Retan House

The Darragh House is a historic house in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a 1+1⁄2-story frame structure, its exterior finished in brick and stucco, with a side gable roof pierced by broad shed-roof dormers, giving it a Dutch Colonial feel. The roof hangs over a recessed porch, supported by oversized Tuscan columns. Built about 1916, the house is a distinctive local example of the work of noted Arkansas architect Charles L. Thompson.The house was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

A recessed ell extends to the right of the main block, and a shed-roof bay projects to the left. The house was built in 1925 and designed by Sanders and Ginocchio (Cromwell), and is an example of Spanish Mission Revival architecture.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Joseph Taylor Robinson House is a historic house at 2122 Broadway in Little Rock, Arkansas. Built in 1904 for a wealthy lumber merchant, it was the home of Arkansas governor and United States Senator Joseph Taylor Robinson between 1930 and 1937, the period of his greatest influence. Robinson (1872-1937) served as Senate Majority Leader from 1933 to 1937, and was instrumental in the passage of New Deal legislation during the Hundred Days Congress which followed the inauguration of Franklin Delano Roosevelt as President of the United States. Roosevelt was a guest of Robinson's at this house in 1936. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1994.

The Fordyce House is a historic house at 2115 South Broadway in Little Rock, Arkansas. Built in 1904 to a design by noted Arkansas architect Charles L. Thompson, it is believed to be the state's only example of Egyptian Revival residential design. It is two stories in height, with narrow clapboard trim. A recessed porch shelters the main entrance, with the stairs leading up to flanked at the top by two heavy Egyptian columns. The second floor windows are banded in groups of three and the roof has a deep cornice with curved brackets. John Fordyce, for whom it was built, was a prominent businessman and engineer who held numerous patents related to cotton-processing machinery.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The England House is a historic house at 2121 Arch Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a broad two-story brick building, capped by a hip roof with gabled dormers. The main facade has a porch extending across its facade, supported by large brick piers. Its basic form is reminiscent of the Prairie School of design, but the house has Classical elements, including its (now enclosed) south side porch, which is supported by large Tuscan columns. The house was built in 1914 to a design by architect Charles L. Thompson.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and is included in Governor's Mansion Historic District.

Its facade is three bays wide, with a center entrance sheltered by a rounded porch supported by Tuscan columns. Windows in the side bays are sash, while that above the entrance is a band of four casement windows with Prairie School style. The house was built in 1917 to a design by local architect Theo Sanders.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Daisy Bates House is a historic house at 1207 West 28th Street in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. It is significant as the home of Arkansas NAACP president Daisy Bates, and for its use as a command post for those working to desegregate the Little Rock Central High School during the desegregation crisis of 1957–1958. It was a sanctuary for the nine students involved. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 2001.

A temple-front portico projects from the center of the main facade, with massive fluted Doric columns supporting a fully pedimented and modillioned gable. It was built in 1908, from designs by Charles L. Thompson.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It was selected as the most representative home built in 1908 in this region as part of the nationwide competition sponsored by the National Association of Realtors in honor of its Diamond Jubilee 75th Anniversary.
