The Spaladium Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Split, Croatia. It was opened in December 2008, and hosted the following month's World Men's Handball Championship in 2009. The hall will host the event again in 2025 with Croatia, Denmark, and Norway as national co-hosts. As of August 2013, Spaladium Arena had been closed for more than a year over the inability of its operators to cover the maintenance costs. It was reopened for a Severina concert in December 2013. As of 2020, the arena was largely out of use.

Gradski stadion u Poljudu (English: City Stadium in Poljud), better known as Stadion Poljud (English: Poljud Stadium) or simply Poljud, is a multi-use stadium in Split, Croatia, which has been the home ground of Hajduk Split football club since 1979. The stadium is located in the neighbourhood of Poljud, which belongs to city district of Spinut. It was opened in September 1979, and has a seating capacity of 33.987The venue was built to host the 1979 Mediterranean Games and was opened by then Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito. It had an original capacity of 55,000, increased to 62,000 in the 1980s, before being equipped with seats in the 1990s thus reducing the capacity to 33.987Poljud Stadium was also the venue for the 1990 European Athletics Championships and 2010 IAAF Continental Cup, while from 2013 to 2018, it hosted Ultra Europe annually.

The Split Archaeological Museum is the oldest museum in Croatia, established in 1820 by a decree of the Dalmatian government in Zadar. Some 150,000 artifacts cover prehistoric times, the period of Greek colonization of the Adriatic, Roman Provincial and Early Christian era to the early Middle Ages and the period of Croatian popular rulers. There is a collection of stone inscriptions from Salona and the collections of Graeco-Hellenistic ceramic objects, Roman glass, ancient clay lamps, bone, and metal articles, gems and coins. The museum is housed at Zrinsko-Frankopanska 25 in Split. There is also a branch building in Solin (Salona and Tusculum ) and two regional centres at Vid near Metković (Narona Collection), and on the island of Vis.The museum complex consists of a two-story main building, with the exhibition halls on the ground floor and the museum library and study rooms on the 1st floor. A row of arcades surrounding the main building house the lapidarium, and there is an attached garden.

The Museum of Fine Arts (Croatian: Galerija umjetnina), is an art museum in Split, Croatia containing works from the 14th century up to the present day providing an overview of the artistic developments in the local art scene. The museum was founded in 1931, and has a permanent exhibition of paintings and sculptures that includes works by major Croatian artists such as Vlaho Bukovac, Mato Celestin Medović, Branislav Dešković, Ivan Meštrović, Emanuel Vidović and Ignjat Job. The museum also has an extensive collection of icons, and holds special exhibits of works by contemporary artists.In 2009 the museum relocated to new premises in the old hospital building in Split, completely refurbished to provide a fully modern exhibit space.

II Gymnasium Split (Croatian: II. gimnazija Split), also known as "Druga gimnazija, 54Ž, is a public high school located in Split, Croatia. It specializes in modern languages.

Brodosplit is the largest shipyard in Croatia, located in the Supaval bay, on the north side of the Split peninsula.

The Classical Gymnasium (Croatian: Klasična gimnazija) was a gymnasium high school (similar to a grammar school in England and Wales) situated in Split, Dalmatia, Croatia. It was founded by the Austrian Empire and its Imperial Royal General Government in Dalmatia in 1817. Dalmatian Government, in fact, seceded the public part of the Archidiocesan Classical Gymnasium, founded by archbishop Stefano Cosmi in 1700.

Stadion Park Mladeži (English: Park of Youth Stadium) is a football stadium in Split, Croatia. It is the second largest football stadium in Split (after Poljud) and is home to the RNK Split football club. The stadium was built in the 1950s (with initial construction starting in 1949) for RNK Split, who began using it in 1955. The stadium was never completed, although it went through some renovation for the 1979 Mediterranean Games which were hosted by the city. The stadium has a total capacity of 4,075 and is located in the Brodarica neighbourhood of Split. It also has an athletics track around the pitch, which is mainly used by the Split Athletics Club (ASK). The stadium is equipped with floodlights which were taken from Stari plac Stadium when it was partially demolished during Hajduk Split's move to Poljud in 1979. Apart from the main pitch, there is also a training pitch used by other smaller clubs, such as NK Galeb, with its own stand installed in 2006. The stadium got its current name in the 1990s. Before that, the stadium and the park around it were called Park skojevaca (English: Park of the members of SKOJ). This area of the city used to be colloquially known as Turska kula (Turkish tower), which was the stadium's original nickname.

Stari plac (lit. "Old ground"), also often referred to as Plinara Stadion, (or incorrectly in some foreign sources as Plinada Stadion) is a stadium in Split, Croatia used originally for association football and later mainly for rugby union. It hosted a match between Yugoslavia and Netherlands in the UEFA Euro 1972 qualifying tournament, and in April 2010 a match between Croatia national rugby union team playing against Netherlands in the 2008-10 European Nations Cup tournament. Stari plac is the home ground of Rugby Club Nada Split. The area the stadium was built on was originally a gasworks and was also used as a military training ground by the army. It was initially used as the home stadium of HNK Hajduk Split, and although it was their basic venue in the early years and it was not until 1926 that the first stand was built.In the beginning the 100 x 60 meters pitch was oriented west-to-east. After First World War it was resized to 105 x 70 meters on a north-to-south orientation. Its first wooden stands, built in 1926, burned down that same year. Three years later new stands were built with a capacity of 900 people, but these were gradually demolished during the Second World War. After the war the stadium received a major reconstruction with a new drainage system, and a wooden west stand for 1400 people. Ten years later the sandy pitch was replaced with grass one, and later on new stands were built on eastern side of the pitch.In November 2009 Hajduk fans watched a home game versus Dinamo Zagreb on a big screen in the Stari plac, rather than see the game in the Poljud, in a protest against actual club board.

Vridni is a steel screw steamer tug, built in Rijeka, Croatia (at that time Fiume, Austria-Hungary), in 1894, as Légy, by Howaldtswerke's subsidiary Howaldt & Co, as the first newbuild of the then new shipyard in Brgudi, Rijeka (nowadays 3. Maj Shipyard), and one of the two tugs built for the shipyard's own use. The reciprocating steam engine was made in Kiel, Germany.

Franciscan Province of the Most Holy Redeemer (Croatian: Franjevačka provincija Presvetog Otkupitelja, Latin: Provincia franciscana Sanctissimi Redemptoris) is a province of the Order of the Friars Minor (Franciscans) of the Catholic Church based in Split, Croatia which is active in Dalmatia, Croatia. The province is one of the original Franciscan provinces founded in the Croatian lands in the Middle Ages. In 1735, when the area was divided between the Kingdom of Hungary, the Ottoman Empire and the Venetian Republic, that province was split, and the latter was named the Province of Pope Caius. In 1743, it was renamed to the current name.The province has monasteries throughout Dalmatia as well as one in Zagreb and one in Munich.They run the Franciscan Grammar School of Sinj (a high school) and a seminary, also in Sinj. The province has maintained a publishing activity for over half a century, publishing Vjesnik since 1951, Služba Božja since 1961, Kačić since 1966.

The University of Split (Croatian: Sveučilište u Splitu, Latin: Universitas Studiorum Spalatensis) is a university located in Split, Croatia. It was founded in 1974. and is organized in 13 faculties and 124 faculty programmes. As of 2009, a total of approximately 40,000 students have graduated, and a total of 337 doctoral degrees have been awarded. University of Split is a member of EUA - European University Association.
