Süllberg (Hamburg)

The Waseberg in Blankenese, Hamburg, Germany is with a height of 87 m above sea level (NN) the third highest peak of the city and the second highest of the quarter of Blankenese (behind Baursberg). It is part of a ridge on the north bank of the river Elbe. The hill gained notoriety primarily by the steeply rising road of the same name to a small plateau near the hilltop as a challenge in cycling. In addition, the bus circle line 48 from Blankenese railway station, which is also climbing the hill on this road utilizing small buses, is nicknamed mountain goat (Bergziege) by the inhabitants of Blankenese.

Blankenese (German pronunciation ) is a suburban quarter in the borough of Altona in the western part of Hamburg, Germany; until 1938 it was an independent municipality in Holstein. It is located on the right bank of the Elbe river. With a population of 13,637 as of 2020, today it is widely known as one of Hamburg's most affluent neighborhoods.

Gossler's Park (German: Goßlers Park) is a public park in Blankenese in Hamburg. It is located north of Blankeneser Landstraße and near Blankenese station. The park is named after the Gossler hanseatic banking family. The Goßlerhaus, a white mansion previously owned by the Gosslers, is located in the park.

It is part of the high shore of Blankenese. On top of it the Waterworks Baursberg is located. It was built in 1859, being the first with filtration in Hamburg. Until 1960 also water of the river Elbe was used, after that only ground water, because of the growing pollution of the river. Eleven wells pump water from depths of 40 to 320m. The height of the hill is then used to transport the water to the consumer without pumps, even to distant quarters such as Othmarschen and the town of Schenefeld in Schleswig-Holstein. The waterworks is operated by state owned Hamburg Wasser.

The Hamburger Konservatorium is a music conservatory located in the Sülldorf quarter of Hamburg, and it is one of the largest private music schools in Germany. Established as the Klaer'sches Konservatorium für Musik in 1908, it is the oldest school of music in Northern Germany. The school offers a variety of courses, including undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate diplomas under the umbrella of the conservatory's Music Academy, and courses for children and non-degree seeking adults of all ages under the umbrella of the conservatory's Music School. Mark Menke is the school's current director.

Iserbrook is a district in the borough of Altona within the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg in North Germany. In 2020 its population was 11,352. Iserbrook belongs to the Elbvororte (suburbs that are near the river Elbe).
