Karamu House in the Fairfax neighborhood on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, United States, is the oldest African-American theater in the United States opening in 1915. Many of Langston Hughes's plays were developed and premièred at the theater.

Calvary Presbyterian Church is a historic church located at 7812 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. The Presbyterian congregation was formed in 1880 as Calvary Chapel, a missionary offshoot of the Old Stone Church. The group began construction on a permanent building in August 1888. It was designed by famous local architect Charles F. Schweinfurth in the Victorian Romanesque Revival style. Work was completed and the church dedicated in early January 1890. The congregation became independent of the Old Stone Church in May 1892. The congregation was at first overwhelmingly white. A large influx of African Americans to Cleveland convinced the congregation to formally took a stand against racial segregation in 1953. Calvary Presbyterian became one of the first racially integrated congregations in Cleveland by reaching out to local Black residents. During the first decade of the new millennium, both Calvary Presbyterian and New Life Presbyterian Church in the Glenville neighborhood saw declining membership. The two congregations merged in June 2013, taking the name New Life at Calvary. In August 2023, a high-end EF1 tornado struck the Cleveland metropolitan area. The tornado struck New Life at Calvary, tearing the roof off the portion of the Fellowship Hall, which housed the church offices and classrooms. The roof over the sanctuary was also heavily damaged. Contractors said the Fellowship Hall had to have a completely new roof, and a new tongue and groove interior ceiling. Electrical and HVAC systems in the Fellowship Hall and sanctuary had to be replaced, the slate roofing over the sanctuary needed some replacing, and the spires and some stonework on the facade needed some restoration. The cost of many of the needed materials were higher than usual because of the historic nature of the building. There was also extensive water damage and asbestos and lead contamination throughout the structure. Total repair costs were estimated at $6 million to $6.5 million. New Life at Calvary's sanctuary was restored for use in March 2025. The building was added to the National Register in 1982. It is considered a historic Black church in Cleveland, and is a city-designated Cleveland Historic Landmark.

The Drury Mansion in Cleveland, Ohio was built in 1912. Originally a residence, it later became home to the Drury Club, a social club from 1939 to 1947. The 34 room 25,000 square foot mansion at 8615 Euclid Avenue was built for Francis Edison Drury (1850-1932), an industrial innovator and foundry owner. In 1925 he relocated to Cedar Hill Farm in Gates Mills, Ohio. That new home, a larger version of the Drury Mansion, is now part of Gilmour Academy. The original Drury Mansion became Crittenton Home, housing unwed mothers. It then served as a Reintegration Clinic until 1989 when the Cleveland Clinic acquired it for use as an event space and conference center. Meade & Hamilton was the architectural firm that designed it. Drury purchased the estate across the street and made it a formal garden with reflecting pools, pond, pagoda, and greenhouse. The Cleveland Play House was built on the site after it was donated by Drury. Drury was a Dartmouth graduate. Drury manufactured internal gear lawnmowers and kerosene stoves. He also established Cleveland Foundry Co. Drury had a son Herbert Remington Drury Sr. who became a geographer and educator.

Cleveland Clinic Children's (CCC) is a pediatric acute care children's teaching hospital located in Cleveland, Ohio on the main campus of Cleveland Clinic. The hospital has 389 pediatric beds and is affiliated with Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21 throughout Cleveland and the wider northern Ohio region. Cleveland Clinic Children's also sometimes treats adults that require pediatric care. The hospital is a few blocks away from the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland.

The Crawford-Tilden Apartments are an apartment building on the eastern side of the city of Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Built to fit an unusual piece of land, it has been named a historic site. Constructed in 1908, the Crawford-Tilden Apartments were built according to a design by Burt Corning, an Irishman who was one of Cleveland's premier architects in the early twentieth century. The structure's exterior is brick with elements of stone and iron, including architectural elements such as pinnacles on the roof's parapet and bay windows along the walls in many locations. Its plan is shaped like the letter "V" culminating with a tip one bay wide; the tip includes such stylistic elements as Ionic columns and a pediment. Numerous details were included in the construction of each of the building's twenty apartments, none of which have experienced substantial change since their construction more than a century ago.Crawford-Tilden has been designated a landmark by the city of Cleveland, and in 1978 the complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It qualified for federal designation because of its architecture: it is among the best works of one of the most prominent architects in Cleveland's history, it prefigures the architectural styles of the Progressive Era, and it is one of the area's earliest garden apartment complexes. Despite its historic status, the building decayed near the end of the twentieth century, but it has seen new life: in 1997, the Ohio SHPO presented one of its annual Preservation Merit Awards to the city of Cleveland in general, the municipal Department of Community Development, and to a related foundation, as the three had collaborated to restore the property.

