Sandersleben (German pronunciation: [ˈzandɐsˌleːbn̩] ; official name: Sandersleben (Anhalt)) is a town and a former municipality in the Mansfeld-Südharz district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated on the river Wipper, approx. 17 km north of Eisleben. Since 1 January 2010, it has been administered as part of Arnstein. Sandersleben (Anh) station lies on the Halle–Vienenburg and the Berlin-Blankenheim railways. Notable residents of Sandersleben include: Bernhard von Krosigk (1582–1620) Gotthold Salomon (1784–1862) Georg Heinrich von Berenhorst (1733–1814)

Rote Welle (abandoned village)

Rote Welle (in English Red Wave) is an abandoned village in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Today, there can be found ruins, some of them are from a time when the village did not exist any more. The place is located in the valley of the same named stream Rote Welle, circa 2.3 kilometres (1.4 mi) north of the village Welfesholz. After the Battle of Welfesholz in 1115, Rote Welle got plundered and burned down together with the villages Lodderstedt, Nisselsdorf, Milrode, Wesenstedt and Disdorf.

Sandersleben (Anh) station

Sandersleben station is the station of Sandersleben in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. It lies at the crossing of the Halle–Vienenburg and the Berlin–Blankenheim railway lines in the municipality of Arnstein and was used to connect between two different concentration camps facilitated by the Nazis.
