WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is a prestigious German business school with campuses in Vallendar and Düsseldorf, Germany. WHU was founded in 1984 by the Koblenz Chamber of Commerce as the Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Unternehmensführung; the name was modified in 1993 to honour WHU's benefactor, the businessman Otto Beisheim. As of September 2022, there are 2,082 students (including doctoral students) at WHU, about 243 employees and 59 professors (including assistant professors). WHU is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious business schools in the German-speaking world (DACH).WHU is known for its master's program in management, which has been favourably ranked by numerous publications. Vallendar (German pronunciation: [ˈfaləndaʁ]) is a town in the district Mayen-Koblenz, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the right bank of the Rhine, approx. 4 km north-east of Koblenz. Vallendar is the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") Vallendar.

The DB Museum in Koblenz was opened on 21 April 2001 as the first remote site of the Nuremberg Transport Museum. It is run by volunteer workers as part of the Stiftung Bahn-Sozialwerk (BSW), a kind of railway workers social service organisation, and has its origins in a BSW's 'Group for the Preservation of Historical Railway Vehicles' at Koblenz.

It was a summer residence and hunting loge of the Prince-Electors and Archbishops of Trier. It was destroyed by French revolutionary troops in 1794. Today nothing remains of the last palace created by Balthasar Neumann.

It is run as an ecclesiastically and state-recognized academic university under independent sponsorship.

Transmitter Koblenz (German: Sender Koblenz) was a medium wave transmitter broadcasting in the Koblenz-Luetzel area. Until 1965, Transmitter Koblenz used a 107 metre tall wood tower, which was erected between 2 October 1934 and 15 November 1934. This tower had originally been one of the two towers of the transmitter Muehlacker, which was dismantled in 1934 in the course of a change of antenna system. In 1965 the wood tower had to be dismantled, because the City of Koblenz terminated the lease on the property. As a replacement a 52 metre tall guyed mast radiator, insulated against ground, was built nearby. On 15 August 1974, transmitter Koblenz was decommissioned. Today, the site is occupied by telecommunication office II of Deutsche Telekom.

The Army Forces Command (German: Heeresführungskommando) in Falckenstein Barracks in Koblenz was one of the two leadership pillars of the German Army, together with the German Army Office, before it was merged into the Army Command (Kommando Heer). Since 1994, Army Forces Command, as a higher command authority, has directed the majority of military units within the Army. However, army troops on operations abroad are commanded by the Bundeswehr Operations Command of the Bundeswehr based at Potsdam. At its merger in 2012 Army Forces Command had about 83,500 soldiers in its subordinate organisations. Army Forces Command was last led by Lt. Gen. Carl-Hubertus von Butler and reports to the German General Staff.