East 79th (signed as East 79th Street) is a station on the RTA Red Line in Cleveland, Ohio. It is located on the west side of East 79th Street between Woodland Avenue and Grand Avenue. The entrance is on the east side of East 79th Street. The station opened along with CTS Rapid Transit on March 15, 1955. It originally served nearby industrial facilities, such as the Van Dorn Company, as well as a connection for the East 79th Street bus line. With the closing of most of the industrial facilities adjacent to the station, passenger boardings have decreased so that it has become one of the least used stations on the Red Line. RTA has considered closing the station or moving it to the intersection of Woodland Avenue and Buckeye Road. In early 2020, the RTA made the decision to renovate the station, with construction scheduled to finish in the summer of 2021. The station renovation was completed ahead of schedule, and reopened on March 10, 2021.

The Baker Motor Vehicle Company Building, also known as the Baker Electric Building, is a historic commercial building in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States. Built in 1910, it was the first showroom of the Baker Electric Motor Car Co., a pioneer in Brass Era electric automobiles. Baker Electric merged with Rauch and Lang in 1914, and the building was sold in 1920. It served as an auto dealership, machine shop, and print shop for the next 86 years. The structure underwent a two-year renovation and historic preservation from 2006 and 2008, and now serves as a startup business incubator. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 21, 2007.

It is located in the Center for Genomics Research Building in the Cleveland Clinic, in Cleveland, Ohio, United States of America.

The Peerless Motor Car Company was an American automobile manufacturer that produced the Peerless brand of motorcars in Cleveland, Ohio, from 1900 to 1931. One of the "Three Ps" – Packard, Peerless, and Pierce-Arrow – the company was known for building high-quality luxury automobiles. Peerless popularized a number of vehicle innovations that later became standard equipment, including drum brakes and the first enclosed-body production cars.

A major structure fire occurred at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, on May 15, 1929. Flammable nitrocellulose X-ray film ignited in a basement storage room, emitting a poisonous yellowish-brown gas which spread throughout much of the Clinic and subsequently exploded several times. The fire claimed 123 lives including that of one of the Clinic's founders, Dr. John Phillips. Most of the deaths from the fire were due to toxic inhalation. Many were immediate; some were delayed by hours or even days. A policeman, Ernest Staab, rescued 21 victims from the fire, and left the scene, seemingly in good health. He later collapsed while working on his lawn, was hospitalized, but contrary to many contemporaneous newspaper articles survived and worked for the police department for another 25 years.

Cleveland Clinic's operating revenue in 2017 was $8.4 billion and its operating income $330 million. That year it recorded 7.6 million patient visits and 229,132 admissions. As of 2019, it has over 67,500 employees, a figure that includes over 17,000 registered nurses and advanced practice providers and over 4,520 physicians and scientists in 140 specialties. It is affiliated with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, with which it started a physician-investigator medical training program: the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. Cleveland Clinic is also the teaching hospital for Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. In addition, Cleveland Clinic has 1,974 residents and fellows in 104 training programs approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The Cleveland Clinic publishes the peer-reviewed journal Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine.The Cleveland Clinic Foundation is the third largest doctors group in the United States with 15,330 medical professionals as of September 1, 2022.

Woodland Cemetery is a historic rural cemetery located at 6901 Woodland Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. Established in 1853, it became Cleveland's main public cemetery after its founding and remained so for the next half-century. It fell into extreme disrepair, and most of its outstanding architectural features dismantled or demolished. In 1986, Woodland Cemetery was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The cemetery has since undergone restoration.
