Aberdeen Hall is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational, university-preparatory school founded in 2004. Located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, it delivers the British Columbia Ministry of Education curriculum from Preschool to Grade 12.

Lambly Creek, also known as Bear Creek, is located in the Okanagan region of British Columbia. The creek flows into Okanagan Lake from the west, across from Kelowna. The canyon and mouth of the creek are protected by Bear Creek Provincial Park. Named Bear Creek in 1833 by botanist David Douglas, the stream was officially renamed Lambly Creek in 1922, after Charles Anderson Richardson Lambly (d. 1907), who had been a government agent in several towns in the BC interior. In 1876, gold was discovered in the Creek. The creek was mined for gold. Gold Nuggets with a $5 value have been recovered from the creek.

The UBC's Okanagan Campus (commonly referred to as UBC Okanagan and UBCO) is one of the University of British Columbia's campus located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. The 209-hectare (516-acre) campus is the research and innovation hub in the province's southern interior, in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley and home to over 11,562 undergraduate and graduate students. UBC Okanagan has 62 undergraduate programs and 19 graduate programs.

Knox Mountain Park is a natural park and recreation area located in Kelowna, British Columbia, north of the city's core. It is one of the most popular attractions for tourists visiting Okanagan Valley. Apex Trail is a 4.0 kilometre, lightly trafficked out-and-back trail, best used from May till September The park is made up of 235 hectares (580 acres) of forest and grassland and contains a variety of wildlife, such as deer, birds, an occasional grizzly bear and Kokanee salmon that spawn along the lakeshore adjacent to the park.There are 10 trails in the park of varying length and difficulty, providing views of both Kelowna and Okanagan lake There are two lookout points, including the mountain's summit, which can be reached by car, making the mountain a picnicking location, as well as popular hiking and running destination. The mountains trails are also commonly utilized by mountain bikers. The park is open 9:30am to 9:00pm during most of the year. According to the City of Kelowna web site, Knox Mountain Park is considered among the most important and well-known natural area parks in Kelowna.

Blue Hawk Mine is a gold mine located on the east slope of Blue Grouse Mountain, on the west side of Okanagan Lake. The mine is just a few kilometres from Downtown Kelowna in the Canadian province of British Columbia. The mine consists of several adits operated for a single year, 1934, and has been virtually abandoned ever since. British Columbia's Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources refers to the mine as "082ENW002", and states that 5 metric tonnes of ore was mined yielding 560 grams (18 oz t) of silver and 156 grams (5 oz t) of gold. The total horizontal length of the mine is approximately 90 metres. The mine is known to many Kelowna locals, and a gravel road leading past the mine is regularly maintained. The entrance to the mine often contains pooled water, but the interior is relatively dry and contains many undisturbed geological formations (first, second). The location of the mine according to British Columbia's Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources is 49°59′2″N 119°31′6″W. Several Kelowna locals have reported the entrance to the mine to be at the alternate coordinates of 49°59′2″N 119°30′59″W, at an elevation of 965 meters.

Kelowna International Airport (IATA: YLW, ICAO: CYLW) is a Canadian airport located approximately 10 minutes or 6.2 nautical miles (11.5 km; 7.1 mi) northeast of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, on Highway 97. The single runway airport operates scheduled air service to Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal, and Seattle, as well as less frequent seasonal service to Cancún, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, and Phoenix. Currently, the airport handles up to 36 commercial departures a day, or approximately 248 departures per week. Three major airlines serve the airport; Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, and WestJet. In 2018, YLW overtook Victoria International Airport to become Canada's 10th busiest airport by passenger traffic with 2,080,372, representing a 9.9% increase over 2017.

Winfield is a neighbourhood and formal ward within the District Municipality of Lake Country, British Columbia, located adjacent to the northern city boundary of Kelowna. The community, formerly an unincorporated settlement, is now one of the four wards of Lake Country. It is situated to the north and slightly east of Kelowna, along Highway 97, in the central part of the Okanagan region. The town is adjacent to Wood Lake, which attracts summer visitors. The economy is based on light manufacturing, fruit producing and tourism, in addition to being a bedroom community for Kelowna.

Bear Creek Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. It is situated on the west side of the Okanagan Lake and is northwest of the city of Kelowna. It was established on April 19, 1981, and was expanded to its current size of 178 hectares (1.78 km2; 440 acres) on May 12, 1988.

The Apple Bowl is a multi-purpose stadium located at the Parkinson Recreation Area in Kelowna, British Columbia. It is the home of the Okanagan Sun of the Canadian Junior Football League and the Okanagan FC of the Pacific Coast Soccer League. It is formally the home of the Okanagan Challenge of the same league. Besides hosting field events, it has a rubberized 400m running track and facilities for other track and field events. The stadium seats 1,054 in the grandstand, and an additional 1,200 on aluminum bleachers. and had new molded seating installed in the main grandstand in 2006. The Apple Bowl also has a mini-track, and sand pit for long jump as well as an area for Shot Put events. It is commonly used for Track and Field events. It has hosted the Canadian Bowl twice, in 1997 and 2000, with the latter game drawing a crowd of 6,200 spectators.In 2005, the stadium hosted international age group soccer matches at Under 15 and Under 19 level between Canada and New Zealand.

Okanagan Centre is a neighbourhood and formal ward within Lake Country, British Columbia, Canada. It is on the east shore of Okanagan Lake to the north of Kelowna and just northwest of Winfield, another wards of the District of Lake Country.

Okanagan Lake (Okanagan: kɬúsx̌nítkw) is a lake in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. The lake is 135 km (84 mi) long, between 4 and 5 km (2.5 and 3.1 mi) wide, and has a surface area of 348 km2 (135 sq. mi.).
