Wadhurst Castle

Wadhurst is a market town in East Sussex, England. It is the centre of the civil parish of Wadhurst, which also includes the hamlets of Cousley Wood and Tidebrook. Wadhurst is twinned with Aubers in France.

Rehoboth Chapel is a former Strict Baptist place of worship in the hamlet of Pell Green in East Sussex, England. Pell Green is in the parish of Wadhurst in Wealden, one of six local government districts in the English county of East Sussex, and stands on the road between the market town of Wadhurst and the village of Lamberhurst in the county of Kent. Built in 1824 to replace an earlier meeting place for local Baptists, it continued in religious use until the late 20th century. The weatherboarded building—now a house—is of a similar design to another Baptist chapel at nearby Shover's Green. The building is Grade II listed.

Wadhurst railway station is on the Hastings line in the south of England and serves the town of Wadhurst, East Sussex. It is 39 miles 23 chains (63.2 km) down the line from London Charing Cross. The station and all trains serving it are operated by Southeastern. The station is at the bottom of a fairly steep hill, with the town centre about a mile away at the top. An hourly bus (more frequent at peak times) links the station with the town centre and with the neighbouring villages of Durgates, Ticehurst, Flimwell and Hawkhurst. The bus route also heads north through Frant and terminates at Tunbridge Wells. Designed by the architect William Tress, the station was opened in 1851 by the South Eastern Railway. Originally there were sidings and a goods shed, but these have been replaced with a car park. Unusually, the station features a private entrance to nearby Faircrouch, a large Grade II listed house around 220 yards from the westbound platform. In 2000 the station buildings and footbridge were given Grade II listed status.

Shover's Green Baptist Chapel is a former Strict Baptist place of worship in the hamlet of Shover's Green in East Sussex, England. Shover's Green is in Wealden, one of six local government districts in the English county of East Sussex, and stands on the road between the market town of Wadhurst and the village of Ticehurst in the neighbouring district of Rother. Founded by Strict Baptists from nearby Burwash in 1816, the chapel—one of three Baptist places of worship in Wadhurst parish—continued to serve the community until the 1970s, when it was sold for conversion to a house. Its design is similar to that of the nearby Rehoboth Chapel at Pell Green. The chapel is protected as a Grade II Listed building.

The New House, Wadhurst Park, Wadhurst is a Postmodernist country house in East Sussex, England. It was commissioned by Hans Rausing and his wife, Märit, and designed by John Outram. Built between 1982 and 1986, the house was designated a Grade I listed building in 2020.

Tidebrook is a hamlet within the parish of Wadhurst in East Sussex, England. It is located between the villages of Mayfield and Wadhurst. The brook for which the hamlet is named rises in the valley and forms one of the sources of the River Rother which meets the sea at Rye.

Bayham Old Abbey is an English Heritage property, located near Lamberhurst, Kent, England. Founded c. 1208 through a combination of the failing Premonstratensian monasteries of Otham and Brockley, Bayham functioned as an abbey until its dissolution in the 16th century. The ruins were partially modified in the late 18th century, to provide a better landscape feature during landscaping of the new Bayham Abbey mansion park, and were donated to the state in 1961.

It is 36 miles 53 chains (59.0 km) down the line from London Charing Cross. The station and all trains serving it are operated by Southeastern. It is also the nearest station to the Kentish village of Lamberhurst, 4.3 mi (7 km) away: an infrequent bus service (four to five journeys each way on Mondays to Saturdays) links Frant station with Lamberhurst.
