.2 km) down the line from London Waterloo. The station and all trains serving it are operated by South Western Railway. The station was extensively refurbished and its main buildings replaced 2015–2016. The footbridge was replaced so as to incorporate optional lifts to the platforms. Whitton station has a ticket office above the up (London-bound) platform containing a coffee shop, a taxi office, ticket machines and a disabled toilet. The station, to allow periods of no staff, lacks ticket barriers. The operator has had call at the station on most weekdays since 2014 air-conditioned, ten-coach trains. The platforms were extended away from the building and footbridge in February 2012. Whitton is the closest station to the Twickenham Stoop rugby union stadium, home of Harlequins and is about 700 metres further by pavement from Twickenham Stadium (compared to Twickenham railway station).

Bell Square is an outdoor performance space in the London Borough of Hounslow. The space was unveiled in 2014, following five years of collaborative development between Hounslow Council and the Watermans Arts Centre.

Twickenham Cemetery is a cemetery at Hospital Bridge Road, Whitton in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It was established in 1868 and was expanded in the 1880s when the local parish churchyards were closed to new burials.
