Chichester High School (CHS) is an 11–18 mixed, secondary school and sixth form with academy status in Chichester, West Sussex, England. It was established in September 2016 following the merger of Chichester High School for Boys and Chichester High School for Girls. It is part of The Kemnal Academies Trust.

Chichester High School for Boys, or CHSB, was a boys' secondary school with academy status, located in the city of Chichester, West Sussex, England. It was formed in 1971 during the schools reformation act of the 1970s by the amalgamation of two established schools; The Lancastrian School (established 1895) and the High School for Boys (established 1929). In 2016, Chichester High School for Boys merged with Chichester High School for Girls, to become just Chichester High School. This occurred after speculation that the two schools would merge, starting from 2014. The new school would adopt purple as its main colour, replacing the previous boys' school green and girls' school navy.

Pallant House Gallery is an art gallery in Chichester, West Sussex, England. It houses one of the best collections of 20th-century British art in the world.

St John the Evangelist's Church is a redundant Anglican church in the cathedral city of Chichester in West Sussex, England. Built in 1812 to the design of James Elmes as a proprietary chapel, the octagonal white-brick "evangelical preaching house" reflects the early 19th-century ideals of the Church of England's evangelical wing before High church movements such as the Cambridge Camden Society changed ideas on church design. The Diocese of Chichester declared it redundant in 1973. Although worship no longer takes place in the building, its theatre-like design has made it a popular venue for concerts and musical events. The church is a Grade I Listed building.

The Plaza Cinema was a traditional cinema theatre at 55 South Street in Chichester, Sussex between 1920 and 1960.The Art Deco cinema building was designed by Peter Dulvey Stonham. The theatre opened on 16 July 1920 as the Picturedrome showing silent movies. The cinema was renamed as the Plaza Cinema in 1929 and was fitted with a new sound system, after it was bought by County Cinemas. In 1936 the theatre was completely remodelled by architect Andrew Mather, with a new Georgian-style facade, a first floor restaurant, an Art Deco interior design, the addition of a balcony and an increased seating capacity of 1,063. It was reopened as the New Plaza on 18 December 1936. Odeon Theatres (part of the Rank Organisation) acquired the County Cinemas chain in 1939, although it continued as the Plaza Cinema until May 1945, when it was renamed as the Odeon. Toni Hunt was the cinema manager from 1935 to 1949. He arranged for Petula Clark to visit the Odeon on 2 September 1946 for the world premiere of her new film London Town.Rank also owned the larger Gaumont cinema, which opened in 1937. Rank closed the Odeon cinema in February 1960.The Odeon cinema building was converted into a Fine Fare supermarket in December 1960. The building is still in use as a supermarket, now operated by Iceland Frozen Foods.

The Corn Exchange (also the Exchange Cinema and the Granada Exchange) is a Grade II* listed building in Chichester, West Sussex, England. Built in 1833, the building has also been used as a Granada cinema. It is currently leased to a number of companies, including Next and the Boston Tea Party café chain.

St Andrew-in-the-Oxmarket Church (later known as the Chichester Centre of Arts and the Oxmarket Centre of Arts) is a former Anglican church in the centre of the cathedral city of Chichester in West Sussex, England. The building has existed since the 13th century and was used as a church from then until the mid 20th century, when wartime damage forced it to close. It is now an arts centre, having been converted in 1976 and extended 13 years later. Historic England has listed the building at Grade II* for its architectural and historical importance.

Chichester ( ) is a cathedral city and civil parish in West Sussex, England. It is the only city in West Sussex and is its county town. It was a Roman and Anglo-Saxon settlement and a major market town from those times through Norman and medieval times to the present day. It is the seat of the Church of England Diocese of Chichester, with a 12th-century cathedral. The city has two main watercourses: the Chichester Canal and the River Lavant. The Lavant, a winterbourne, runs to the south of the city walls; it is hidden mostly in culverts when close to the city centre.

The siege of Chichester was a victory by Parliamentarian forces led by Colonel William Waller over a small Royalist garrison. The siege was one of the key events in the First English Civil War by Waller to secure southern England and declare it for Parliament. The siege lasted five days and ended with surrender by the Royalists. Despite the Royalist surrender, Waller's troops proceeded to sack and desecrate Chichester Cathedral.

Chichester is a constituency in West Sussex, represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2017 by Gillian Keegan, a Conservative.
