England House (Little Rock, Arkansas)

The Joseph Taylor Robinson House is a historic house at 2122 Broadway in Little Rock, Arkansas. Built in 1904 for a wealthy lumber merchant, it was the home of Arkansas governor and United States Senator Joseph Taylor Robinson between 1930 and 1937, the period of his greatest influence. Robinson (1872-1937) served as Senate Majority Leader from 1933 to 1937, and was instrumental in the passage of New Deal legislation during the Hundred Days Congress which followed the inauguration of Franklin Delano Roosevelt as President of the United States. Roosevelt was a guest of Robinson's at this house in 1936. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1994.

The Safferstone House is a historic house at 2205 Arch Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story stuccoed building, with a gabled terra cotta roof. A single-story gabled porch extends to the front across the left half, with a rounded archway in the front. A recessed ell extends to the right of the main block, and a shed-roof bay projects to the left. The house was built in 1925 and designed by Sanders and Ginocchio (Cromwell), and is an example of Spanish Mission Revival architecture.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Marshall House is a historic house at 2009 Arch Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story wood-frame house, covered by a hip roof with extended eaves showing exposed rafter ends. A temple-front portico projects from the center of the main facade, with massive fluted Doric columns supporting a fully pedimented and modillioned gable. It was built in 1908, from designs by Charles L. Thompson.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It was selected as the most representative home built in 1908 in this region as part of the nationwide competition sponsored by the National Association of Realtors in honor of its Diamond Jubilee 75th Anniversary.

The Keith House is a historic house at 2200 Broadway in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick structure, three bays wide, with a side-gable roof. A single-story gabled porch projects from the center of the main facade, supported by brick piers, with exposed rafter ends and large Craftsman brackets. The house was designed by noted Arkansas architect Charles L. Thompson and built in 1912. It is a particularly well-executed combination of Craftsman and Prairie School features.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

It has a hip roof, with projecting gables on several sides, and a modillioned cornice. A porch wraps around three sides of the house, supported by Ionic columns. The main entrance is framed by sidelight and transom windows, with pilasters and an entablature. The house was built in 1905 to a design by noted Arkansas architect Charles L. Thompson.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Frauenthal House is a historic house in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story stuccoed structure, three bays wide, with a terra cotta hip roof. Its front entry is sheltered by a Colonial Revival portico, supported by fluted Doric columns and topped by an iron railing. The entrance has a half-glass door and is flanked by sidelight windows. It was designed in 1919 by Thompson & Harding and built for Charles Frauenthal.The house was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1982.

The Fordyce House is a historic house at 2115 South Broadway in Little Rock, Arkansas. Built in 1904 to a design by noted Arkansas architect Charles L. Thompson, it is believed to be the state's only example of Egyptian Revival residential design. It is two stories in height, with narrow clapboard trim. A recessed porch shelters the main entrance, with the stairs leading up to flanked at the top by two heavy Egyptian columns. The second floor windows are banded in groups of three and the roof has a deep cornice with curved brackets. John Fordyce, for whom it was built, was a prominent businessman and engineer who held numerous patents related to cotton-processing machinery.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Central Presbyterian Church of Little Rock was located in the Quapaw Quarter area of Little Rock. The original Central Presbyterian Church building is Christ Temple Cathedral, formerly the home of Central Presbyterian Church, is a historic church building at 1921 Arch Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was built in 1921 to a design by Thompson & Harding in Late Gothic Revival and Bungalow/Craftsman style. Its exterior is clad in yellow brick, with half-timbered stuccoed elements in its gable ends. Its main entrance consists of three segmented-arch openings, set in a projecting section between two brick piers with stone banding. The present church congregation using this building is affiliated with the United Church of Christ. The church building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.in 2014 a church plant named Central Presbyterian Church (PCA) was started in the Hillcrest Neighborhood and was renamed Central Hope Church in 2019.

The Sanders House is a historic house at 2100 Gaines Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick structure, topped by a gabled tile roof. Its facade is three bays wide, with a center entrance sheltered by a rounded porch supported by Tuscan columns. Windows in the side bays are sash, while that above the entrance is a band of four casement windows with Prairie School style. The house was built in 1917 to a design by local architect Theo Sanders.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

A single-story porch extends across its front, supported by square posts set on stone piers. Gabled dormers in the roof feature false half-timbering above the windows. Most of the building's windows are diamond-paned casement windows in the Craftsman style. The house was built about 1910 to a design by the noted Arkansas architect Charles L. A porch extends across the front, supported by heavy Tuscan columns, with brackets lining its eave. The house was built in 1908 to a design by the noted Arkansas architect Charles L. Thompson. It is well-preserved example of Thompson's Dutch Colonial designs.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and was included in an enlargement of the Governor's Mansion Historic District.

The Schaer House is a historic house at 1862 Arch Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is an asymmetrical two story brick house in the Tudor Revival style, designed by Thompson and Harding and built in 1923. Its main roof extends from side to side, with a hip at one end and a gable at the other. On the right side of the front facade, the roof descends to the first floor, with a large half-timbered cross gable section projecting. It also has an irregular window arrangement, with bands of three casement windows in the front cross gable, and on the first floor left side, with two sash windows in the center and the main entrance on the right.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
